If you have any issue with your glasses, must go that place. They helped me about my all issue nicely. Even with my weird questions. Also Assistant Manager Sandra she is definitely know what she doing. If you find her you will get very professional and kindly help. Thanks Sandra
A wonderful customer experienceat Hillsdale with Daniel and Sandra…They both made me feel they were genuinely interested in helping me have a memorable experience in their care. On my FIRST VISIT with Daniel, he surprised me. While I was searching for my new frames, Daniel went to work quietly on his own and showed up with a frame he picked out for me. They were high style, a light,, delicate “not-quite-black” understated shade. They were perfect and a frameI would never have noticed. I was filled with a sense of renewal when I left the store, knowing in a few days a whole new look would be mine. On my SECOND VISIT to pick up my glasses, I met Sandra. She loved the my frames too! She thoughtfully fitted my glasses with great care. Daniel showed up a few minutes later —— he remembered his fine pick! I had decided to have my sunglasses renewed too. Between the two them, mission accomplished!! Getting new glasses was my first shopping experience after many months.A fresh start!! Daniel and Sandra, I thank you both!!
Alex and Ricky were extremely patient with us. They were very hospitable and helped us with everything! Excellent customer service!!!!!
Had a great experience at the SM LensCrafters. Needed a glasses adjustment, but when I arrived, it was close to closing time. Instead of turning me away, Melissa let me in, and Kat helped to adjust my glasses. They were both really nice and friendly, and I’m really grateful they were able to accommodate me. Wonderful customer support from a great staff!!
Rep. Daniel was most professional at taking care of my issue. He was courteous and very knowledgeable while taking care of me. I’ll recommend his services to all of my friends and colleagues.
I seldom write these, but here goes:I had a wonderful experience with Alexandra (shown as Sandra on my receipt), particularly when the insurance portal went down and I was unable to complete my transaction. Though I was very upset, she acknowledged how I felt, apologized for the system error, and went out of her way to provide alternatives to address the problem. Her attitude and response felt genuine to me, and she seemed to have truly cared. I was no longer upset when I left. (07/27/21)Another person I want to mention is Melissa (I hope this is the person I am thinking of). When I came in the next morning to complete my transaction with Alexandra from yesterday, there was a very irate customer at the front. Melissa dealt with the person using strong but emphatically polite language. I applaud not giving in to unreasonable requests, but I applaud even harder for her offering of a fair compromise despite the irate customer doubling down on their aggressiveness, volume, and general ignorance. The irate customer begrudgingly agreed and eventually left. (07/28/21)In short, excellent people providing excellent service. They have definitely secured a repeat customer. Also, the selection of frames is dope. Definitely a price shock though if one isn’t expecting it.(I was not coerced or incentivized to write this review. These people deserve recognition.)
Daniel is the best Optician I have worked with pretty much ever. I would give him 1000 stars if I could! He is extremely knowledgeable, will go out of his way to be helpful and has a great personality too. Thank you Daniel for all of the things you did to help us. You rock!
Daniel was very courteous and patient. Glad to be back.
Great store they go above and beyond Alexandra’s customer service is impeccable. I highly recommend this place
I’ve had a great experience and got my lovely lens today quickly. Advisor Kate and and Alexandra are very friendly and professional. Thanks for your help!
Very knowledgeable and friendly. Easy to make the appointment. Lots of styles of frames. No issues with insurance.
Daniel was great! Very efficient and knowledgeable. Two of my most favorite things!
Great experience. no nonsense. got an eye exam, happened right on time, went smoothly. frame fitting experience was great. friendly staff.
Daniel is sweet and was a huge help to me!Thanks a bunch, my new friend!Friendly, efficient service!
My experience was great from start to finish. I was helped throughout my whole visit and I am very satisfied with my glasses. I will definitely be back!
The experience for selecting the glasses was awesome . They have wide collection of glass frames . Once the order is placed they don’t follow up with you about when they arrive . They get it 5 weeks late and they gave me an extra glass frame for free . Both the glasses are uncomfortable, one is super loose and one is super tight . I took them to the shop to tighten the former and the optometrist says it gets loose once you wear it and said ‘ see you next month ‘ . I am wearing glasses for the past 8 years and have not faced such an issue while wearing them. Please avoid this place and save your money ! I have a very good glass frame but it’s useless as it’s uncomfortable to wear .
Horrible experience. Spent $500 on lenses with “scratch resistance” and when they were repeatedly scratched in the first few months, they would do nothing about it. Turns out the prescription was also incorrect.
Daniel was great!Awesome customer service!Keep it up.
Daniel and Kay were very knowledgeable, professional and helpful in selecting the best possible glasses for me.Their customer service skills were excellent.
I love the protection plan and how quickly I could get my glasses lens replaced. Also Daniel is always so helpful and cheerful.
Waited for a long time outside of the store with no one to check on us, and finally once a worker came they told me if I don’t have prescription in hand I cannot try on lenses because of COVID protocol... What else am I supposed to do then?? How can I buy glasses without trying them on? Don’t see any signs about this rule either. Terrible customer service.
Excellent Customer Service!Alex was very patient, professional and knowledgeable!
Wonderful experience. Firstly they answer the phone which in today’s world is not always the caseMelissa was very helpful and Kat fitted me quickly and was very knowledgeableThanks could not have been better!
I had an a wonderful experience both my wife and I were able to get a total of three pair of glasses, were helped by 2 different salespeople who were competent, caring and efficient. We both felt safe, protected and socially distanced from others. In addition Mina delivered my glasses to my house 15 miles away from the store. I have raved about the service and professionalism to several friends and business associates. Thank you!!!
Love Hillsdale LensCrafters!! Everyone there is so knowledgeable and helpful and super friendly!! My family has been going there for years and we have never been disappointed! Their insurance policy ROCKS! Scratches or broken glasses always replaced, no questions asked!! Very satisfied !!!!
I was at Hillsdale LensCrafters and had the best help from Alexandra. Loved her!!!!!
Anti business. Couldn’t believe that they wouldn’t let us in without having a prescription in hand.
Great Service from Andy and everyone in the store.
I called to ask for my prescription to be emailed to me for the third time because I didn’t receive it after the first two attempts. Associate named LORY answered and said they had already emailed it and told me I can pick it up if I want it. I don’t live nearby so it’s not an easy option. I told her that I checked inbox, junk, etc and it was not showing up. I asked her if she can try again with a different email and if it didn’t work then I’ll call again after I get fax number for new doctor. By this point she was already annoyed and using a rude tone. She said yes and hung up. I had to call again to provide the new email and received my prescription in my email within two minutes.
Thank you Daniel for your help!
I came in a day before to look at the selection and Daniel was there every step of the way to help me out and even make small talk, he kept having me laugh what a great person. Im sorry to Lauren (not in a bad way) i new to getting glasses so lauren helped me out pretty much the whole day helping me out trying to find my correct info.. So lauren thank you so much and Thank you for dealing w me, i really appreciate.. And last but not least Genesis. She finished out my entire process w a small on your face even w the mask you still can still feel the vibe and energy she was giving... and thank you for everything you did for me again.. sorry for the long message
Yes. The two people that helped me were awesome. I can’t recall the females name but but both her and Reno went above and beyond my expectations. They were awesome and were able to help me with all my vision needs and I appreciate that.
The facilities’s unfamiliarity took me too much time
The Staff was Very Professional and Nice! Great Customer Service!
Super fast, Glasses came in early, good and stylish selection. 6 stars if possible.
I spoke with Mina this evening as my lens fell out. I was surprised she so so very helpful as I am handicapped she gave perfect very close directions. Made it very fast short walk just perfect. I got there she again very helpful even though I was there, five minutes till closing, she was happy to fix and adjust my new VA glasses they now fit and feel great. She was a kind person I would strongly recommend seeing her. Thanks,Rick
The service is awful. They only have one employee working the register even though there are two registers. When it’s time to ring out another customer from the eye examination area, they will stop the employee working the register to check someone out. Therefore, there is a lot of waiting time, especially if another customer comes out of the eye examination area.
I had a great experience last night at the store in the Hillsdale Mall, San Mateo, CA (Sat 3/14/2020). I’d like to call out Dr. Hsu for his extensive knowledge, professionalism, and wonderful ‘bedside’ manner, Kat (Kathleen) for her beyond excellent, welcoming, warm customer service and attentive step-by-step help with selecting my frames (she has a great sense of style), and finally Laurie who taught me how to use contact lenses for the very first time in such a patient and kind manner, and for her obvious expertise in fitting my new frames. This trio of staff made my visit perfect and so pleasant for the several hours I spent there; the three of them seem to work really well together, a melded team, and also complement each other’s strengths perfectly—this is exactly the kind of thing that ‘shows on the outside’ to customers like me. LensCrafters needs to retain and promote these three employees! (I’ve not been paid to write this review and have no affiliation with Lenscrafters besides being a customer.)
I had a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and told me every little details of what was happening. Dr Nathan Hsu was awesome. Will definitely go back there again.
They don’t even dilate the eyes during the exam which is important for prevention of eye diseases. My prescription is incorrect because it didn’t reflect my astigmatism on the left eye. Basically the money for the exam is thrown out of the window. The experience was rushed because they want to fit more clients into their schedule.
I have been going here for the last two years. While at times they can get rather busy and seem a little understaffed. It’s due to the fact they are being one on one with the customer. So I don’t mind. I have had my eyes examined here twice. The doctors are nice and always remember me. The staff have always been helpful and quick. While I’m sure there are places cheaper etc. I guess I am paying for the service and the fact my glasses were ready in an hour! (Only if u have a simple prescription). I will continue to come here. I also try to come early when the traffic is light.
Amazing work! Keep up doing great work, definitely will come back
The worst service ever. No human touch at all. Everything is over priced and even the extended warranty is a rip off. Never, never trust this store and especially not the sales people there.
The lady that helped me, Mina, was very helpful and patient. She helped me get my new prescription put in my old sunglass frames. I was told many times that new lenses could not be put in my old frames. They did it ! LensCrafters rocks!
Had an exam and new pair of glasses recently. Rino was very attentive, took time to listen what I was looking for.
Such a great experience!
I went as a walk in. I was not expecting to be helped because I did not but my eyeglasses from this place. I ask the lady if she can help me adjust my eyeglasses and she did it without any charge. She was very accommodating!
Mina, one of your office managers, need to be retrained in customer service. My son went in for his eye exam appointment and was sent away because they couldnt access his records from another Lenscrafters site. After that situation was sorted out (I pointed out that you dont need his file/record to get an eye exam), she then insisted that I have to be onsite to sign the minor authorization form (hes 5 days away from turning 18) before they can provide service, even when I said I would sign and fax in the form. The optometrist called me back and accepted my fax signature.A 2.5 hours ordeal just to get an eye exam.I am very disappointed with their level of service and will never return to this location!
An appointment was made a week back and when we came back for our appointment, the appointment was not there in their system. No one sounded apologetic. Their selection of frames is also minimal. Disappointed.
On 09/08/2018, I spoke with Mina, a group lead at this facility to inquire as to the whereabouts of my (ordered and paid for) lenses and frames. She explained that the frame swere enroute via the courier UPS and the lenses had been completed by the lab, delivered to the courier and pending shipment. Subsequently, I asked if i can have the tracking number for the frames. A standard request, or so i thought. Mina, flatly refused and after 15 + minutes of obfuscating information explaining why she couldnt provide a paying customer i.e. me) vital/pertinent information (UPS tracking number) that could have done the following:Ease customer anxiety, foster goodwill about LensCrafters, strengthen brand affection for Lenscrafters and thereby return great value to the company (it is a well documented fact that great customer service experience always returns tremendous value to organizations), she hung up on me telling me that I was making her uncomfortable. Needless to say, I will not be doing business with Lenscrafters again. Twice they have demonstrated that they hold little to no value in customer service. To that end, I would recommend that others take their business elsewhere as well. One of the beauties of the free market is this; The existence of substitute services within the marketplace should (in theory anyway) drive business to compete for our (the patrons/consumers/customers) dollars. The businesses that distinguish themselves from their competitors by providing stellar customer service triumph, those that dont collapse. Lenscrafters at Hillsdale Mall shopping center have demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that they belong in the latter category. And at this rate, their fate of going out of business/closed down seems inevitable. Only a matter of time, If this deplorable (and worsening by the day) state of fairs in customer service persists.
On 09/03/2018, two members of the front staff, under instructions by the Optometrist Dr. Hsu, collaborated to demand that I re-write my entire intake form; which, in the interest of being expeditious, I had come in a day earlier (09/02/2018) to painstakingly complete. When pressed as to the reason for this further inconvenience, both staff members stated that they had been instructed by the resident Optometrist (dr. Hsu) to have me re-do the intake form because it did not meet their internal standards. When pressed further for a policy that highlights this information, neither could provide evidence to support claim.Noteworthy; on 09-02-2018, I explicitly asked the patient intake personnel to examine the document for legibility, accuracy and completeness. I further stated that if any information was missing, Id gladly remain and complete it. She examined the patient intake form and confirmed that I had satisfactorily completed it, my handwriting was legible and the information provided was accurate. Hence; all patient intake doc. completing requirements had been satisfied. In light of the aforementioned events (in the preceding paragraph) I was assured/convinced that all was copasetic and all Id have to do the next day (today: 09-03-2018) was simply walk in and the patient examination process would begin. I had effectively reduced patient wait time to zero; this is what I was told. So, imagine my chagrin, when I was instantly accosted by the very same employee, who had overseen/processed my intake form on the previous day, who was now asking me to re-do the entire document because the doctor (dr. Hsu) rejected the original (on the basis of some made up as yet to be explained and verified) nebulous criteria. It should be noted that no histrionics or hysteria were displayed by me in response to this appalling customer service treatment I was subjected to. Rather, I simply pressed them (by stating audibly and unambiguously) to no end, i might add, for evidentiary support of the doctors demands. What is alarmingly noteworthy is that throughout the entire unpleasant exchange between me and his designees, at no point did dr. Hsu come out and illuminate the issue. His office (I later learned the details of the internal acoustics when I was eventually treated) is within earshot of the place where the aforementioned exchange happened. And one can audibly hear conversations at normal decibels in dr. Hsus office. It should also be noted that, the decibels levels of our exchange was much higher than normal. In the end, I expressed that, their awful treatment of me, was increasingly prompting my desire to take my business elsewhere. And admitted that while I had no qualifications as an attorney, I sensed that at the very least my civil rights had been violated (i.e. I had been the victim of a tort) and that I would most certainly be exploring legal retributive avenues. No sooner had those words been uttered, a complete change in attitude occurred. They apologized for upsetting me as a customer, stated that they wanted to re-align and re-establish a professional interaction with me, and most importantly, withdrew their demands for me to complete the intake form. Subsequently, I was examined by Dr. Hsu, prescription renewed, new eye-glasses selected and ordered and sent on my disgruntled way. Conclusion: Dr. Hsu (and by proxy, his staff) need to do some serious soul searching.I will not recommend Lens crafters at the East Hallandale Centre to anyone that is decent and enlightened of mind and heart; particularly people of color (i.e. Voluntary and Involuntary African immigrants. And if you want to get more granular, I am referring specifically to folks of Sub-Saharan African genetic ancestry/descent, which have awoken to the truth of their place on this planet and this country). Please see inserted picture that most likely triggered Dr. Hsus behavior.
The customer service here is atrocious. It takes forever.
Very helpful staff, quick service, and great personalities from the staff
The service was terrible. After waiting, etc. I ordered glasses but the entire order was lost. I have to start all over. Avoid this place!
Terrible customer service
Daniel was great. Laurie was very helpful in selecting my frames. Kat was also very friendly.
