Chill environment with a solid selection for both gamers and hobbyists. The staff were friendly and theres just enough space for a small group of friends to get together to play or paint. As our former governor once said, Ill be back.

It is a very good community. There are lots of people and helpful staff for smaller kids. The drafts was well organized, and very fun. The whole store took COVID-19 precautions sry seriously and it was all spaced out nicely. The place is under renovation and was a little messy but it was a great Friday night in the end.

This store not only has the newest cards, they try and keep prices fair and retail as possible! Best card and game shop around the entire bay area! Never been here as I live out of state, but found an uncommon item I had been looking for on their website. I emailed them since the confirmation had no tracking info, and Jordan responded with it. I was a little nervous since they werent a big chain, but they were prompt and friendly. Overall, a great experience so I highly recommend them.

In the world of gaming and geeks, there is a way of talking that comes off as condescending to passerbys. While in the store yesterday the gentleman at the register attempted to help me in said dialect. As someone who is familiar with this, I took no offence, but I did feel very talked down to at the time and the exchange eventually lead to me not wanting to buy what I came in for. Not miffed in the slightest, but wanted to warn the other unacclimated potential customers.

While I do not live in the area, I came across this local games store in my search for a discontinued Blackstone Fortress expansion. I made an inquiry about the possibility of having the game shipped to me, and the staff was incredibly helpful in helping me facilitate the order and answering my questions. This is everything a friendly local games store should be, and I would recommend them highly!

Best spot in all of North Bay for table top gaming. The staff are amazing friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. You can buy any tabletop game from chess, to Monopoly, to Pokémon, to Warhammer, and everything in between. They have an event every day of the week for tabletop fans to come together and hang-out, play together, or paint together. They offer a rewards/point system as well as gift cards.

Love this store, knowledgeable staff and a great selection of hobby games. From the newest releases to old favorites it had almost every game we were looking for.

This is the exact reason to use a small local enthusiatic shop rather than some online shopping. Friendly super informative with kust the right amount of attention but no hovering. Zero pressure to buy anything and just the feeling like you are getting superior product and community jewel rolled up in one.Due to corona, they dont currently have the afternoon gaming sessions for the kids, but the intention is there to get back as soon as is safe.Highly recommend for games you dont even know exist.

We are avid board game players and they always have good recommendations when I ask for advice on choosing games for my family. A little pricey but I understand that they can’t compete with online stores and I like to support local. Highly recommend!

I wanted to check out this store to get some more mtg stuff for my collection. I bought 6 booster packs. 3 of them looked untouched and the other 3 had little slits in them. I asked about them and man in front said it was to make them easier to open so I took his word. When I got home and opened the 3 untouched ones without the slits and I pulled some decently priced cards from the packs ranging from 2$ to 15$. However when I opened the ones with the slits to make them easier to open all of the 3 rares were under 20 cents. It could be completely random but it seemed kind of odd to since I already had suspicion. Besides this event Id say the store and customer service was great, I do recommend that you make sure to buy packs that have no type of what looks to be tampering with them. All in all the store was great just an odd event I wanted note.Edit: Changed it to 5 stars because that was a very nice response to my concerns, best store 10/10!

This is by far one of the best game stores Ive been to. The staff are super friendly and knowledgable and the selection is IMMENSE! They are on top of interesting kickstarters and unique expansions. If youre into hobby gaming do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Not to mention knowledgeable, you get the sense that the employees are not just working there for a paycheck, but more so that the employees are there to be there because they love the environment and are thrilled to share such a passion with the customers. Its a niche place! One employee was very helpful with my seven year old daughter and walked her around the store helping her find a game she would really like, since we came in looking for a game similar to Minecraft.

A little pricey, but well worth it. The people that work rhere are able to help you pick out board games that suit you. I just got one last week and really enjoy it. They also have game nights so you can even bring in a board game and they can teach you if you dont get the rules.

This place is awesome! always a chance to learn about the latest games. They even stock Vallejo airbrush ready paints! I usually have to order this stuff online. Well I know a place where I can get it in a pinch. This is one of the few places to get this stuff locally!

A dedicated games store in the heart of downtown San Rafael. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. A variety of games are hosted in an area toward the rear of the store. Ive been a satisfied customer for many years. Highly recommended.

The Gamescape stores always have a wide selection of different products so youre most likely always going to find what youre looking for (and more) and if youre not finding what you came for, the staff is more than happy to discuss any purchasing options available.The only downsides Ive noticed are a slightly out-of-date website and lack of table space. One occasion that I walked in must have been on inventory day and there were about 40 open boxes of sushi plushes in store. However, the staff was accommodating when I asked for a table.Overall, I think this is a great store and would recommend it to others.

This place was absolutely awesome! The staff here are incredibly patient and very welcoming to newcomers such as myself. Gave me a ton of recommendations for fun and interactive games and even invited us to play our new game there so if we had any questions along the way they could help us out. Ill definitely be back for their Thursday board game nights!

I had very high expectations (after reading Yelp reviews) for this local game store. Unfortunately they reached none of them. The store itself was filthy and the carpet looked like it had not been washed in years. The games that I looked at were overpriced compared to what I found online. I believe in supporting local businesses but I did not feel welcomed by staff. I guess they dont need or want my business or money. I ended up going online and saving myself money. The clerk was not very friendly so I left disappointed because I wanted to spend $300 on games for my nephew. I highly recommend looking at other game stores or going online to purchase games.

A really great games store run by some equally great people. They have an extensive collection of board games, cards games, supplies, game books/manuals, and miniatures. They have a gift wrapping station for people to use (or will wrap it for you) and if there is a game you want but they dont have it in stock, will order it for you and alert you when it arrives. All in all.one of the best game store in Northern California!

This is a great little game store, with plenty of room throughout the store to accomodate not only board games for all ages, tabletop RPGs, war games, a variety of card games, miniatures and dice; BUT, it also hosts a few events/competitions throughout the months. My girlfriend and I moved to Novato recently, and there arent really that many local game stores in the area, so I like supporting this store since this is the closest one to us. 😊👍👍

Really good turn out for FNM. Only gripe is its really really REALLY cramped. If they can put the front shelves on wheels sp they can moves those back, and have the tournament in the front of the store will make more room, circulate air better, and promote magic to the people walking by. Very impressed with the knowledgeable stagf, friendly atmosphere, amazing stock and supply of games, books, perilherals, minis, etc. Great parking and a plethora of top notch local food mearby (such as Sol Food). Public transit is excellent in the area, and there are always events going on which dont infringe on the selling floor for perusers. My Bay Area favorite, for sure.

I wanted mini figures. I told the guy I didnt want plastic nor did I want anything that could be assembled. He did not tell me that the box I picked out was BOTH plastic AND had to assemble it. (this was not stated on the box. It WAS stated on a box right next to it though.) Then he sold me black primer (Admitadly I should have looked at it) Is paint REALLY going to show up on BLACK primer? Then the primer clogged & I cant even use it. Worst. Store. EVER!
