I am drawn to clearance sales on shoes like a moth to a flame.The thing I like the best about the regular Footwear Etc are the sales staff. They know feet and *exactly* which shoes will fit your feet. Ive never really put my feet into a pair of shoes that were bad for my feet in there.The day I showed up, it was final clearance and all shoes were on sale for about $45 bucks. There was a frenzy of women combing the aisles and trying on shoes.There was one overworked staffperson in the store who valiantly checked and double-checked shoes and fit before final (no returns) purchase. She was adamant about proper fit and refused to sell shoes that didnt fit properly. Kudos to the staffer!The store had quite the inventory for a clearance center. It was organized. The shelves were full. Selection ranged from dressy to practical. There were more than one pair of each shoe, so you had a chance of finding a fit. But I have narrow feet and a goodly number of the more interesting shoes were wide and just fell off my feet. I tried going down a size but the shoes I was after werent to be found.I suspect this is the kind of place you need to check weekly for new inventory.
