This location always has great deals on meat and ready to eat food! Sometimes theres soup, sometimes theres chicken, and sometimes theres pasta. This plaza has plenty of parking and it doesnt get too full. They have a huge selection of alcohol here and I was actually able to find lemonade flavored Deep Eddys vodka here which was sold out everywhere else I went.

I like the layout of the store, the wood floor and it was clean, employees was helpful and polite also has lots of good cookies and crackers there 😋

Do not buy quality steaks from this store. Recently bought filet mignon, it had an extremely large fat cap and after cooking the meat was stringy. Not at all what you would expect from a filet. Will never buy steak here again. Recommend you shop for meat somewhere else

I am rating their bakery department and the store manager, Roxie. They managed to make a specialty order birthday cake a day earlier than planned. Keep in mind I called around noon on Thanksgiving Day. They closed the bakery at 4 pm that day. I think I saw the baker leave for the day. She was nice enough to tell me to look for Roxie to get my cake. I found Roxie in the manager’s area. She was friendly and understanding. A big thank you goes to you all! My daughter’s birthday cake tasted as amazing as expected.

I would more so give them a 3.5. I like most things about this store but they really lose points because they never have hand baskets. Im a single mom so most of the time I stop in real quick dont need much but an extra hand. If you go early like 7am they are stocked up with about 8 hand baskets that feel like they get only one use a day because by 5pm they are no longer available because all 8 hand baskets being used or thea just dont stock them again.I dont want to lug around a cart for a handful of items or feel comfortable using my reusable bags to go shopping.. I feel like I look like Im stealing. This is the only large grocery store that doesnt carry enough hand baskets and sometimes lose sales because I dont have enough hands or I wont go at all. Im sure Im not the only one who has this issue.

Was at Ralph’s in SanMarcos at 11am on February 7, no shopping carts available at either door. Lines 10-15 deep at checkout. No social distancing. Too many people in store. Clerk agreed with me and suggested I speak to the manager. On my exit I mentioned the above items, his only comment was the store was within the law. And then ignored me going back to bagging a customers items.It’s a.nice store but poorly managed...

Normally a great place and a great store but lately staff is very rude, check outs are overcrowded with just 1 or 2 registers open.

This is my local Ralph’s so I come all the time. The staff is nice and helpful and the store is always clean, there’s just one BUT... the shopping carts. They suck, ALL OF THEM. They look so old, they’re even a bit rusty! My little one is always with me so I need to sit him in the cart and I just feel so bad about it. Management needs to fix this ASAP!

The workers there are rude the deli employees are rude they don’t want to help you the manager could care less if you complain they never have what your looking for or are low in stock rude employees never again

The Ralphs in San Marcos is located just off the Southside of 78 at Twin Oaks, across the street from Cal State San Marcos.The store has one of the better produce departments that you will find. This store does a great job of having everything in stock and getting new items out on shelf quicker than most.This store also features a great Bakery, Service Deli, a Meat Department with meat cutters...plus a Starbucks inside. One stop shop indeed.If your looking for special deals, be sure to check the markdown rack...youd be very surprised at what you will find.

This location [306 S. Twin Oaks Valley Rd., San Marcos] has a working DMV Now machine that I used to renew my car registration. Very convenient!❤

We are done with this Ralphs location. They do not seem to be taking safety seriously in the current pandemic situation. On one occasion I witnessed. deli worker who was slicing meat and cheese for customers wearing his mask below his nose. I mentioned my concern to a manager and was brushed off. Ive also witnessed several customers shopping without masks at all at any given time. The store has a mask policy but it is clearly not being enforced. With immunocompromised folks in my family, I can no longer take the risk of coming to this store, which is not doing its best to protect vulnerable people in the community it serves.

Love Ralphs. My first grocery store as a kid. Great asian section, many Japanese and Korean products. Also a decent Latin/Mexican selection. Well lit store, lots of room inside to move around, plenty of parking. Big produce section. Nice and helpful staff.

I was going to the discount markets, and now finding myself coming back to Ralphs. The market is well organized, open wode isles, and simply inviting to shop at. The produce section is very large. I shop value and price, and Ralphs always has some fruits and veggies on sale. The bakery is 5 stars. The food court is good (other than pizza looks unappetizing sitting out). The staff is accomodating. Plenty of parking too.

One of the worst place to shop ( TAKE CHANGE WiTH YOU IF YOUR PAYING CASH ) because she would give me 47 cents she owed me, she gave me a choice to put it on my rewards card or Donate it, BAD management! Ripoff stores !!

This location has the nicest staff! Stockers are always helpful and give a nice greeting. The deli/sushi is amazing. Checkers/baggers are always friendly and quick at the register. They’ve even gone through the effort of running after me in the parking lot when I forgot to put something in my bags! That’s above and beyond the customer service you typically see in SoCal.

Overpriced. Bathroom was very dirty. They put all the heavy items in one bag and would leave other items in a bag half full, inattention to detail. I used seven of my own bags but she did the five cent credit for two bags, I think she just didnt care. I will go elsewhere

I like the store but today I had the worst flower experiance. I have so much to complain about. First I have roses 6 of them but r smashed at the bottom. I bought two bundled and asked to have them put to together, and this is what I go. The ribbon even fell off before making to the car.

Big Ralphs with adequate free parking and both large and small carts. Kroger keeps prices competitive with discounters although some non-sale prices arent great. Growing variety of organic foods, many store label. Have to use shopper card number to qualify for many sale prices however. Use the Ralphs app for most savings with electronic coupons that can be a good deal. Check out from friendly cashiers is usually quick. Rating would be 1 / 2 point more but Center of store layout forces you to walk more around the store unless you are going for just one item.

Great customer service. 4 stars because they sometimes have expired food displayed. I actually bought an expired food here without knowing it. However, refund process was easy and staff was very helpful.

The ice cream here was decent, if you hide behind the clearance food rack you can eat it for free. Never gotten food poisoning from the meat here. Good.

The store is clean and well organized, what bothered me was the cashier Stephanie who wouldnt move a finger to bag my stuff. Shes getting pay to stand there, and gossip with other employees.

We just moved here, very clean Kroger store. Nice employees, very polite. Maria R. was my cashier, she missed one of the coupons on my sunscreen and upon realizing it she immediately refunded the coupon amount to me and wished us well in our new home!

This is a clean grocery store with friendly people who work here. They offer lots of organic and local food here. The pharmacy inside Ralph’s is also great. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and patient.

Best thing about this Ralphs... THE SUSHI. There are about twenty different sushi restaurants in the area, I would much rather have a tray from the sushi chef. Rose is the best and not too bad looking either, her sushi tops most of the restaurants in the city of San Marcos.

Very nice with a lot of options that you dont see at other stores. Also well priced. I usually spend over $300 a week for a family of 5 and today was about $60 less!

Weve been going here for quite some time and we find that place to be clean and good customer service along with we find everything youre looking for. Its not a five star because we find that the bathroom is constantly missing amended these. Toilet paper paper towels seat covers etc.

This is one of the cleanest, brightly lighted, well stocked, best priced grocery stores in America. We live about 25 miles east of there and we pass up a lot of grocery stores to get there, but well worth the drive. Have to experience it to believe it.

They carry Boars Head in the deli, the best cold cuts ever. They have most of what I need. I always thought Ralphs was a little more expensive than other big chain groceries, but Im not sure.

I recently shopped this store and was not familiar with the lay out. I ran into a clerk by the name of Angela who walked me to the item I was looking for. She was so pleasant, made me feel very welcome.

2 Employees at 2 separate times walked in front of me without excusing themself.Stood at the customer service counter without acknowledgement..after 5 minutes I left without any service.I wanted to compliment Tina who is an awesome Starbucks employee.

This is probably one of the nicest and cleanest Ralphs ive seen. Aisles are wide, and as im so accustomed to it already, whenever i go to a different grocery store they all feel very cramped. Parking is never an issue and its in an area that feels safe

They lowered their prices to compete against Amazon Whole Foods, I really like the prices compared to Sprouts. Really good can selection, meat, dairy, and I guess alright with produce.

Definitely try their fresh, home-made chicken salad in the deli. They make it from their own roasted chickens, and the stuff is amazing!

Like all grocery stores these days, this Ralphs is often understaffed - especially check-out cashiers. But, the store is well stocked, and clean; I have seen much worse!

The lighting is brighter outside in the parking lot and inside the store compared to the one in Escondido. I think thats why it feels and seems cleaner.
