Best in town for mufflers and catalytic converters. A man of few words, but expert at what he does.

After asking a handful of other shops in town for my E30 S54 swap exhaust, Jerry and his skills came with high praises. For a fully custom exhaust, I believe the setup he built for me is exactly what I asked for. He fixed a slight O2 fitment problem for me, added O2 bungs for my wideband setup and post-cat O2 bungs so that we are as Cali-compliant as I need to be. The exhaust fits quite well to the underbody, exhaust hangers are solid while looking stock, and he put a nice touch so that the sleeper look of the now gone stock exhaust would have had with the canted exhaust tips as was done on these cars.Jerry was quick, very pleasant to chit-chat with, and exceeded my expectations. Someone tried to steal my catalytic converter and he was able to weld me back up and weld some additional bars that wont be quite so easy to saw through now!

Overpriced for easy and basic work

Higgins Muffler is the best muffler shop in Santa Barbara if you would like a custom exhaust on your car theres nothing that he cant build for that car. When hes done with the exhaust its like a work of art absolutely beautiful and sounds incredible. Jerry put an exhaust system on my 1965 Ford Falcon with a 289 absolutely beautiful job and a complete exhaust on my 1971 Pontiac Firebird

Recommended by some of my fellow car enthusiasts as the place to go for exhaust work on vintage, custom, street rods, etc. They were right!Needed to have the exhaust on my 70 Camaro raised to accommodate a change in elevation in my driveway. Required a new transmission cross member for clearance to raise. Also had an exhaust leak that I could not locate. Jerry installed the new crossmember, raised the exhaust and fixed the exhaust leak with a better connection than original. Excellent workmanship AND at a reasonable price! Highly recommended!! Oh, and work was finished as promised!

Was fast and not expensive

I received the best service I have gotten in quite some time here. Was affordable and extremely quick. No appointment I was a walk in, however all I had to do was just leave the truck for a few hours and boom he had my new cat installed (fixed my botch job of a clamp). Welds looked professional and very clean. Biggest plus for me was the he actually spoke to me about my vehicle and checked the codes out after with me to ensure I was informed on where I was currently at, something almost every other shop fails to follow through with upon completing a auto service. He gets zero stars from me! He was supposed to put an exhaust on my car but he told me to go somewhere else because I bought the parts off the internet and not him. Like a little baby. Dont go to this guy he is immature and over prices everything. If he think you have money he will try to throw big number at you.

Getting my third full exhaust system done here, this place is the best. Theres no shop in town that can come close to Jerrys work, hes the real deal, his quality is head and shoulders above the rest.

An aquantance of mine told me about Higgins and told me to write a bad review. I told him I had nott been there. I spent some time reviewing the shop and it looked legit. I encountered some problems with my 4Runners exhaust and decided to give it a try knowing my friend had given it bad reviews (20 or more under fake names that he told me about). The owner Jerry fixed my problem and was amazingly accommodating. I am more than willing to vouch for this place especially after knowing the derogatory things he said without cause. If anyone has any questions please contact me. Good things come to good people and I disagree with my aquantance on this one. Jerry is great!

Need exhaust components go here. We werent able to find an exhaust clamp anywhere, but was able to get one here the next day!

Horrible customer service and he tried to quote me twice as much as the work was worth. After getting a second opinion Id never recommend Higgins.

At first i was unhappy i could not make an appointment, but it only took him an hour to put a new muffler on. great work!

We parked there to walk across the street in the morning before they were open but an employee was in the parking lot we told him wed be right back and he said OK. We were gone 5 minutes and we came back and that employee and the owner had broken into our car, dumped my friends purse on the seat and was going through her things. When they saw us they just took off into the shop. God only knows what theyll do to your car if you take it in for repairs

I went to higgins for an estimate and left feeling like i got my wallet stolen from me.

This guy sucks he has bad attitude and will jack up prices if he thinks you dont know anything
