The ice cream is creamy, I mean SUPER smooth and creamy. Best texture ice cream weve ever had. I love that they have coconut and sorbet non-dairy bases to make your ice cream out of. The coconut base ice cream was just as smooth and creamy as the premium (milk) base ice cream. Its also nice that they mark the flavors that blend well with the coconut base. It was fun to watch the ice cream be made. The kids love all the fog from the liquid nitrogen. The only reason Im giving it a 4 star rating instead of 5 is the price. It was about $27 for three desserts. But, because of the great texture and non-dairy options, well be back soon.
We love Creamistry. Ice cream is made fresh in front of you by freezing the mixer using liquid nitrogen. I do get concern about the employees only wearing food handling gloves for a potential of getting frostbite. There is something for everyone. My kids always get the premium base (dairy) and I choose coconut base (dairy free) which is extra. Addins and toppings are extra. Ice cream is rich and delicious. Input you cell # on the kiosk and youll get rewards and deals occasionally. This place a special treat which will set you back $ but so worth it. We visit about every 2 months or so.
Its one of a kind experience. Ice cream feels so fresh. Any fruit you add, would just enhance the taste and flavour of ice cream. I have tasted banana ice cream; its the best ever way to eat a banana. The fruit flavour in the ice cream is the freshest and most natural as it can get. Vegan milk has cashew in it and this vegan milk as base, takes it to next level altogether.
Off course it was fun to watch them making ice cream infront of you with your choice of ingredients! And it’s more fun when they put everything into that liquid nitrogen but what else!! I mean when I have to compare the taste and the price and everything then I just find out this place is fancy and better to come once for the experience may be!! or you can come back couple of more times if you have a young kid!! And that’s it..
This was my first visit to Creamistry. I love that you can pick from different bases including milk, coconut, cashew and water (sorbet). Your ice cream is custom made to order with the base and additions you select. I ordered the coconut base with chocolate, peanut butter sauce and bananas. It was very delicious. The texture was very smooth and creamy, and I liked that it wasnt too sweet. This is my new favorite ice cream place and I will definitely be back.
Awesome new ice cream place in San Marcos. Their ice cream is made to order with your choice of milk such as dairy or coconut milk. It is frozen using liquid nitrogen and it is the smoothest and creamiest ice cream youll ever have. Totally different than we had expected. Definitely give this place a try.
Great concept of a store. They mix your flavor up, then make it right in front of you with liquid nitrogen. Yup!Super creamy.I got the green tea with mochi. Very good flavor with a hint of sweet. The staff is very well trained. It being my first time there, I was slightly overwhelmed. Jacob was very helpful.
I went here on a hot day craving some super delicious, cold cream. What I found was not as expected.Pros:. The making is spectacular, and the product is super smooth and dense, but not very rich. Service was fast and there is plenty of parking.Cons:. The Espresso flavor was barely noticeable, especially when your mouth gets cold. The chocolate fudge was not fudge and not very chocolate, a weak Hershey syrup. Two big scoops cost me a whopping $10!!!I wont return.
Super good ice cream. Worth the price definitely. It’s super dense and creamy and not like sub zeros chunky ice type stuff that they serve. They offer 10% off if you just bring your receipt back so it’s even less if you can remember to bring it.They have tons of topping options and flavor types and I haven’t had a bad experience yet!
I go to watch them make the Ice cream which is a unique experience. Its frozen in front of you. My wife enjoys the fruit of their labor and we play cards while she eats. Portions are small but the flavor is Rich. I like the environment and again watching other people have their orders made. Its got a cool lab feel to it.
First time Here. The staff was great, for new timers.I had the cinnamon toast crunch and my wife had a pistachio. Both were very good. We will be back. I will have to say it was kind of pricey, so it wont be on a regular basis.
OMG the best ice cream I have literally ever had. Everything is made with organic milk or even non dairy products. They make it right in front your face. Worth every penny
It was really interesting to see them make the ice cream. You are paying for the novelty. The ice cream was tasty but priced too much to come back. It was nearly $20 for 2 regular ice creams and a couple toppings. We probably wont come back due to pricing. Everything else was good.
Ok so this place is pretty neat and if you have never tried it you absolutely should. However I dont really like it enough to go super out of my way to get it. Its definitely fun and a delicious treat though. The fruity pebbles one is whats up.
A little pricey but stoked on the dairy free options... also my son loved it. Great customer service...
My first time coming although I had heard good things about it from other people I know. Its a build your own type place so if you dont like It, its kind of your own fault 😉 What we ordered was tasty and one of the girls made sure I didnt think I was ordering cookie dough when I asked for cookie butter. I guess that happens a lot. Its great they have vegan options 😊
Great place for ice cream based deserts. They offer Coconut bases for the vegans out there.Very yummy, create your own ice cream and watch them freeze it with liquid nitrogen :-)
Great flavors and options for gluten free and organic. Ambiance is pretty loud and there is no outdoor seeing. I really liked the fresh, warm waffle cone bowl. I would come back, but only to take ice cream to go.
New place with great ice cream. A little confusing at first but they will guide you through. Ice cream is so creamy and good I will be back.
Ice cream is so good, it’s super rich, and it’s unbelievably clean in there. Everything is white, it reminds me of that one scene in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where they go into the tv room and everything is white. Love that place.
Well the service wasnt very good and we didnt think the ice cream was worth what we paid for. Its as simple as that. A little on the pricy side.
Way better than ice cream, gelato, etc. Creamistry is the perfect dessert stop at any time of the day! Not to mention they have organic options for those looking for something a little lighter. Seth and his team are extremely helpful in explaining the process in how this delicious dessert is created. Be sure to stop in and tell em Austin sent ya 😊
Kids love to mess with the liquid nitrogen clouds. Custom orders. Waffle cones are freshly made and warm when served. My kid gave the Oreo ice cream an 8 out of 10. I like the dairy free option of coconut milk-based ice cream. I would rate it higher than 3 stars, but its just so expensive. Id rather pay that much for the variety and atmosphere at Handels by Moonlight Beach.
Firstly Your cashier, Kristin at this Location needs to be educated on the difference between organic and the premium creams. Also it would help If this location adds a sign to indicate that the line actually starts at the back of the rope vs the side facing the acrylic sneeze guard. At other locations weve visited its always been against the acrylic guard side. Because of this confusion we were waived ahead by another patron only to be cut in line by others despite the other customers clearly showing up after us. Ice cream is as good as usual but customer service needs a but of work.
First time here. Staff was very welcoming and patient. I think it is great that you can come back within 7 days with your receipt to get 10%off your next purchase.
One of the best ice cream shops Ive been to. Its a bit on the pricey side but so worth it! The ice cream is creamy and soft and its made right in front of you.
Great family atmosphere and they are opened late. Just wish they offered more flavors and sugar free options. Only coconut available. Its definitely entertaining to see them make it.
Good cold ice scream. A bit expensive. $10 for a 16oz cup. My enjoyment lessened significantly because my cup was served with fudge sticking all over the outside.
Takes forever for ice cream to be made and didnt taste that great for the price
Not sure what all the hype is about. The dessert was good, but definitely far from the best I have ever had.
Best ice cream ever. Very creamy. Has great vegan options.
Wow, this spot is delish. Im a big ice cream fan and this place did NOT disappoint. The only con is that it does take a few minutes to create each ice cream so I wouldnt want to come on a busy day. But fun to see the experience, I can see how kids would love to see the process.
The staff was very nice, and the environment was pleasing enough. Seeing the machines making the ice cream was a cool experience. However, the ice cream was the worst I have had in my life. I got vanilla with a brownie and hot fudge, which totaled almost a whopping 10 dollars. I wouldve been ok with the price of the ice cream if it didnt taste like pure air and the brownie wasnt as hard as bricks. Even when I managed to break off a chunk of the brownie, almost shattering my teeth in the process, it tasted mediocre. My girlfriend got some ice cream in a chocolate bowl, which also tasted horrible. Ive had unsweetened chocolate before and it tasted like this. I dont know if they ran out of sugar or what, but 2 ice creams totaling over 20 dollars tasting like garbage is unacceptable. The only reason this isnt one star is because the staff was nice and it was a clean store. I strongly do NOT recommend this establishment.
Great selection of ice creams and sundays. Pretty cool to watch then make it
Super fun flavors and wasnt crowded at the time my friend and I went.
It was a bit too sweet for me, but the combination of Takis and ice cream is a damn fine idea
Excellent taste and texture. And its entertaining to see your ice cream being made. Will visit again.
All the smoke from the liquid nitrogen is a unique experience for young kids, but the actual ice cream isnt anything better than what can be had at the grocery store for a fraction of the price. Considering the price for 3 kids is almost $40 I think one visit is all Ill ever need. Also the menu is not kid friendly, parents have to read every ingredient out loud to their kids to determine what they want. .
I wish they had a,size smaller than regular. Its so deliciously rich, I dont want/need to eat the whole thing. Super rich and creamy, a must try!
Once every two weeks we come here and the kids love it!
The staff is amazing and well mannered. The cleanliness of the location is outstanding. The vibe is calming and welcomed
Fun fun fun! And the ice cream is good, and theres a huge amount of theater to make it.
Quality of ice cream is good. Just sucks to see nobody like to work here. Hopefully their Management can see that.
I dont think I have ever had ice cream this dense and creamy. I like how you can customize your order since they make each serving to order.
It was ok, staff was courteous, just not my cup of tea and it was on the pricey side. Good place for a non dairy choice.
This place is really pricey. Expect to spend about $10 per person for ice cream. The creations (basically sundaes) seem to be the best options on the menu since they already include a couple of toppings (otherwise +$1 each).I tried the Captains Breakfast (Captain crunch ice cream, strawberries, bananas, Nutella). Its good. Really really creamy and very rich. The indoor seating area is pretty small but I imagine that once the hype dies down, itll be plenty large enough.Theyve got four or five nitrogen mixes but only used two of them when I was there even though there was a line out the door. It took about half an hour for me to get my ice cream after walking in the door (I was 4th in line).Overall: its a cute place, but its too expensive. I would rather go to Sub Zero which does the same thing for less money (plus multiple flavors and free toppings). Ill come back if theres a coupon.
Although the ice cream was fresh and creamy, it was very expensive. For a basic cup of the smallest size with no toppings it was $32 for my family of 5. There are other great local options for much less. I wouldnt go back.
Friendly personnel and great tasting.Ice cream is very dense and delicious.Try the Premium with tiramisu yum yum. .
Good ice cream base with good mixers frozen with nitrogen to order. The mixing process may not thoroughly combine and the staff is so busy mixing the dining room may need some minor pick up.
Best, smoothest ice cream ever. Im a big fan if the strawberry with fresh bananas on top!
I love this place! Always fresh! Always amazing! The best ice cream 🍦 Ive ever had!
This place is incredibly unique as they use a quick and efficient way to make ice cream at a decent quality however the ice cream is a little too hard and I have to wait a while in order for me to eat it so my teeth don’t have to go through the Cold War
Simply, the best retail ice cream shop there is!An incalculable number of possible cream, flavor, add-in, and topping combinations for your sweet tooth to wrestle with!
My family loves this new ice cream shop! We always stop by here whenever we go to eat nearby (In N Out, Chick-fil-A, Panera, etc...). Its a great spot with a ton of different options to satisfy all types of customers. Its also very family friendly. I would highly encourage giving this ice cream store a try as opposed to your typical froyo shop.
Choose a smaller size than you originally wanted, theyre pretty generous!
First time here, it was pretty cool hoe they make the ice cream. I had the tiramisu flavor, it wasnt as great as i expect it to be.
First time visit. Lots and lots of options. Had coconut milk chocolate ice cream. Deeelicious!
I wanted to like this place. It is over priced for an underwhelming treat that lacked flavor and cost me an extra $1 because I have egg allergies. I simply dont think it was worth the price. Very little flavor. So many other places to get a great treat, this place isnt worth the price to me.
Very inventive ice cream and great taste Id definitely go back
Love this place! Fresh ice cream & many options
Wonderful service! The cashier was friendly and helpful, the owners are amazing people and the ice cream was fantastic.
Excellent ice cream with Nitrogen, TwistSo fun to eat, makes tummy happy fun to watch to
The ice cream there is so delicious and the staff is really nice. The experience is all around amazing
Best ice cream you can get, the nitrogen process makes it out of this world. I always get the Fruity Pebbles with cheesecake mixed in = amazing.
Great ice cream, but not quite sure Im convinced its worth the price.
Staff was awsome!!! Helpful and friendly. Clean enviroment. Our dessert was scrumptious!! Lil costly.
Very clean and the staff was great. They took the time to explain the process.
So many choices. Very intresting way to make ice cream. Prices for 2 range from 12.00 to 19.00
I had fruity pebbles ice cream, my dreams have come true.
Best ice cream I have ever tasted but the cost makes you think twice about eating here often. We save it for a special treat!
Cool experience to try once, but its all about the gimmick rather than the quality.
Good Ice cream and the kids love watching them make it with the nitrogen.
Love this ice cream, they really go the extra mile on making high quality product.
Ice cream was good BUT way overpriced and it was so noisy that not one person heard their name called to pick up their ice cream. I wont be back. I will go to Cold Stone right down the street.
If you wondered how science can make your food taste better, Creamistry is your answer. This was probably the most delicious ice cream and sorbet Ive ever eaten.
Happy with my order, customer service is very shallow but everything else is great
Ice cream was fine. Nothing special except the spectacle of using liquid nitroge. Very expensive.
Placed an order via GrubHub, took an additional 10 to 15 minutes past the time it was expected to be ready, also confusion on how to have mix-ins put in with the ice cream, which wasnt done at all. They put it in a separate container which defeated the whole mix-ins. And instead of compensating for the long delay in the mix-ins confusion they billed me another $3. If you want your order to be done correctly do not order through GrubHub.
