Wonderful experience working with Drew and Amy at Earl Farnsworth Express. We recently moved from San Francisco to Austin and we couldnt be happier with the customer service and attention to detail that their team provided. Drew was extremely responsive to all of my questions and the estimate he shared with me after the video walk-through ended up being spot on and the most affordable option I had found after reaching out to several companies. The team of movers were also really nice, efficient guys. Moving is a stressful time but the reliability of their team made it that much easier. Thank you!!

Fantastic crew completing my job in record time. Expert at caring for my goods and managing a difficult site, narrow road, interior stairs, heavy furniture, piano and one piece roll top desk which required straps and hoisting over a second floor railing. This is my second experience with this company. The third will take place down the road in six months when my home is ready. I am confident that my things will be well cared for in storage and return to me as efficiently as they left.

Run as far away as you can from this company. My move was a disaster even before they pulled into my driveway to pack my items. Earl Farnsworth charges *literally* DOUBLE all other cross country movers in the Bay Area I spoke to (at least 20 companies) and for that price tag, I expected a premium experience and I got anything but. Some of my issues: filed a parking permit for the wrong address (if you live in SF you know a parking permit is essential); sent 3 guys to pack up my 500 sq foot apartment, two of which had never packed before so it took them 7 hours to pack my stuff (I didn’t have that many belongings and had packed half of my belongings myself before they arrived); upon delivery I realized these guys had no idea how to pack and half of the items on my valuables list were damaged in some way. They purposefully put my belongings in as many boxes as possible to charge me for 3 pallets: put a single wooden board in its own box, put my reusable grocery bags in their own box (I only have about 5) with stuffing, but shoved things that needed their own box into some to make it fit. Absolutely ZERO additional care or attention was given to the items I deemed high value. I cannot even put into words what a headache this move was and how many tears were shed at the hands of Earl Farnsworth. Priceless item damaged beyond the point of repair. Every box I opened and unpacked that they had done brought more tears. I have moved cross country 4 times and while each had its share of issues, all of those combined do not equal what I experienced with Earl Farnsworth. They will sweet talk you during the initial quote and you think you’re in the best hands before they bamboozle you. I wish I had another company I could recommend for you, but I don’t, just avoid these guys at all costs.

Cal and Kens Earl Farnsworth Express is the ONLY moving company that I will ever hire for any job, large or small -- we have hired them for at least a dozen jobs. Their personalized customer service is reminiscent of a mom + pa business. Their professionalism and experience to get the job done (and done well) is of true value ad. I can count of these guys for anything, anytime, and most importantly, I know our items are very well taken care of, without me having to micro manage. They treat us with kindness, swift response, and care. They truly bend over backward for their clients needs. We also have a monthly storage service with them and we couldnt be more satisfied.

Wonderful moving experience from start to finish. They moved us from Oakland to Maine, about as far across the country as you can get, with nary a scratch on anything. The movers were professional, friendly, thorough, and very careful with our belongings. No hidden costs. Everything on time as promised. I had been nervous about the move and got 4 quotes beforehand. So glad we went with Earl Farnsworth.

Farnsworth Express helped me move my 2,500 sf house that I had lived in for 20+ years. Lots of stuff. They were on time, efficient, careful, and courteous. I had good communication with their office, and they treated us right. Highly recommended.

I cant speak to the actual service because they never showed up for an in home estimate. I picked them based on these reviews and had initial communication via email. They immediately replied with more detailed questions before setting up an estimate. I responded immediately and then followed up 4 days later to remind them to schedule an in-home estimate. The day before the in home estimate, I received an email, confirming the time and date of the visit as well as some other helpful information. That scheduled estimate date/time came and went with no call or communication. So, I cant speak to the service once you schedule, but if youre looking for a smooth process before you get to that point, I cant recommend them. I had much better response and luck with other local movers.

I cant say enough about the wonderful experience I had. We had to move our grandpa who is 98 and it was stressful but everything went smoothly. The movers showed up on time, were fast and friendly. Thanks to them I was able to completely move grandpa in his new place in a day. The price was right just as they had told me. I would recommend them and use them again if I needed to.

These movers were GREAT. Not only were they friendly, professional, and quick, they charged LESS than the estimate to move my mother-in-law!

Contacted them via their website to set up a in-home moving estimate. They took nearly a week to respond (which, in the every-minute-counts world of movers and shortages, is just way too long of a response time). The estimator, Ken--who is listed as Vice-President on the business card he handed me--took the time to walk through the residence, listen to me, provide his own insights, and tell me upon leaving that he would be providing me with an estimate within the week...and then he promptly fell off the face of the Earth.In all my many, many years of moving experiences--and the many, many different moving companies I have asked for estimates from--I have NEVER had a single moving company fail to follow through with an estimate...until now. One single time a company realized they couldnt accommodate my moving date after the in-home estimate...and even they had the common courtesy and good business sense to contact me and politely let me know they just couldnt fit me in the schedule. I understood and respected their professionalism.Not so when it comes to Farnsworth and Ken.Ill give them two stars, just for the estimator showing up within the time frame they set and seeming professional during the walk-through...but thats about the best they earned in my experience with them.Obviously, not recommended based on their unprofessionalism and complete lack of timely (or any) follow-through.
