I do not understand how you can justify charging 7.50 a scoop for ice cream that literally says thrifty on the side.

LOVE IT!! best ice cream and waffle cone I’ve had in a while. While they are more expensive than say a Baskin Robins, they far exceed their quality! I loved and and I recommend!!

Was really in the mood for ice cream, decided to go to this place.I was surprised by the super expensive ice cream prices, never seen them like this. But I was like, hey, lets try it out, perhaps it is good.Unfortunately it was not good ice cream and this was definitely not worth its price..

Good icecream however its thrifty so you can get it lots of places so with that said it was fairly over priced for not homemade icecream.

Prices are little touristy but we were tourists on the SB Pier so why not. Ice cream is pretty good and family had fun. Nice patio to watch ocean.

The ice cream is “so so” it’s nothing to rave about. The price is a little much for a single scoop of ice cream. The employees were generally nice for my visit. However, being on the Pier eating ice cream with my family was pretty nice.If you come from out of town, the ice cream is going to be overpriced. Santa Barbara is a touristy place be prepared to pay a premium.

We came to Santa Barbara to visit and stopped by the ice cream parlor. My partner and her brother wanted a fresh cone. The server was hesitant to give us a fresh one and asked her coworker. The coworker stated rudely, Sure, let her burn her hands. This is a horrible place to go to as they were rushing us to get out. Never again will we be purchasing their cheap ice cream. No good.

The service is terrible. These young girls serving the ice cream had so much attitude and clearly did not want to be working. The ice cream is pretty basic, but my chocolate chip cookie dough was freezer burned. Waffle cone was good and worth the dollar upgrade. You can sit by the water up by the shop, but it smells like gasoline so we walked back down to the beach. You can park on the wharf and there are public bathrooms, restaurants, and shops in addition to the ice cream.

The ice cream was good for a hot day. However, I dont why the owner of this place allow scam running. Beware, if you are over 50 yr old, minority or look like a foreigner. The Mexican server there will pull a scam right in front of you. I rode my bike with family, and we decided to stop by for some ice cream. Because of riding bike, I did not carry my wallet so I put only a few twenty dollar bills in my pocket. I pull out two twenty dollar bills and bought for $30.25 purchase of five ice cream cones. The server took my money and did not gave me my change back. She insisted that I only gave her $30.I told her that I gave her two twenty dollar bills, but she keep saying $30, but she refuse to open the cash register to check. I did not want to spoil my day with the family and left. Such a young girl already learn how to cheat.

Ice cream was okay, nothing special. Over priced and customer service was awful. I ordered from one lady and the other scooped it, then they both immediately started texting on their phones. It took me a minute to even realize my ice cream was scooped since she just set it on the counter and didn’t hand it to me. Very weird experience. Would not recommend.

Bad *Bad *Bad....I can not even believe that this place is in business. This is one of the biggest tourist places in Santa Barbara California, and when I walked in with my family today there was six young girls standing around staring at the customers dumbfounded that there were people wanting for ice cream. A gentleman had to ask them what are all you girls staring at? They were so unfriendly and unwilling to help the six people/2 families that were behind the four of us. Not to mention the extremely high prices for cheap ice cream. All of these girls should be fired or take a lesson in customer service. Where is the owner of this place? they need to be reevaluated as well. I cant even believe that this type of employment is here in Santa Barbara California and that we had this experience. What an awful awful place to go.

Agree with all of the negative reviews regarding the extremely poor quality and outrageous pricing . Nothing against the staff but the business should not be frequented in a town that offers Mc Connells. I rarely, if ever, write reviews but this place really aggravated me. The owner is ripping off visitors. I have lived here for three years and will not be back.

Disappointed that they serve Thrifty Ice Cream. I didnt notice until after I had paid. I can buy that at any water store back home for around $.50 a scoop. Instead I paid $13.00 for three scoops of cheap grainy ice cream. I wish I had checked the reviews first.
