I have a 2002 M3 coupe. Ive had an intermittent issue with the check engine light turning on. Before going to Master Automotive, Id taken my car to 2 BMW shops (not the dealer). They couldnt figure out the problem even with the error code. General area yes but the root cause no. I brought my car to Master Automotive and talked to Wade. Hes very straight forward. Turns out the Vanos oil line was clogged and the Vanos pressure regulator was bad. Both items were replaced and I never had the check engine light turn on again. Lesson learned. It seems there are shops that only handle easy jobs, oil change, tires, alignment, etc. Basically in/out jobs. They cannot or dont do well with more complicated work. Master Automotive handles both very well.

Wade is a different breed! Man took care of my situation same day even though he was booked up and the job had unseen complications! I had a great experience with Wade and Esma! I contacted Master Automotive when I was having some issues with my car after it was shipped to California. Wade told me to come right over and he was able to fix my car within a few hours. Wade went out of his way to text me updates about the car. Had a very good experience this shop. Went for repairs for a lease return. Car was in a bad state (ex. scratched bumper, doors) and had bad smell. After the work was done the smell was gone and the lease inspection charged nothing for the car.They were very professional and was even able to pick me up while my car was in repair.Highly recommend 10/10 experience!

Had the best experience with the owner (Wade) and his wife (Esma) I could have asked for. I brought my 2015 Audi A3 in for a suspected coolant leak and Wade was able to take a look within a couple hours to confirm and give me a quote. All the time while he had the car he either called or texted (with pictures) to give me updates and offered to provide a rental. With the pictures he also gave a clear description of what he was doing and why he needed to replace certain parts, and discussed with me to make sure I was aware with what he was planning to do. When I came in to see the car he again walked through what he had to do and why. Seems to have had a lot of experience with the Audi/Mercedes/BMW brands. When I came to the shop each time Esma was quick to check me in and give an update before Wade saw me and also gave the car a very thorough clean when it was done which is much appreciated. The level of hospitality and customer service cannot be overstated, there was a genuine care for me as a customer.Will definitely be going back here if I have to get my car checked out for any reason.

Great shop, great experience in repairing my Audi S6.I was able to call in on a Friday afternoon and have my rear brakes fixed by the end of the day for a very reasonable price. An honest and cost effective repair shop is hard to find for European luxury vehicles.

Weve been moving a lot in recent years and tried a few shops. I will definitely miss this shop if we ever move again. Wade was amazing and took the time to explain all the details and the progress with photos and video. I learned a thing or two about German cars. The price was way better than what I was paying at the dealership. Both wife and daughter have felt difference in their cars after theyve been serviced here. We have a Porsche a Mercedes Benz and an Audi in the family. My Mini Cooper’s battery died on me on Christmas eve. Called AAA for a replacement. After 3 long hours with them between locating and fetching the proper battery, to replacing it, the lad informs me that he doesn’t have the software to reset the computer/battery system. Next day I search around for a certified mini repair shop and land on Master Automotive. At the shop I was greeted by the shop owner and his wife, two very hospitable and welcoming people. The gentleman walked be through every step of resetting and identifying the new battery, checked the charge on it, and then decided to check my fluids and top them off. The latter were done free of charge! I implore you to go and check them out for repair services or anything from oil change to tyre replacement, to battery replacement; you will not be dissatisfied. I will be going there for any repair or regular maintenance my car needs.

This is a very nice clean shop. I took my BMW in for some maintenance and performance issues. Wade the owner who seems like a walking talking car encyclopedia explained everything to me very succinctly and didnt hesitate in answering any of my curious questions and explaining all the ins and outs of an engine management systems. I was a bit confused and a bit perplexed with all the information a lay person like me could digest but in all reality when I picked up the car everything Wade said was self explanatory in the way my BMW drove out like it never did before. I could feel the power and the motor hummed like it never did before since I aquired it years ago and thanks for the mini detail, looks like Im not the only one smiling but my BMW was smiling too!

Wade is a magician! My car has never felt so good. I drive a 2008 Audi TT which had all sorts of problems, engine shaking, noisy breaks and beyond. Wade was able to diagnose it and left it brand new. I have owned this car for 5 years and it never felt so good driving it. This is the best experience I’ve had when dealing with my car ever! Nick is extremely friendly and answers all your questions. The best of all is how they are very honest with you and treat you like a family. Whatever you need they have your back! I recently had issues with my car that made it undriveable. I had it towed to my BMW dealership that I purchased it from hoping that the repairs needed would be covered under my warranty, but unfortunately they were not. I was worried that the repairs would cost an arm and a leg, and if I went through my dealership it would have. I read reviews of local shops as I wanted to go with someone that specializes in BMWs and German cars, which led me to Master Automotive. I called and asked for a quote and received a call back with the estimate in about 20 minutes, and it was less than half the price the dealership was charging. I said I would like for them to do the repairs, so they held a spot for me to tow my car in the same day to drop it off. Waid and his employees are all extremely friendly and professional, and made me feel like my car was in good hands for the repairs. I got my car back in a couple of days and it sounded and ran great! Im extremely thankful to Waid and Master Automotive for helping me with my car. If I ever have any other hiccups, Ill definitely be back.

Had my alternator replaced on my Porsche Carrera recently. Wade and his staff did a marvelous job and they were very thorough and transparent with the quote and the whole repair process. Nick showed me my old alternator and explained to me what caused it to fail prematurely. They are close to San Jose airport where they dropped me off and the owner picked me up himself upon my return. I am very thrilled of the experience. It is definitely one of my best at a maintenance shop. I highly recommend Master Automotive for anyone with a German car in the bay area.

I have been taking my X5 there for 12 years and have truly never been disappointed with the quality and service from Wade the owner. The owner of Master Automotive seems to be intensely focused on taking care of his customers in an honest and more than fair way. As a result, I have been a very satisfied Master Automotive customer for years and recently I was reminded why. I had my daughters Toyota serviced at a large shop much closer to my home and it seemed like a good (convenient) place to also have my BMW 740iL repairs done as well. There was something going on with my brakes (the brake lining and brake fluid level warning codes were showing). The steering had a vibration when braking that I assumed was due to a warped rotor. The front rotors were replaced and the car was returned to me. The warning lights were still on and there was still some vibration. Took the car back and found that the front tie rod assembly was in need of replacement and they still didnt address the warning codes.Then I decided to return to Master Automotive to get the work done by someone I trusted. Well worth it! The mechanic not only installed the new tie-rod, but he found that the other shop had not properly installed the brake sensors and the brake fluid sensor was just stuck. Easy fix to both. He also found other little issues and took care of them.I wont bother with the big shop close to home any more. Master Automotive is my shop.

Master Automotive have been servicing my BMW and Mercedes Benz for about 8 years now. I get quick and friendly service all the time. They are always extremely friendly and welcoming. I work right around the corner, and for the Scheduled Service I drop off my car in the morning and usually have it done before lunch. The quality is top notch, and the price is remarkably reasonable and fair. A colleague of mine took his Porsche in and she was thrilled with their skill and ability. Wade is an amazing human being!I was at Thunderhill Raceway for a trackday, a few hours away from home, and my 2011 335i rear power window regulator broke without any warning with the window fully open on a weekend with no repair shops that were open close by. I must be the luckiest person in the world as I just happen to pit next to Wade and his wife, who just happened to be an owner of Master Automotive, a repair shop specializing in German motors, who just happened to be located about 10 min from my house in Santa Clara. Talk about serendipity!Without knowing who he was, I happen to mention in passing that I had to figure out a way to repair this window before driving back to Santa Clara. He told me who he was and his business and magnanimously offered to help me get it temporarily addressed and then fix it fully when we were back in town. So, he took time out of his track day to take apart the door panel and get the window closed and taped up. If you are a track day enthusiast, you know the last thing you want to do is work on your day out – we come to track day to get away from our daily grind. He was a life saver, and it could’ve ended right there, but he asked me to come by and get it fully repaired! I gave him my VIN number and he had the replacement part ordered.The next day, Monday, he tells me to drop by as the regulator had come in overnight. He then took his own time to fix my window, a guy who as an owner doesn’t directly work on cars often. And all I had to do was pay for the replacement part! A >$400 job that he charged me only $100! How generous! He did a great job and the window now works as good as new. I am very lucky and grateful to have met Wade, and thankful he was able to help me out of a jam so graciously. He looks to have a great shop and competent staff and I definitely will be bringing my car here for any repair/service job it requires.

My experience at Master automotive was excellent. Wade was very kind. Though my dealer gave me a long list of items to be replaced for my bmw 328 - Wades technicians figured out that most of them are not actually needed at this time - this actually gives a good sign of their skill set and that they value customer relationship seriously. Usually Im very hesitant about auto body repair places far away from home but after seeing the reviews here I decided to try. I called in yesterday to see if they had time to take a look at my car and they even had time that day. I ended up coming in today though because I had class yesterday, and needed my window repaired on my 2001 BMW 3 series. They were so nice and welcoming and were very honest and informative about fixing my window. It was also done within just a few hours too so I picked it up the same day which was fabulous! If you want quality, honest, and fast service, this is the place to go!

I have written exactly one review in my entire life because Im lazy but I believe truly amazing service deserves to be shared with others when its so other other-worldly. My experience with Master Automotive is one of those experiences.My car broke down in the middle of Great America Parkway at a light. So while sitting in my car watching other drivers fly by my vehicle, I googled local repair shops and was met by answering machine after answering machine. I was told to call Master Automotive by a friend and they were the only people to pick up the phone at 7pm. Because AAA told me theyd be there in an hour, Wade offered to stay as long as it took for them to come. True to his word, he was there waiting for me at 845 when I finally showed up.He listened to what happened and narrowed down the issue quickly. He told me they were jammed but he would work on it first thing in the morning because I had a friend coming in town that I needed to pick up at the airport and then drive to wine country. And then just to solidify being the greatest mechanic of all-time, he loaned me his wifes car so I could drive home and to work in the morning instead of paying for an expensive uber car or something. You cant even make this stuff up, and Im not.He called me the next day and the car was ready by 2pm. The charge was far less than anything I had ever walked out of the dealership with and he did a full diagnostic without telling me to fix 8 other things. I dont think its an understatement to say I was treated first class. Hopefully I wont be going there too often, but I feel great in knowing that I have these guys nearby.

When I went here years ago I felt they were a good service then as time went on they began to overcharge for things and then I realized I was getting ripped off. Its too bad because I trusted the owner David for a long time Im not sure what happened why he started overcharging people. Also the person who answers the phone in the office who I think is Davids wife is very unprofessional and very unhelpful. If you dont want to be overcharged and ripped off then I dont recommend going here

They charged me $1700 to fix an oil leak. after one month again same thing happened, when I took the car to them, they said ok, the first approach didnt work we need to work on that again and it will cost you about $3k to $4k this time which i took my car back, they never return my money back or fixed the issue. thats not how you can run a business.

I have been having my Audi A4s worked on by Waid and his mechanics for the last several years. His price is 60% or less of what dealers charge, I find his mechanical advice 3x as reliable, and his honest and straight-forward way of doing business makes any visit to his shop a pleasure for me as opposed to a stressful, untrusting interaction as you would normally expect to have with a mechanic shop.A couple of times while having my car worked on here, something came up during the job that was slightly different than what he had committed to. In all cases, he assumed responsibility for the change and didnt pass additional costs on to me and when the work was cheaper than expected, my bill reflected the actual costs.He is able to provide a loaner car so I can get around while my car is in the shop, and he has always delivered exactly what he promised. I have never had to take the car back to re-fix anything.Top notch unqualified recommendation from me!Follow up: Had my front brakes done. Mentioned a sound I heard. He was not able to easily reproduce it, but stayed on the task for a couple of hours and eventually located the problem and installed new parts to fix it, then told me he would not charge for it since he hadnt checked with me first. I insisted on at least paying for the parts, as that is what was the only fair thing to do. This guy is the genuine article and runs an outstanding shop. He has my automotive business for life.

I had a car emergency over the weekend and my BMW needed attention, it was raining and my window got stuck open and I needed help quick. A friend referred me to Master Automotive. This problem had been erratic and the dealer already looked at it and quoted me an x amount of money to fix but I was too busy, too lazy and kept on procrastinating, but this time it got stuck open and it won’t budge. To top it all it was raining hard outside and I needed to go on a trip that day.I called wade on a short notice and asked if possible to service it that afternoon, Wade diagnosed the problem over the phone, hurried to get the part before the dealer closed and kept his crew over time to accommodate me.I got to the shop Wade was incredibly kind, and he put his mechanic on it instantly. In addition, he was very personable and asked me how my day was, what I did for work, etc.--he treated me like a person and valued customer, and not just a number like so many businesses do.My car was repaired fast and I was back on the road in no time the price was incredibly fair and the mechanic was extremely helpful and friendly .

Weve taken our car to Waid a few times recently and it seems hes always gone the extra mile to reduce our repair bill, either by flat out not charging us for extra work, extra cost, or extra diagnosis time, or spending extra time taking apart something he could have just broken off and charged us more to replace extra parts.As the name of the company is Master Automotive he truly does seem to have a Masterful grasp of working on the ins and outs of the types of cars he typically services. From what hes told us from the experience side, hes been both a technician and a service-advisor for a German auto-dealership before, and hes ASE Master certified as well. He himself has said he specializes in difficult problems, and to us hes definitely demonstrated that, dealing with a number of tough car issues for us recently. For one of the issues he even fixed it free of charge, even after spending time and extra cost for diagnosis.Im very grateful for his time, expertise, and patience, and help hes given to us and our car as of late.

So of course my Porsche had more issues, after all it is 15 years old. Well it finally died, I think I took the phrase of driving the car until it dies too literal. My car overheated and I had it towed to Master Automotive of course. Waid at Master Automotive was his usual magnificent self and told me the truth, Its time to get a new car. I knew it was time, but it was still sad. The silver lining to this sad news, when Waid told me that they would inspect any used car I was interested in buying. Not only did he make that offer, he even recommended a few car suggestions as well of cars that have an exceptionally solid track record of being highly reliable and durable. Once again this place came through for me.As I go off in my adventure of looking for a new car, I feel a lot more secure and better about it knowing that the guys here can help me out and give me peace of mind by checking on a car that I am interested in. Let me tell ya, that peace of mind and knowing that I have a car repair shop that I can TRULY TRUST, which helps me sleep at night. I have personally recommended this place to every person I know whos warranty has already expired on their cars or for anyone who needs any work done. My 2016 Audi A6 3.0t needs its first 5k oil change, and all dealers are super booked and I certainly dont want to wait after holidays as need to have few long trips. So thanks to that I found this place. Very reason price for basic oil change but Wally and team took their time to inspect other things even this is still an almost brand new car. They dont have the waiting area so they dropped me to the Rivermark plaza and then picked me up. Superb service and I love hardworking honest auto service and they deserve 5 stars and more business than the often subpar service from the usually more expensive dealers (just in general it depends on your luck).

I gave these guys a shot because of the high reviews and ended up taking my car elsewhere...Why you ask?, first and foremost they charge for a diagnostic which is about about 2 hundred and some change, that being the 1st but not too much of a buggaboo. The main reason why I chose to take my car elsewhere is because the owner was so convincing when he said he is certain that it was a blown engine which was causing my car to overheat, which left me questioning his expertise, so with my better judgement I let him know that I would like a second opinion on such an expensive repair. So I towed it to another reputable repair shop..diagnostic was free, which was a plus, but the bonus of it all was that I was informed that all it was that was causing my car to overheat was a thermostat housing and hose. So my conclusion to this is I dont not recommend these thieves which call themselves master automotive. I saved myself thousands of dollars for a new engine taking it to someone else to only pay a few hundred dollars on repairs needed.

I have been taking my cars to Master Automotive since around 1997. I take my cars there because of the trust, and value I get by going there as opposed to the dealer. We have become a VW family, and Waid, always takes good care of me and my families cars. He and his mechanics are professional and I highly recommend them. If you have a German car, and want personal service at great value this is the place to go.

I have been taking my cars to Master Automotive for 5+ years. I had purchased an used Audi A4 and was advised at multiple places that I needed a new transmission. Waid came highly recommended by my colleagues, so I took my car to him and he figured out that the engine mounts were broken and it wasnt the transmission. I had an incredibly fantastic experience with Wade. I needed something fixed asap and he was able to squeeze me in. Sad to say Im leaving the Bay, but I highly recommend anyone with a German car to come here, truly one of a kind friendliness, sincerity, and experience.

I brought my Porsche 996 to Master Automotive to have the IMSB and RMS replaced at the same time I had the clutch replaced. They did an awesome job of walking me through the scope and cost of the work. When I dropped off the car for the work, they gave me a ride home! When I picked up the car - on exactly the same date they promised - I drove home a perfectly functioning car that had been freshly detailed. An excellent example of awesome customer service. Not only do I recommend them, I will use them the next time I need work done to my car.

I was driving back from school one day and my car suddenly broke down. I would later find out, that my axle had been broken. It was late in the evening and the dealer and most automotive repair shops had already closed down. This being the first time something like this happening to me, I was really nervous. I called my insurance company and they said they will cover, a two to any near by repair shop. I was in a bind. I called Master Automotive and explained my situation to Waid. Before I could even finish speaking, he noticed the distress in my voice and before I could finish he said Bring it in I will take care of it. Even though his store was closed by then he decided to help me out. He was really professional through-out the whole process and really knew his stuff. He would keep in constant contact with me through text, to keep me up to date on how my car is doing. He saw saw how nervous I was and spoke in a very calming manner so I dont panic. I would highly recommend him to anyone with a European car. Not only is an articulate and kind gentleman he is also very knowledgeable person. His prices are also very fair, he knew I was a college student so he gave me a really fair price. I called various other mechanics and confirmed that Waid gave me the most fair price. In my opinion the best mechanic in the area. 5 stars form me.

My Benz car had a very random overheating problem. Other car repair shops recommended costly replacement of the radiator and/or water pumps. When I finally brought my car to Master Automotive, Wade listened attentively to my description of the symptoms and within the hour his team identified the thermostat as the root cause. Needless to say that the repair cost here was negligent compared to the quotes I got elsewhere to replace the wrong and costly parts.My car has been running fine since. What can I say, Wade took care of me and my Mercedes! He went out of his way to add a service that was not in the work order that I requested. He saw my transmission fluid was dirty and felt he had to change it and he did not even charge me for it....WOW. How many shops will do that! He genuinely wants to help you rather than profiting from you. He is honest and he will tell you how it is without B.S. or pressure. His shop treats you like you are a V.I.P. You can go to other shops and you may argue about the $$ but I find it reasonable.... any shops could wrench but it is the service and honesty that we are all looking for in a shop.I know each person is different and has their own opinions, but I just want to share my experience to all.

Great, professional mechanic. I got a pre purchase inspection from them and am so glad that I did. They were very thorough, with the addition of a carfax report and a very professional attitude. Saved me from a horrid car that looked amazing to me.

They have great mechanics and know european cars from top to bottom. They handled my 2004 BMW X5 and treated it like it was their own. I had a top to bottom inspection with Derek and he pointed to all the problems in my car, whether if it was little or large ones and gave me an honest opinion throughout the process on if its an immediate concern. I went to other mechanics and they were unable to figure out what was going on with my car; Master Automotive however was able to diagnose the problems and explain it in a way that I would understand. They give fair prices, even for difficult jobs, they still quoted me on prices way below competitors and by far below the dealerships. They also managed to save my car, I had valve seal problems and it was belching smoke which wouldve failed smog. Luckily theyre local and the only ones that fix this problem in the bay area. They are very dedicated to their work and stayed late hours to finish up my car as fast as possible. Waid the owner, took the time to give me picture updates and also called me to give notice of costs and suggestions of what I should do next. He managed to make this experience as least stressful on myself and my wallet and I will forever be a customer of Master Automotive!

These guys are car doctors, seriously. Went to come in for a weird sound coming out from somewhere in the engine bay. They called me later saying that they they found a related issue regarding something much more severe and that must be addressed asap. Just like how a physician would recommend an operation to a patient, theyre recommendations are honest and willing to speak with you about your options. I had a chance to speak with their mechanic, Wally, and gave me a brief tour on what the main issue was and even showed me the damage it was causing to the vehicle. In the end, not only did they fix that weird buzzing noise, but also fixed the source of the problem.I would highly suggest that anyone who comes in would take Waids honest recommendation on what should be done with your vehicle. He genuinely cares about his clients safety and mainly, they take pride in their work. They keep in touch with you during and even after the whole process whether its through text or by an old-fashioned phone call and he speaks to you like hes known you for a long time -- very genuine and sincere man -- you cant find many mechanics like him anywhere.

2 years ago I had a traumatic accident when a mechanic forgot to tighten one of my wheels on my Mercedes SLK before driving off, top down and all. (Apparently it happens...) Luckily for me I didnt jump on the freeway...however I did lose the peace of mind and became quite hypersensitive about bringing my car for any service ever since.Last month, I needed a service C (and few other things) and decided to bring my car in to Wade (owner). Not only he felt bad about my experience, but he appreciated me sharing the story and brought in all his staff to hear me out. Wade took care of my car, gave me a great deal, plus loaner cars. I was about to purchase an Audi through a private sale and requested a pre-purchase inspection from the seller. I found Wades shop when looking for local car mechanics with Audi experience, called him up, and set up a time for the inspection. I changed the appointment time 4 more times due to conflicts with the seller, but Wade was very flexible and able to accommodate to our schedule. Wade was fair to both parties; he gave me first impressions from the exterior of the car and rough cost estimates for cosmetic repairs. He then gave it a test drive and his crew lifted the car to check out the mechanics. This uncovered all sorts of leaks, alignment issues, possible engine misfire, a large accident which the seller had tried to downplay to merely cosmetic, and possible structural damage. Repairs would have cost almost as much as the car itself! Thanks to Master Automotive, they saved me tons of potential headaches and from purchasing a car that would have been a sinkhole of money.

I called all the area BMW dealerships in the area on a Sunday after discovering that the drivers side window would not roll up on my girlfriends BMW. All of them were open but not there service department. Defeated, I called Master Automotive and spoke with Waid and he told me to just bring it in, he could help. I showed up twenty minutes early and discovered Waid wheeling around in the shop on a pair of rollerblades. I asked him if he just got back from lunch or a workout, he just simply told me no, he wear them all the time. He rolled out to the car and we worked together on getting the window rolled up so we could continue our road trip and thanked him profusely. He was even game for a very brief photo shoot, I told him I had to get a photo of him in front of his shop with the skates on.Great guy, and service with a smile. Still not convinced he is not on a hockey team, but thank you again Waid you made my day and believe me I didnt want to have to explain the window issue to my lady. Lifesaver.
