This is my go to for all my comics, MtG and Pokemon needs! They have never let me down. Except for that one time with that one thing, you know what I am talking about Mathias! Just kidding, FANTASTIC shop! Customer for life!

Amazing experience! Got some of my first magic packs here today and the really chill dude at the desk was very helpful and explained to me very useful information about magic. When I bought my packs the guy went back and grabbed two more packs and handed them to me saying welcome to magic. This store just for that has earned a very loyal customer on my first day there. Prices are also cheaper then a lot of other places for magic cards! I will be coming back to get more packs in the near future especially with the new set releasing soon!

Great place to get comics. Ive put my full pull list here and havent had any bad experiences over the past six months. All my books have been in great condition. Maybe the occasional spine tic on an issue that I wouldnt consider important. And I buy a lot of issues, so out of thousands of books Id say less than 10 have had a spine tic and that book would still be considered a 9.8. They have great claim sales and all of the staff I have met have been super friendly. They also let you know about great writers and artists who are either at the too if their game or up and coming and they have the best indie books along with everything you would want from marvel or dc. Also the staff is really helpful in letting you know what new books to watch out for. They will give you their honest opinion about what they think is good and not good. They also respect your opinion about what you think is good and not good. It’s a nice place to ask questions and learn more about the comic and card industries. It’s ran by fans for fans. In San Diego you really only have 3-4 good shops. Id put this store as my number 1 shop because of how easy it is to get to and how helpful the staff are. Also if I ever raise a question about something theyre quick to find a solution. I dont think Ive ever had a request of mine denied. Sometimes theres healthy competition with other customers who are on top of what they want but its all in good fun. Also they have back issues for days. I can jump into a series thats a year or two old a lot of times when Ive finished the titles I already have. Make sure to ask questions and also look at the back issues. You will find something you like. Im at the point where Ive found too many things that I like. Watch the foc videos, and attend some claim sales that are on Thursday or Saturday nights. They definitely have some gems in here and I cant wait to see them keep growing.

Very rude service after I walked in with no mask. They told me they still require a mask.. I asked if I was still required even though Im vaccinated they said yes and I said no problem. I went to my car grabbed a mask came back in and felt disrespected with the tone the owner used to talk to me and how they made me feel rushed in the store. Felt like they didnt want me in the store even though I was polite and grabbed a mask.

Its so clean and organized and the prices are great. I wish they had kids groups, I think that would be awesome for the younger group of kids that are trying to learn more about comic books..Will definitely be back.

Although the selection is rather limited it does seem to be lesser known never seems too busy,so you can go in get your geek on and leave with a smile wonderful place honestly

First and foremost, the service behind the counter was excellent. We walked into a very clean store that is surprisingly well stocked considering the current crisis, with pricing that is agressively good for the consumer. I cant wait for the allowance of crowds again as my wife and I are looking forward to coming back to play.

Nice little store with lots of cool stuff. The staff person that was there during my visit was very helpful and friendly. I didnt find what I was looking for and staffer wasnt able to either but I did, after spending some time digging, find a suitable replacement. Which is amazing as I know next to nothing about comics. Our first visit was super busy, so we didnt get checked in on by staff for the first half-hour we were there, but every visit since we have been blown away by how personable and helpful the entire staff is. The owner even knows my favorite characters from just a couple of conversations and slips variants he thinks Ill like into my pull. Great, friendly comic book shop and I highly recommend to newbies and veterans alike!

Knowhere Games and Comics is a shop run by an true industry professional. Hes been involved in the comics industry for years and knows everyone. The store is well stocked both with all of the current goodies, and a plethora of back stock issues to help you find what you need to fill in your collection. Mathias can talk comics all day long, and help you find anything you need, and suggest titles you would like that you didnt even think you would. But the store is also a game store, and has plenty of room for events of all sizes and hosts a variety of gaming events. The store has everything you need and is the only place you should go for all of your gaming and comic needs. Come check it out, you wont be disappointed!

A nearly perfect places for all nerds, comic fans, and board/card game players. This place has everything from figures to comics to game pieces. The prices are better than normal comic book stores. The staff couldn’t get any friendlier is they tried. They are super friendly, kind and above all, helpful. The one and only downside is that their stock of manga is quite low and could be a little better. But other than that, it is a perfect place to play games and buy comics. You can even rent out a private room to play games with your friends, or join in on one of their weekly events. An overall great place to have fun.

This place was an amazing find. My friends and I were looking in here on a passing fancy and were really taken in by how much this store had. It felt less like a game store and more like a cool club that sold games as well. Great place to hang out and play.

A well kept secret, this is the best comic shop in town! You can tell they love comics more than anyone else in North county. Always up to date with the newest comics to discover. They also bring in talented artists for signings. Im very impressed with this store and I know you will be too. They also have tournaments daily, have to feed that addiction.

One of the best shops in San Diego! The staff is helpful and knowledgeable without being elitist. If you dont know your way around comic books and are looking to dip your toe in, ask Mathias for a recommendation. Hell get an understanding of what youre into, what youre not into, and come up with at least 2-3 titles you should check out. Unlike some other shop owners, he actually reads the books that come through his shop.

We were trying out a new restaurant in the area and just by chance I decided to look for any comic book stores obviously the area and there it was - 4 minutes away and open until 10pm! So we drove over to check it out. Comic books, pop heads, figurines and a nice though small section of board games. The guy at the desk greeted us pleasantly in the style of someone who actually cares about the place. We looked around but werent really in the market for anything in particular. There was a small group building as we left - probably fur am organized event as there were at least two tables or for organized games. Well go back.

This is my favorite games/comics shop Ive found in San Diego so far. The atmosphere is always really relaxed and welcoming, and the staff always has an answer for you. I frequent the store for Table Top games and Magic the Gathering, and Ive been to a lot of stores but Im always impressed by their ever expanding inventory of stuff. On top of that, even though I personally dont go there for comics, Ive seen tons of people come in and get exactly what theyre looking for or get exactly the answer they didnt even know they needed. Truly a great shop. Other shops are either have too hostile/superior environment or just flat out an uninviting feel. I know this is gonna be my home shop for a very long time to come.

Walked in there today looking for some Pokemon cards. The staff there was really friendly. They didnt have exactly what I was looking for however were able to find it online within minutes. And offered it to me I declined and decided to get something else that they had that I hadnt seen before. They hold tournaments for all types of card games and they have board games and video game tournaments as well. If youre a nerd in San Marcos. This is a pretty cool spot to go.

Great store, pretty organized and with a lot of inventory. I just recommend to commit with the business hours. I had to leave last time I was there after waiting more than 10 minutes for the stop to open.

Ive been going to Knowhere for all my nerdy needs since soon after it first opened years ago. Mathias (the owner) is immeasurably knowledgeable when it comes to his wares, and is one of the few men in the industry that values community over profit. Its the reason his store has become such a big name in the industry in such a short time, and also why the store will continue to receive my patronage.

Came here looking for comics, the gentleman that helped me was very knowledgeable. Customer service was excellent. I forgot my credit card and quickly got a call back from the store telling me they had it. Will be coming back for sure!.

The shop was recommended to me, due to its size, as a place I might go to find missing parts to various series.Ive visited once before, and the experience was all well and good.Second visit... Not so much.I decided to go in this evening (3/15/2020) since I was close by.It was not the best experience. I felt more like I was shopping at Comic-N-Stuff in the mall.Not being acknowledged when I walked in already put me a little off.As I browsed, they decided to stock their fridge, blocking the area I was trying to browse, making me wander and flip through stuff Id no real interest in, until I could once again flip through the Red Sonja comics I was trying to find.As I browsed the wall selection, the comics are tightly packed stuff fell. Its cool that the selection is so big, but the way things are on the shelves can make going through the comics difficult. I had to give up looking for missing Lady Mechanica issues because every time I tried to move something, the stuff next to it would start to fall.Then decided to look to see if they carried Crossed or Ferals comics. I have no idea if they do or not, though Im going with not.The tables, much like the wall, were so packed it made browsing difficult. But there was another issue that made it worse. Just stacks and stacks of comics laying on the table. Im talking five or six stacks AT LEAST 15 high or more. The kicker, Im pretty sure there were the same stacks from the first visit back in January, because I recognized a couple covers!Then came checkout. The prices were... Okay. I guess. More than my preferred shop but a little less than Comic-N-Stuff so... Yay? Never did get a receipt so I cant really compare.One thing that bugged me a bit as I drove was my total was .10$ of being an even dollar amount. I was asked if Id like to round up to donate to whatever charity theyre doing. Sure thing. But, since the guy behind the counter did nothing but hand me back cash, how do I know where that .10$ went? Im not to worried about it, its a dime after all, but itd be pretty shady if it turns out rounding up is just going into the stores pockets... And the way it was done, it almost felt like that was the case.Speaking of asking to round up, that was the ONLY time the staff even bothered to acknowledge me. Hell, just checking out I felt more like I was some random NPC he had to deal with than an actual human.Id thought about asking about some of the comics I had originally came to look for, but his disinterest made me decide to seek them out elsewhere.I also didnt appreciate the way the other guy looked at me when he saw the Red Sonja comics I bought. I guess its a good thing I didnt buy the Zombie Tramp comics I was thinking about instead, cuz he probably would have said something instead of shooting a look of disgust.All in all, it wasnt a fun trip, and it was really off putting.Honestly, the only reason for the 3-star rating was the first visit. Im not convinced the guy during my first visit knew as much as he hoped, though he was friendly, tried, and well, was at least passionate. And getting facts wrong about Vampirella isnt a game breaker.So, I wont lie, Ill probably shop there again, but I wont be going out of my way to do it. And even then, it depends on who is working.

The staff and owner are knowledgeable, very helpful, friendly, and courteous. The store inventory is stellar and there is something for everyone. Daily events and tournaments for various games also have a ton of people, creating an exciting atmosphere.

Went in for my sons first real visit to a comic book store. Customer service was great right off the bat with an offer to help if we had any questions with zero pressure. We of course needed some guidance and once my sons interest was known, the owner happily showed him to comics he thought would be a fit and nothing that was pricy. In face everything we were pointed at was all reasonably priced and I believe he even gave us 8 or 9 books for nothing that can be traded back in.Will certainly be back!

Fun comic and game shop with plenty of merchandise. Had several Commander decks for Magic available and let us use one of their back rooms for a few hours to play right there. Even loaned us dice to use while we were there for no charge.

Love this little slice of inked heaven. They have a great selection no mater what youre into. They have comics, collectables, toys, a large range of tabletop games and space enough the the close community that frequents there. There are organized events for just about every game you play and they love experimenting with new ones that they dont have events for. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and will order anything they dont have in stock. I drive about an hour and a half just to play here. Other comic stores may be larger but they are KNOWHERE as friendly and knowledgeable. I hope you see what I did there, and I also hope you check them out.

From the first visit onwards, I was met with nothing less but a welcoming smile from the staff and even more welcoming community. Not only do they have a wide variety of well priced comics and games, but also lovely and badass collectables for almost anything youre interested in. With the wonderful people Ive met there and the amazing experiences Ive had in that shop, Id consider knowhere to be a second home for me. This place and its people, especially during some of the most rough years of my life, made any terrible and exhausting day into one of joy, laughter, and ever lasting memories. So if there is one place you should make your regular comic or game shop, it should be here.

This is the best comic book shop in San Diego HANDS DOWN. The care they put into there customers is unreal. ive bin reading comics and have bin going to card shops my whole life and knowhere have I felt at home then knowhere. The staff is well versed in comic book knowledge and lore. Its one of the only stores in the area that actually carry my favorite indie titles and the owner is just a downright amazing person. There here for the fans not just to make money and this is one comic shop I will continuously support. I go out of my way to visit this particular store because no other shop has done me justice like them. Its a small shop packed with the greatest of treasures one nerd like me could ask for and I hope to see them expand and do as much as they can in the industry because its shops like this that give me hope that comics will never fade.

Knowledgeable staff (Mathias) who was awesome. Great assortment of nerdwares. From collectables to magic and Pokemon cards to the three giant rooms full of comics. Cant wait to go back again. Went for the Heroclix on Saturday night. As they get more people I know they will fill up for that game.
