Can’t stress enough how good the water tastes! I’m happy I called them to come and install a drinking water system. I thought it was gonna be expensive; but I was glad to hear they gave an option to rent out their system. The techs were very knowledgeable & the Office was friendly. I am really happy with the service & will continue to use Matilija. 👍

I looked up some of the systems you could just buy through Home Depot or Lowes, but I liked the idea of having someone local and buying from a small business that if I had additional questions, I could get a more personal experience. And overall, from some of the research I did, Matilija seemed like they had better quality equipment. It was more expensive than some of the others, but it seemed long-term and worth it. Their reps were very informative and they laid out several different options of systems we could go through. They really explained clearly what the routine maintenance is in terms of filters and salt. Then, when the techs came and installed the system, they were very thorough and cleaned up after themselves.

After talking to several of the soft water companies we decided to go with Matilija and it was one of the best decisions ever. Right from the beginning with scheduling an appointment Jenn was very helpful. The technician came to our house and was very informative in deciding various options. The prompt installation was performed by John who was super friendly and efficient. Within a couple hours we were enjoying soft water and filtered drinking water. Matilija is highly recommended.

We have owned a water softening system in our home for nearly 20 years. The unit finally died so it was time to replace. We did some shopping, looked at different options and decided to go with the folks at Pure Water Systems. So far, we are VERY happy!!!Our salesman, John was fantastic and went above and beyond!!! He explained the options and taking our situation into account we opted to rent, both the soft water exchange tank and the reverse osmosis unit. He even made arrangements with the company to have the old system disconnected and removed at no additional charge!Two different installers arrived on the day and time promised, one for the reverse osmosis and the other for the soft water unit. They were both professional, friendly and courteous. The reverse osmosis tank required a hole be drilled in our granite counter top. We were a little nervous but we can tell you that the installer knew what he was doing and was able to drill the hole and installed the RO tank without any issues! The software exchange tank was installed quickly and with professional care. The installer took his time to explain how the process of delivering the tank would occur.As promised, the replacement tank arrived on time and was replaced in a quick and efficient manner. If we had not been on our way to work we wouldnt have even known that they were here.We noticed an almost immediate difference in our soft water and we are enjoying the benefits again!We highly recommend this company!!

I called them, and they came to my home and tested my water the next day. Professional, friendly, and the product is fantastic. I live in Santa Barbara; I spent several hours researching for a good under-the-sink RO system. The water now tastes fantastic; dealing with the installer was a really positive experience.

Matilija installed Reverse Osmosis water filters and we absolutely love it! No more filling 3 gallon bottles at Whole Foods. The product is convenient, clean, and provides more RO water then we could possibly use in one day. The installation was simple, and the technicians were efficient and professional . Highly suggest looking into this if you like RO water, which you should.

I had them come out and install a new reverse osmosis system and also water softening this past week, and I couldn’t be happier. Daniel and his crew came out to my house the same day I called, got the system set up, answered all my questions, and they were gone so quickly it’s like they weren’t even there. Pure Water Systems cares about their customers which is so rare these days. I rarely give five stars but in this case it was warranted!!

I reported damage which got appallingly dismissed—adding insult to injury. An employee struggled to change our tank and then gave up. After he left, I noticed damage to the irrigation system and to a wall panel near the tank. Videos shows he maneuvered the tank and its cover located in a landscaped area for a half-hour. After reporting the problem, I got a call from the owner of the company and the employee. The employee claimed he didn’t cause any damage and implied it was my wife’s fault because he was helping her. It was weird to be pitted against an employee while the owner made himself judge and jury. The owner didn’t want pictures of the damage, dismissed my eye-witness account and claimed he “sided with his employee”. I was not asking for reparation but wanted the company to be careful in the future, so the owner considered the matter settled. No need to believe me, look at the facts, apologize or say thank you for reporting the problem. The videos show that the employee trampled the area where the damage occurred, that he was not helping my wife and that my wife didn’t step in the landscape. I am changing service provider. Flat out dismissing a documented customer complaint is deeply insulting and a deal-breaker for me.

Matilija technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the problems with my water and how a water softener would benefit me. Very competitively priced. I am glad I chose this company and would recommend them.

A little greedy in the billing office. They have a clever billing system that tries to collect 13 months rental for 12 months rent. Beware repairs and service calls, tend to make work.

Weve just installed a new RO system with Daniel Masse and his team. He is knowledgeable, professional and plays it straight. We reviewed four companies before making our decision. One wanted $500 to write a proposal. Another was offended we shopped around.People buy people, not just the product. Customers look for honesty, integrity, follow through and follow up. Its important that a company provide great service and support from proposal through installation.It doesnt stop there--perhaps the most critical element is ongoing service and support once the system is installed and running. Keeping your promises. Making sure what youve provided works flawlessly and without a glitch.Weve been very pleased with Matilijas products, people and support and would recommend them as your RO Specialists. Superb customer service, terms, price and everything. Carpinteria water is SO HARD. The soft water unit provided by Matilija is superb and what a difference in the quality of my wash, both clothing and general cleaning. No more spots and grime. Wheee.

Their water softening equipment never worked. I kept getting charged for salt deliveries and never once did they leave a bag of salt other than upon installation. Their technician, Carlos, confirmed 4 months later while removing the system, that my water was at a 40 grain level and the machine was in fact not working. Disappointing company, awful customer service. Beware!
