Will definitely be back. I bought a used mower here a few months ago. I asked about a warranty upon purchase and was told used equipment didnt come with any. After a couple months, i had an issue and called to get it repaired. Even though there was no warranty, they STILL took my mower and fixed it for me at no additional cost. Absolutely will be back for any future lawn equipment needs. Highly recommend these guys. 👍👍

Sanford mower is the go to place for repairs and new tractors. Hometown atmosphere and a friendly welcome when you arrive. This place excels in repairs with a can do attitude. Had a tire and rim issue on my old tractor which they repaired while i had lunch down the street. Not a chain store but a real lawnmower store. They can repair or get you into a new mower, check them out.

What a waste of my time. Called before I came down from Geneva to make sure they can work on my mower. Get there and the younger guy walking around like he has no idea what’s going on. Sitting there for 20-30 minutes to tell me they don’t work on my kind of mower. Terrible service.

The staff here is knowledgeable, down to earth, and practical. Skip the big box store guessing game on cheap generic replacement parts that will only have 1/4 the lifespan of the real item. There are also good deals in hose on used mowers. They keep my 20 year old craftsman riding mower going. Definitely reccomend.

Way overpriced. Was quoted $175 to replace a belt and blade. Then when told them we didn’t wanna pay that much and we’re just gonna pick it up that’s when they decided to tell us it cost $40 to diagnose. What a rip off.

I decided to drive 45 mins while by passing another closer Ferris dealer based on so many 5 star reviews on google. I’m so glad I did. My first experience at Sanford mower was great. I walked in and two employees kindly greeted me and I told them I’m interested in a Ferris isx 800 zero turn mower and they introduced me to AJ the owners son. AJ is so friendly and I could very quickly tell that he’s very professional and loves what he does. I spent several hours with AJ going over and test riding the isx800. I ended up buying it not just because of how impressed I was with the mower but also because I found my new mower shop knowing I will be treated well with any future service or repairs. Thank you AJ for a stress free and informative buying experience!

I bought a chainsaw from value pawn that looked pretty rough. So i brought it to these guys just to see how bad of shape the chainsaw was in. Well they ended up fixing the whole thing for 45 bucks in like 15 minutes. So now i got basically a brand new chainsaw. Thank you guys!!!

I have dealt with these guys for a few years as parts went on my old push mowers and even given them an old mower or 2 as I have had a couple over the years...they have truly EARNED MY BUSINESS! When I bought a new property with over an acre to keep up on, I decided I would purchase a used riding lawnmower from Sanford mower! Being used I assumed that it would be bought as is and gave it a test ride...all seemed well and I took it home...I hadnt really had a chance to use it, and after about 2 weeks I decided to take it out... unfortunately it had an oil leak...I thought well maybe they could work something out with me for the repair....did they ever!!!! I spoke with AJ and had it picked up repaired and returned at no cost to me! It is difficult to find people who stand behind their work anymore....but I have found that with AJ and Sanford mower!...Thank you so much AJ as I am Soo blown away at your companies standards! This is the place I trust for my lawn equipment. This is a big deal, as I take care of 10 wooded acres on my own, and I tend to treat my lawnmowers like they were bush hogs bred to bulldozers. (By the way, if such a thing exists, I want it!) Anyway, when I am invariably break my equipment, I can trust Sam and AJ and staff to fix it and steer me right. (Always Excellent) READ BELOW!I know this is first in line but AJ actually called me back from the incident with his father. AJ was sort on in assisting me with the issues and told me to bring it in. I figured my problem was just too low of an idle and AJ and I spoke about it and I am going to raise the idle and see if this fixes the noises, AJ also said if this doesnt work bring it in and we will take a look. I am back to being very happy with Sanford Mower now. All I wanted was to discuss exactly what me and AJ spoke about before the dad got all upset. Talk to AJ!Every time I go in there I very thankful I bought my Mower at Sanford mower other then anywhere else.I left the above because I want yall to know at one point I respected Sanford Mower. I no longer will give them my business due to the following facts.I take my Hustler Fastrak SDX I for hydro servicing. while it was there they called me and said there was a slight tick in the valves and it would be $54 to fix. I trusted the shop so I asked if it was their mower would they do it and the mechanic said hed was on the fence about whether he would or not so I just said go ahead and do it. I get back to the shop and they say the price quoted was wrong and it was $108. I am just a simple guy who mows a couple of yards too make some extra money so $350 makes things tighter then $180. I did opt to change the spark plugs also so I sucked it up and said ok no problem. (there is a little more to go into that but that is the gist of the story) I get the mower home and a few days later I get a chance to go mow my yards. I was not happy at all. The idle was so low it barely statsta the blades spinning, the right side spindle now rattles when it starts, and the Bigger problem is I now hear a loud tick in the valves where before I heard nothing.I call the shop on January 23 2019, and I get Sam(AJs dad). I explain my dissatisfaction and what had changed after it was his shop. He instantly raises his voice and says yep thats what I have built my business on sabotaging peoples mowers. I said hey man no need to yell and dont put words in my mouth. his reply was you havent even heard my yelling voice, and that is what your saying right, that we sabotaged your mower. I told him I could yell also but I wanted to get this squared away and no I didnt think he was sabotaging my Mower and said dont yell at me. he went on to tell me how good he raised AJ And how good of a father he was, dont know where this came from but I entered into it with him, and said, AJ IS not the problem you are and your customer service. bang phone dead. called back and he had another guy speak to me and would not take the call and to call and shown to AJ on MondayFair enough he was mad, and Ill call back and work this out with AJ who in my eyes is the best. we will see how this goes from there. Ill edit this with what ever happens.Moral of the story speak to AJ the dads pants are too tight.

I was in Sanford to buy a Mower without a blade from a private party so I headed to ACE Hardware right next to Sanford Mower. ACE doesnt sell mower blades so I was sent to Sanford Mower. I arrived, was checking some blades out, and mentioned if it would fit on a Toro 22in recycler. AJ assisted me and was very knowledge about the product I had and was looking for. I purchased the blade and headed to buy the mower. I arrived to pickup the mower but it was missing some parts. So I called AJ who informed me they had all of the parts I needed, traveled back to Sanford Mower, and got what I needed. Simple, Quick, Cheap. Good going AJ and team!

After 3 years been a loyal customer for sanford mower I spent at least $75,000 but on the beginning everything was so nice because I spend so much money plus I brought all my brothers all my relatives to buy from this place now when it comes to warrantee is when the problem began it’s a nightmare so today I’m done have a machine hydraulic pump it’s making a funny noise so I called the owner Sam and ask him about warranty the first thing he told me oh you have to pay for then from there he was so negative about oh you guys are so cheap you guys also this this and that so I don’t think is the right way to talk to a customer I will never talk to one of my customers like that so again I will never recommend this place I’m so disappointed

I saw the other side of customer service today out of A.J . and others in the shop. Ive been bringing my equipment to this place for years. Ive bought weed eaters and blowers from them (which by the way it seems that more than often I need a brand new piece of equipment whenever Ive gone there) I have given them my business loyally, until today. After initially telling me that i needed a brand new Stihl weed eater, again which I brought in because I lost a $9 screw, they called me a few days later to tell me the whole thing was trash. Interestingly I thought that my weed eater was sill under warranty, since AJ convinced me to buy a pack of oil that would extend the warranty a extra year . However today I was told that I did not purchase the oil, I still have some of the oil in the package and brought it to show them, they completely ignored the warranty. To make a long story short after this I was told that I was at fault that the weed eater broke ( again it was working just fine when I brought in) and that they dont work for free so I needed to pay or leave because he had lunch waiting and I was wasting his time. At this point is not about the money, treat your loyal customers with a little more appreciation. Anyways I usually dont go out of my way to write reviews, but today I thought I would hopefully help someone avoid the headache.
