I love going here for all my bike/rider needs. I’ve made friends with some of the staff and they are extremely nice. They help me as soon as I walk through the door, and recommended brands, gear, and parts that are best for me and my bike. The customer service here is fantastic. The store is always organized. If I can’t find what I’m looking for, they always look it up and tell me exactly when I could have it by. My favorite stop to browse and or purposely go to.I recommend anyone with a bike or ATV to go to cycle gear, this one in particular.

These folks are great! Super helpful, good service. They have what you need or can order it for you if not in stock. Good prices and great in-store selection for on and off road focused riders. Thankful we have one in North County.

Went in needing my first set of motorcycle gear, just got my license. The staff at CG were so friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They made the experience an enjoyable one. I felt like they wanted me to be safe and look good and they showed me gear that would do that. Their selection is massive and top-notch.Huge fan of this store and will be coming here more often.

Went in to grab a jersey and elbow pads for my 7yr old daughter.Was greeted at the door and asked multiple times if I needed help. We did not require assistance but it was nice to see attentive folks working.Purchased our gear and was told about other promotions at the register.Its always a pleasant experience at San Marcos Cycle Gear. :)I’ve been a CG customer since 2007 and will continue to shop there. Customer service is top notch!

HUGE SUCCESS! II came in to find a jacket for my wife so she can go on her first ride with me. I cant tell you how important it was that she have a good experience because she was already apprehensive about motorcycle riding and I needed her to enjoy this part of the experience. (If a girl cant enjoy shopping for a jacket then this whole riding thing would be over before its even started ;)Kriss (a manager) didnt know that this was a big deal for me but it didnt matter. She was excellent. She was very courteous and attentive, offered lots of valuable advice and helped my wife enjoy trying out the gear. She came away excited about the upcoming ride and Kriss did her part brilliantly. Id definitely go out of my way to this store vs closer locations for this kind of service. Thanks Kriss!!!

The staff at the San Marcos CA store is so accommodating, friendly & knowledgeable. Always enjoy going there with my son since he was 2, now 11 years old.

Another great shopping experience. I got new Alpinestar gloves due to the fact that my cheap gloves always gave me numb hands when riding. The sales staff was very friendly and not pushy even after me walking around the store for 30min with gloves on.

Excellent customer service. Employees went out of way to help me select my gear within the short time I had to buy them. They were well informed on the products they sell and were awesome at helping me figure out what worked best for me. I don’t remember their names but it was a guy and girl. They deserve acknowledgement for being good at their jobs.

Purchased a Cardo Packtalk Black from cycle gear. They installed the unit in my helmet while I waited. The staff went over the top giviving me a guided tour on how to operate it. Great experience and a great piece of kit

Posting for the San Marcos, CA location on Nordhal. Maybe it’s Escondido that far east. Not sure. These guys are always very friendly and on point. Bought what I needed (it was oil), learned about a magic called Bluetooth that works in some helmets, got some other helmet questions answered, made a good joke and felt appreciated, overall felt happy inside when I left. Plan on returning for more of the same.

Great shopping experience. I went in to get a sizing for an Icon helmet but did not like the fit. The sales associate was very helpful and very thorough when explaining everything. It was a great experience.

They were very patient with me and took the time to make sure I was purchasing the correct equipment and I was properly fitted.

Great experience, they were busy when I came in so I had the opportunity to browse alone with no interruptions. Once they were free I was approached and taken care of! Even though this was about 15 min before closing, I was taken care of extremely well by the ASM. Not only did I take the jacket and gloves I originally came in for, I was able to save more and rack up cash back signing up for their new discount program and purchasing all the gear I was missing at a discounted orice! I kept them almost an hour after closing and I never felt rushed whatsoever. They are good people that want you to be safe and will take the time to answer all questions!

I visited Cycle Gear in San Marcos, CA this past weekend looking for a new gear. The SM CG team are always happy to help and provide their knowledge and guidance. They provide a great experience every time I visit.

This is the best Cycle Gear store I have ever experienced. The Manager Kriss knows her store well! Makes a very inviting atmosphere to all customers and employees as well! I bought a motorcycle helmet at the Kearney Mesa store that was not the right fit. It left visible bruises on my forehead every time I wore it. They insisted it was my right fit. There wouldn’t listen to my complaints. This store in San Marcos was specifically recommended by a friend who says he will never go anywhere else for any of his gear. San Marcos employees care about the customer needs. They not only listen to my complaints, they fit me properly for the right helmet. I upgraded and now love my helmet! I can ride comfortably not worrying about headaches. Thank you Kriss for restoring my faith in your store! I won’t ever go anywhere else and I will tell everyone I know about your exceptional customer service.

As always Cycle Gear is awesome in every way. Staff was very helpful. I got my gloves stolen out of my saddlebags and the representative helped us find the right ones. I ended up going with the Sedici Chicane gloves and my girlfriend with Alpinestars SMX-E womens. In and out in 20 minutes which is a big deal for me. Once again Cycle Gear delivers

So i called to make sure if this location still open because it’s already 5:40pm on that time and i speak to lady and the lady told me they closed at 7pm so i went to this location and when i get there it’s already closed! 6:03 that time and I called again and speak to the lady ask why they already closed and she said (yes sorry were closed already there’s nothing i can do about that) and i was like you told me that you guys closed at 7pm and once i get there is closed! I will never coming back on this location!!!!

Went and got tires installed on my 2002 Yamaha Roadstar and everything looked good till I got the tires on the bike. The mechanic installed my rear tire on the rim backwards. Now I have to take time out of my day to go back there and get it fixed. Not too happy with this. Will not recommend the tire service.

Every experience I have had at Cycle Gear San Marcos has been personable and professional. They make me feel as I’m part of family and not just a sale.

Great places to get riding accessories and bike parts. If they dont have a part they will order it and ship it to the store free of charge. Always very helpful when going in. Regardless of how many questions you have.

Jeff was helpful with my order and also mounted my tube and tire in an expeditious manner.

Its nice to find a place where the staff is very knowledable and honest. They are able to help with every aspect of moto from gear related questions to bike preference questions. When I need advice I know where to go.

Great store to deal with, I went in because I had an issue with some Sedici glove that I had purchased in October 2020. They were happy to do the exchange, but unfortunately they dont make the ones that I had any longer (and they were awesome!). I looked at the new offerings from Sedici that they had and but, sadly Sedici has made the gloves that I looked at cheap and inferior to what I currently had, and they cost more!! Cycle Gear/Sedici go back to the quality you used to make!!! VERY DISSAPOINTING!!

The cycle gear i went too was very low on inventory but it was in the midst of the pandemic. We went to purchase some last needed supplies for off-roading and they had some of what we needed.

They guys at the San Marcos cycle gear knew exactly what I was looking for and went above and beyond to help me out

This store has great merchandise, but their customer service is lousy. Their not consistent with tire repairs, when you order specialty items and arrive to pickup they cant find the items cause theyre improperly stored! So, their inventory system needs work. This falls on mgnmt.for lack of training their staff.

Great service and employees, but the security device wasn’t removed from my gloves, and wasn’t noticed until I had already gotten home 45 miles away. I guess I get to go back.

I usually go to the store by my house in Chula vista but I. Working in Escondido so this one its near by, even if the store its small compared the other 2 in San Diego they have pretty much everything and the guys working here are really friendly I recommend this place for your motorcycle gear and other stuff......

Anytime I need something for my bike this is a spot I had to.. they always got what I need..

Sunday morning I picked up a nail which promptly flattened my rear tire. Thankfully, unlike every other motorcycle shop, Cycle Gear is open on Sundays. I called at lunchtime to see if they had my size in stock and to make an appointment to bring my wheel in. I had no expectation of the work being done that day. Not only was the tire in stock, the price was fantastic and Miki was able to change it and give me back the wheel that evening. Miki and the rest of the crew are friendly, knowledgeable and their service exceeded my expectations.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Max at the San Marcos store. I needed a new helmet and had no idea of where to start and/or what to purchase. Max was patient and extremely informative and walked me through the entire process. I also brought in my old helmet which had a Harley Sena installed which I purchased from Harley. I asked Max if he could install and he said “no-problem”... but the install on my new helmet was going to require some additional parts which he did not have. I planned on stopping my Harley anyway to pick up some parts... so I figured.. no problem... Harley will install.That is until I arrived at Harley and they told me they no longer install the headsets due to potential “liabilities”... go figure..They were very helpful in assisting me in resourcing the parts I needed... but were unable to assist with the install.So today... back to Cycle Gear today... Max & Nicholas were on site and happy to assist... “no problem... happy to take care of you...”... kicked them a $20 which they refused to take...“were here to take care of our customers... this is what we do”...Sold for life... !!!!Own several bikes.. always need gear... electronics... helmets... best of the best of experiences...Don’t know who owns or manages the store... whatever they are doing... it’s all “RIGHT” by me....

Great variety and great prices. This place is your trusty place where you can find anything motorcycle related at every price range. Their customer service is great. They will let you browse the store without harassing you but available for any questions.

Went to Cycle Gear for 2 stroke injector oil, octane booster, a rear license plate bracket and goggle tear-offs. Left empty handed.

Very cool & helpful guys. Really nice store. Went here over ordering online & teally happy we did. Gear should be bought in person so you can ensure proper fit. If it doesnt fit properly, safety will suffer. This place has a great selection with a helpful & knowledgeable staff!

The store was somewhat disorganized, due to a water leak in one of the back rooms. Staff were as helpful as usual, and tried to take care of the customers as best they could.

I did find what I want for a good price! I cant wait to return for more! Also friendly staff!
