Great selections of asian ingredients and spices. Excellent and friendly customer service! They have prepared asian dishes that you can make at home easily, we tried ramen and Korean bulgogi and Japanese fried noodles, all tasted great like you eat in a restaurant but cheaper and fun to make them at home yourself. Also, you can buy Thai tea and bubba so you make your own milk tea or bubba tea, I love it!

Very conveniently located close to home. 5 minutes is better than having to drive to H-Mart for 30-40 mins for 1 or 2 Asian ingredients. Friendly customer service and fair prices. Also, it’s a local business so let’s support it!

I love this small mom-pop market.They even have a small stand with some very delicious Taiwanese baked breads from one of favorite bakeries from LA!!!!! SO COOL!!!!I LOVE how they prepackage all the fresh delicious vegetables here. Just pick up the mushrooms, green onions, chives that I needed and go! What a super simple solution given the current times we live in!They have a great selection of high-quality ingredients, and the usual spices you can find at like 99 ranch; but do come here for the fresh veggies and mushrooms!I stayed for the recipes too haha! They have simple recipes playing on their TV’s, and you can get all the ingredients for them right there.The staff here is incredibly informative, helpful and friendly. I love the intimate feel the excellent staff provides. This market is what local community is all about.This market is truly a gem of North County; and I’m going to make the drive from PQ more often now.—We discovered this market on an online local asian community and everyone raves about them. Just look at the other reviews too. They also sell frozen sliced meats too if you ask for them. For $20 for frozen sliced shabu-shabu beef is a good price. The package is so huge, it’s a better deal than what you can get at HMart. They really pack in the meat too, so you save some freezer space too for more meat. Awesome!

Its a little smaller, but they ended up having some of the wierd things I needed for a dish I made.Impressed with their stock regardless of the size.

Most of the item are old or expires, they dont have good customer service I shop at wish 3 time and when I arrive the item was lost and they said its not there problem its wish website

So much packed into this little market. All of the top brands needed to make great authentic Asian meals. Their meal kits are also really fun. My favorite is the Pork Belly Ramen. Super easy with great flavor. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. If youre driving all the way down to Convoy to get your Asian ingredients, check out Asian 101 first.

Their pre-prepared meals, especially the ramen, are better than the counterparts from actual restaurants. Try their Korean beef bulgogi or their meat buns for an excellent lunch.

I hate to give a place a bad review, but...Came here to get some Pho stock/paste, and the nice (otherwise helpful) woman had no idea what I was talking about.I said, You know... Pho - Vietnamese soup!She acted like she had no clue what I was talking about..It would be nice if we had a decent Asian market here in North County, but Convoy Street is only a 20-minute drive. For quick essentials, though, this place will do, I guess.Oh, and the name!... Its not Asian 101, its Phil-Asian Market.

Take home the fresh, make it yourself Pad Thai! Worth the $14 and feeds 2.
