I had a great experience purchasing a truck load of seasoned oak for my fireplace, they have great customer service and the delivery was on time and the driver was very professional!

AVOID THIS PLACE ! 3rd time I have ordered sod from this company. First two times the sod was late but eventually came. Sod quality was pretty decent so I over looked the fact it took 4 days to arrive and was late in the afternoon. This time I ordered my pallet Tuesday. They promised it Would be here by Thursday around 2/3pm. Never came. Now it’s Friday and they promised again 2/3pm. It’s now 5:40pm and no sod...can’t call them because they are closed. I’m stuck at a job site not knowing what to do. Is sod coming or not? I have no idea. Clients are pretty upset as well. Customer service is non existent here.I just wanted to update my post. The sod finally arrived Saturday morning at 11 am. Look at the condition of it. Thank god I refused the pallet unless they took one off the front. They had about 5 pallets all dead. I feel sorry for the people who got delivery after me.

I should of listened to the reviews but out of convenience I showed up here. They do not open at 7:30, per online. When they finally opened at 8, I went in and asked the gal at the front desk if they had Bahia, she huffed and said, “I dunno, hey x we got any Bahia?!?” He say no and she snarks back at me NOPE. Wow, well ok then, I’ll be down the road. I was speechless and just left.

I purchased Bahia Sod 1 day ago. The sod is green and beautiful. Delivery was on time as expected and the driver who delivered the sod was very nice. My husband and I turned over the soil ourselves with a tiller, put fertilizer on the turned over soil, watered generously and placed the sod down the following day. It’s green thick and beautiful. We did find a few fire ants but we cannot blame Sod Express that’s just Mother Nature and no one can control Mother Nature. Thank you Sod Express.😄

A great place for plants and trees and statues for gardening and they cut down trees that could be a problem in a storm situation. Their staff is nice and friendly as well. Good prices.

This place has the worse customer service I have ever experienced here since moving to Florida. Two times they scheduled delivery for me and they never came and never called. I had to call them. The first time they told me they didnt get my phone number from my husband and acted as if it was my fault when they are the ones who made the sale. The 2nd delivery, they just never showed up or called. The next day after the 2nd no show no call, I requested they refund my money and they advised they would call me back. They never called back all day and I had to call them and was advised at that time the refund was done and I should have been called. Worse service ever and I dont even know what the products are like.

I own a landscaping company and I order pallets of sod all the time. This is the worst sod company to buy from. I had to pay before I saw the sod quality and then it never came!!! There was a crew waiting at the job site for HOURS. Money lost! Do not use this company if you want to keep your clients!

Installation of sod went fine. However, post Installation customer service is terrible. Called and texted four times about a broken landscape light that occurred during Installation and sod issues. Zero response. Really disappointing.

I should have read the reviews.Two stars because it was ready when we we arrived but thats it.I waited two days so that I can get a fresh pallet but if the pictures upload you can see, not fresh at all. Bottom of the barrel quality.But took the risk as sometimes the eyes deceive.Long story short, I lost two hours of work because I had to dig and sift for usable sod as it fell apart in my hands. EVERY SINGLE PIECE FELL APART.I would estimate I lost 100sqft out of 400sqft because of just bad quality sod.And of course, no returns.Especially if your commercial, buyer beware.

Purchased 2 pallets of Floratam St.agustine. Grass was dropped off while I was at work. Had I been home, I would have refused the delivery. I immediately called to question and they said just water and it would come back. Every piece of sod had some form of distress or was cut to thin and would fall apart. Never again.

Do not buy from this company. Cant keep a schedule. The sod was the absolute worst. I bought Zoysia and it was filled with common Bermuda and Crabgrass not to mention several other weeds. Not to mention the thatch was so thick the Gras was probably 2 years old. Tried to contact the owner several times with no response... Do not purchase from this company...

The people there are sweet And a relaxed atmosphere. They have a large variety of plants shrubs and trees. Guarding Tools They got it all.

I Should have read the reviews before making the trek to the business. Aside from their questionable professionalism and service, the sod (both grass and turf) was garbage. I purchased a few pieces of Bahia to finish an incomplete project. I requested to look at it before I purchased. The grass was half dead from the sun. I purchased it anyways because it is Bahia. A little watering it will spring to life. I did just that. After 3 days of watering and to my surprise, the first sprouts to rear its ugly head were Nutsedge and creeping better weed. I was so upset so I called the store of course they did nothing about it. Although I am new to grass, for business it is their mistake to sale what is not Argentine Bahia (it was common) and not offer the best to its customers. What a waste of time and money.

Purchased 16 sheets of sod this afternoon from this location. I was told to pay for (before ever seeing it!!!) and drive around back to load it. I didn’t get out of my car since the ground was muddy but when I got home and looked at the grass - THE QUALITY IS AWFUL. It’s all dead already and after going through all the work we did to prepare our lawn, there is no way I’m ruining it by installing this sod. I am returning it tomorrow, DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SOD/TURF!!!!

Do not give Sod Express your business!!! They lie and will waste your time. I ordered a pallet a week in advance and paid for it. The day of pick up I called at 8AM to confirm my sod was in stock. Dee (the lady who took my order) asked to put me on hold to double check. When she returned to my call she told me yes we have it here ready for you. I informed her my father would be over at 10AM to pick it up. My father arrived at 9:45, and guess what?!?! They did not have my sod. I then called to see what the story was. I got Dee on the phone. She told me that she did not take my order, and she did not know who took my order. After some back and forth she hung up on me. Needless to say I had to drive there to get my card refunded. Not only was she rude to me again. She made no effort to retain my business. My father and I both took the day off work to lay sod. Dee told me it was not her fault, and that my problem was not hers. She did not even apologize for the lie she told me. The, “yes we have your sod here waiting” lie. Please do not give this place your business. They will scam you and waste your time.. I could not be more disappointed at the service I received at sod express.

Should be able to rate a zero or half star. This company and its ownership does not care at all about customer service or good business practices. Further, they do not take any responsibility for how they do business and mistreat and blame their employees and customers for mistakes in lack of leadership and process. Would not recommend.

I bought a pallet of sod from here about a month ago. After driving 30 minutes back home I started to unload it only to find that all the pieces were dried out and falling apart. Many of the pieces were not cut uniformly from the beginning and it was not stacked in the proper way for unloading. I bought a pallet from Millers Sod Sales before this one, so I know how the sod should have been laid and cut. I called 3 times to get a refund only to be told each time that the owner had to call me back but that never happened. They got a $100 dollars from for me to remove some dirt off their land. Big waste of time and money.

Really nice sod and nice new location

I received a pallet of sod last week. It was high quality sod and it was delivered early afternoon as promised. Some reviews on here are critical but i have no complaints with this company.

They quoted my elderly mother for 10 pallets of sod. When we went out and counted the delivery it was 8. Dennis was very confrontational when we questioned he final cost including a quote for 10 pallets he responded back “I have a better question, when are you going to pay me?”. At this point we have paid him what he asked for and now he has been more rude. He told us to go out to the yard and measure the sod after it had already been laid (seems sarcastic). When I called him again this morning to work it out he hung up on me and is now not taking calls.

Average nursery. Prices comparable to big box stores. Staff friendly and helpful.

Beautiful selection of annuals and perrinials. Buying sod pieces is great when you dont have that big of a yard.

Bought sod from them 4 weeks ago and the gentlemen that delivered it told us not to treat it with anything until after 4 weeks. After 2 weeks of it being down it started turning brown and thin. We got a company out here and they determined it has army and web worms and that we should have been told to treat the sod when we first noticed it. We just called Dave at Sod Express and he could care less. Never tried to make it right at all. Never buy sod from Sod Express!

Good prices and always come through on time. Sod always looks great. Their prices on tree work cant be beat.

I left my number for driver to call if he unclear on leave by the block...he forgot so here i am.a 61 yrold man havibg to move this out of the drive because thats where common sense told him to put it...right at the end of the drive...on the end you have to pull into...did they offer to move it?no

Horrible experience. Promised sod on a certain day and show up and its not available. Why reserve something for a customer if its not gonna be there. Horrible company and service. Taking my thousands of dollars per month elsewhere.
