Once youβre seated the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves gently dance on your face like a dervish. This Santa Barbara on-beach eatery has an incredible FISH CATCH OF THE DAY delivered onto your dinner table straight from the ocean and configured into your daily ceviche and Baja tacos. Mine today was SNAPPER and my God it was it so fresh and so tastyβ¦so delicious. Good luck peeling me from my fortress of calm gastro-Cabo vibes. A decent place with a great view. I ordered a breakfast scramble and it was ok, though the portions are a bit small for the price. They plopped my one slice of toast on top of the eggs and cheese, making a mess. The potatoes were awesome, I believe they drop them into the deep fryer for an extra crispness.They are a bit pricey, but youre paying for the view. Service was friendly and the tables were well spaced.
The manager I apologize for not getting his name but despite my intoxicated dinning companion being rude he never lost his cool or soft polite tone! Complete professional and the food is amazing! I had salmon and it was moist flaky and nice slight crunch on outside from grillπππoh and they have seating on the sand! Kids love it!
Pretty good food for a restaurant on a public beach. Pretty views too since itβs right by the ocean. Came here with my family and we all left full since the portions are big. I got the spicy ahi and the first few bites were amazing but I wasnβt able to finish because the flavor is a bit too strong for me. They were able to make it non spicy though.
This is my first time eating here. Its right on the beach. You can actually send on the sand and have your lunch or dinner. I love the experience. I had the fish and chips and they were excellent. I would recommend this if youre a beach lover.
Great location right on the beach. Food was delicious. I had the fish and chips to go. The fish was very light and fresh. All the other food and drinks looked great as well. I would love to spend more time on their deck over looking the ocean next time Im in town.
Great location, right on the beach, but the coffee was luke warm and the food was just OK. There are definitely better places you could go in SB. Went for breakfast though, so maybe lunch would be better, for a quick bite to eat in the middle of a beach day
I threw up 20 min after eating here oh my gosh it was awful. shrimp and βfresh fishβ burrito was filled with what looked like contents that had been sitting in a bucket for weeks. the clam chowder was pastey and tasted like cotton. donβt even talk to me about the poke. iβd pay double our bill not to come here ever again.
Great views, youβre right on the beach. Take advantage of the quiet mornings if you can. Limited menu and the food was good, but average. Still worth checking out.
Yummy veggie burger and tacos. Great vegan accommodations and view. We also ordered the chips and guacamole which unfortunately was a little bland and white corn is my least favorite choice of chip. Quite expensive too. Nice staff. Overall, there is about a 7/10 chance I would recommend to a friend.

Nice unobstructed views of the ocean whether seated on the sand or in the glass enclosed patio. Good food and service with a smile. Had to wait a bit though to get our table.
He went over every aspect with the barista, who was an expert on coffee. He even assisted me when I purchased coffee packets to carry around. The team members were courteous and welcoming. That coffee exceeded my expectations. It was worth it to savor it. Well be back here again soon!
The place was very crowded during lunch time and there was a wait time of half an hour. We decided to try out some tacos and veggie burger from their take out menu, which turned out to be a good decision. There were plenty of chairs available towards the beach side of the restaurant. We sat on one of those and enjoyed the beach view. Overall, the place is reasonably priced for the portions.
Staff was excellent for my family visiting recently. Went above and beyond to seat us together and cater to certain food allergy concerns and more. They have food on the menu for just about everyone, kids included. If you are traveling around the Santa Barbara coastline, this is 100x better than a snack shack or pricey restaurant. Best bonus: You can dine outside right on the beach. Highly recommend.
A great place to hang out. Its right on the beach and if available you can put your toes in the sand while enjoying a tasty beverage. Staff is friendly. The place is fun. No reason NOT to go if youre in the area.
Great location, great view but the food....Eh... Had the breakfast burrito that had so much guacamole on it that was all i tasted and it wasnt even good guacamole unfortunately there should have been some egg and cheese and other things in it but couldnt find those ingredients due to guacamole.. Took two bites...

One of my favorite places in S. B. forbreakfast, lunch or dinner. Food and cocktails are great to enjoy especially outside where I can immerse my feet in the ocean sand and feel the pleasure of it.
Here you will get deck seating as well as beach front seating and both offer great views of the Pacific Ocean. Staff was super friendly and menu had some traditional American and Seafood flare all was very tasty. The view is ultimately what makes this place stand out from others in the area. Also there was some entertaining local wildlife. Love the sounds of the waves crashing in the distance. #beachview
Love this little spot right on the beach. They have options of eating inside, on their deck, or right on the beach with your toes in the sand. The menu is simple but delicious, and our server was very kind. Good food, good prices, and good service make this a great spot to grab a quick bite and watch the waves and the sunset while dining.
I just went here for happy hour, $2 off specialty drinks. The mai tai were pretty delicious, margaritas definitely weaker in terms of alcohol content. My friend ordered a burger that looked pretty good, a little over priced. Id say people come here more for the view and for the drinks, I got the spicy chicken tenders and felt like it was a kids meal. Definitely would like to explore the menu more but so far the drinks and beach view was amazing.
Nice place to catch a sea breeze on the sand or stay behind glass on the deck. Their sweet potato fries are good. Used to be a snack shack. Figure $20 per person for lunch without alcohol. Well be back.
Recently stopped in again to the Shoreline Beach Cafe when passing through Santa Barbara. Such a rarity to enjoy well prepared, well presented and tasty food, efficient friendly service and a table on the sand! The seafood soup was amazing and so much more filling that the usual steamed mussels or clams. Good selection of wines and canned craft beers. And a setting that truly cannot be beat! If youve never visited, I highly recommend you try Shoreline Beach Cafe next time you are in Santa Barbara.
I feel bamboozled. You definitely pay for the ocean view. I ordered the fish tacos tortilla was not warmed up completely, still a bit raw. And the sides came in small paper cups π almost $20 for 2 tacos that was too tacky. Service was great though
This gem is seriously a must! An adorable breakfast spot that allows you to have breakfast on the beach with your toes in the sand! What could be better?! Cute environment, friendly staff, fresh delicious food and the views are to die for! This was such a fun find and will definitely be coming back, I didnt want to leave.
The grilled ahi tuna tacos are so flavorful and tasty! Staff were very attentative and friendly. First time here and will definitely be returning.

Heading down to LA I did a quick stopover in St. Barbara and just checked Google-maps for a beach-Cafe near me. This is what turned up and it exactly met my expectations. Nothing fancy, but good and fresh produce, kind staff, excellent fish tacos! Its great for mixing with locals and tipping your toes in the sand, while watching the waves.
A good and interesting seafood restaurant that is, literally, on the beach. Indeed our table and chairs were on the sand. It was very lovely way to spend an afternoon brunch.
What a find!! We are from out of town and happened to pick this place. We couldnt have picked a better place! Food was great, the view is unbeatable, the prices are stellar, but the best part...the SERVICE was top notch! We arrived at 6:45 with 25 high school students and 6 chaperones. They didnt complain at all. They served us quickly and with a smile! Well done!!!
Great location on the sand. Food is good, not great, but very good. Its a bar on the beach basically. Staff is young but efficient and personable. Had a wonderful time!
The food was really good. Cant beat the view, they were in a hurry to close, but still made great ahh I, an yellowtail tacos. By the way if you like SPLASH cafe chowder... Look no further, they use splash cafe chowder as a base for their chowder. Splash is king but this place compares to splash when it comes to chowder. Go there just for chowder, youll be glad you did. For those of you whove never had splash cafe chowder go try some at shoreline cafe in santa Barbara.i guarantee their chowder there.
Im sorry to say this establishment was pretty disappointing. Youre definitely paying for the view. We paid $50 for what would have been $15 at in-n-out infinitely tastier. There just wasnt much flavor, and the burger was too char grilled and had a very burnt taste that overpowered any other flavor, and was also pretty dry. The staff were very friendly but made it seem like fries were included with a burger. When we ordered he asked us would you like fries, a side salad, or side of fruit so we said fries but turns out they are $5 and quite a small portion.

Cold beers, good seafood. I had the fresh catch tacos, they were excellant.
While many of the bones of this place (location, beach vs deck seating, etc.) seem good, our breakfast food itself was expensive & mediocre quality. The chilaquiles were dry with no salsa to be found (the accompanying potatoes were good though). The carne asada was incredibly stringy and inedible without shredding into small pieces, an unappetizing prospect for a $17 dish.
And the fish and chips with sweet potato fries, both were very good. Staff was friendly also.
Oldie but goodie only place I know where you can have your feet in the sand while having a mimosa.. Great location

This restaurant gave us a very nice dinner as we watched the sailboats go by. But most importantly they are so honest. Before dinner I went to the bathroom and unknowingly left my phone with money & credit cards in the bathroom. I didnβt realize it until an hour later when we were ready to go. Someone had turned it in and all was still there. What a miracle. Thank you.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Staff was welcoming & attentive. Fish tacos were good, the chowder had great flavor but was too thick in consistency for my liking. Prices were reasonable and the view was too notch. Would definitely stop again.

View is nice, probably better at night. Not a lunch spot for sure. $17 for a burger that the frozen patties are too thin, more bread and veggies than burger. Then $4 for a cup of ice and a splash of soda, smh. Service was nice, on-site Mgr needs more training. Not a spot to come back to or suggest. CLEMENTINES steak house in Carpinteria is AMAZING. Prices are set for the quality and quantity of food you receive, and service from all is family like. If youre in CARP go to CLEMENTINAS, you wont be sorry.
