The one thing I liked about S&G is the fact that theyre honest and truthful. I made an appointment and their employees showed up on time and was polite. What I mean by polite is he didnt rush my husband and I to make his decision. He didnt tell us that we didnt want anything because it was too expensive; he had patience and I appreciate that. The other thing that was great was they worked with us because we needed to split or installs into two days. They worked it out so the same crew came out to my house both days. I guess the most important thing though is I love my carpet and my laminate floors. They look great, feels great, so happy to have new floors in my house.

I called S&G and others for a quote and Patti at S&G gave us the best price and product. We had Vancouver XL Series Kelvin Oak installed in the kitchen, living room, hall way and bath. The Vancouver XL Series is almost a quarter of an inch thick and has a 20 mil wear layer. They removed underlayment in the kitchen, part of the living room and the bathroom because of the different levels because of the vinyl that was on top of existing underlayment. They could have just left it and installed underlayment in the living room an hall way but that would have been one sixteenth higher if they would have filled in the living room and hallway with three eights ply wood so they installed underlayment throughout the same rooms mentioned and installed the vinyl flooring. Heimes and Geraldo did a great job installing the flooring. It was like they were installing it in there own home. All the people worked on and help us were great Pat, Craig, Janessa, Camilo, Heimes, Geraldo and all the rest of the people in the corporate in Sacramento. You will not go wrong with S&G for your flooring needs! We are very Happy with the outcome of this project!Thank You S&GMarty & Fatima

We have used S&G for many years. This time we are replacing the S&G carpet with COREtec vinyl flooring and installing it ourselves. S&G made ordering easy.

We just got our new home and needed to add in flooring. my wife and i went to S&G to get more information as well as idea of what kind of floor we want in the house. once we walked in we were greeted by Misael. Misael took the time to talk to us and show us the flooring option and the pro and cons of each floor. he was very knowledgeable on the products. Misael took the time to get to know us and or needs. he gave us time to look over flooring as well as answer any question we had of the items. In the end we were very happy with him that we order our flooring with in 2 days after getting quote from him. the flooring came out excellent and beautiful.

I had to replace my kitchen floor. Setting an appointment was quick and hassle free. Nattha was very friendly and super accommodating to my preferred appointment day and time. She scheduled someone to come out with samples capturing what I communicated to her over the telephone. The order arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and an installation date was set immediately. Everyone was wonderful from the person on the showroom floor to the estimator that came to my house to the installers to the people in the main office. Not to mention that I love my new floor. I highly recommend S&G Carpet. Prices seemed very reasonable too. All around a great experience.

Large selection at different price points. Unknown how their installers will complete jobs. About 30%higher than Lowes and Home Depot for installation, but the work could be different.Nafees was kind and generous with his time!

Bought a new townhouse nearby and reached out S&G to see any engineered hardwood option available due to lack of selections from the builder. Anthony is my sales representative and he is quite knowledge on the products. He was able to lock a discounted price for me more than half a year until the house was finally completed. The installation team is also quite professional, Kevin is very skilled. First day, preparation and removed all the tiles (tips for new construction home buyer, let the builder skip the tile otherwise you will need to pay to remove them), the remaining 3 days to complete the 860 sqrt flooring. The house looks fantastic with the new floor. More importantly, wife is happy, everyone is happy!

This company treated my wife very poorly. They make promises they cannot keep and blame their warehouse for problems instead of being proactive about helping you. We are literally trying to give them our money but they cant seem to give us our supplies. Finally we went to Conklin brothers and they not only did the job but for thousands of $dollars less.

I need carpet installed within twos days, first went to the big box stores sucked in with their free install, which was a complete mess. Went to S&G picked an in stock carpet ( the price was way lower than the home depot, plus did not charge me for an estimate) Carpet was installed with in three days! installers were professional and sales staff are so much knowledgeable!!!

Wow and what an amazing show room the staff were so friendly not pushy, and the install went so smooth. We will be back for our rental property very soon!!!

Some sales people are helpful and some aren’t. Installers were very good. We like our floor but are unhappy with some of manufacturer choices. Instead of a look of long planks there are small pieces scattered throughout. I really don’t understand this design decision. I don’t remember seeing this in the showroom display.

Very poor experience. Hard to negotiate the price. Long time to wait for the order(back order, part of order missing and delayed etc). Return policy is to charge 25% of the price even if the material has some issue.

If youre installing carpet, please be aware that they charge a lot of money for waste. In my case, it was about 30-40% of total squre footage. The waste charge was added to both material and installation. Please double check the actual square footage and see how much they are charging you for the waste. The sales person probably wont tell you how much theyre charging you for the waste neither...

We visited several other flooring stores in the area and we ended up buying from S&G. We are very happy we bought our new flooring from S&G. Everyone was extremely helpful and the installation was great.

This was an experience for the books. We started working with S&G in July of 2015 because of the no sales tax promotion. The front desk staff was very nice and knowledgeable. They sent out Ethan to give us and estimate on our floors. Ethan was fantastic! The best estimator we have ever had in our home. Because of some problems with my job, we could not narrow down a date. They worked with us for almost a year to get the date that works for us with no pressure. At one point in 2016, they said they would keep the no sales tax quote providing we use it soon. Job issues would not allow this to happen. Finally, we decided to have our floors installed on June 13th 2016. The sale person was Jill.Apparently, Jill is not knowledgeable about the products nor does she have the people skills or computer skills to work at this store. It took her almost an hour to bring up our old quote and she refused to ask for help. Her co-workers did offer several times to assist her but she refused. The second visit I brought my wife. Since Jill worked on our first quote, I could not get another sales person so we had to go with Jill if we wanted to keep our original quote. Big Mistake!! Jill made a few promises that were untrue.Jill told us on May 27th she would call the warehouse on May 30th to put a hold on our material and secured the date of June 13th and mentioned this project would only take three days to complete. We had to remind her several times that May 30th was Memorial Day. She finally got it after the third time and said May 31st. When we got back from our vacation on June 4th, she told us our product has not been ordered and June 13th was not reserved because we needed to put down a deposit. We were so upset that other employees jumped in to help her and calm us down. She did not mention this the first or second time we saw her but mentioned again this project would only take three day. It was later changed to 5-6 days. Oh it gets better!The fourth time we visited Jill to put down a deposit, it only took her 45 minutes to bring up our old quote and create a new one. Another blonde sales employee noticed my wife was limping and needed a chair. Right on queue.. She suggested my wife need Gastric Bypass surgery to help with her legs. REALLY!!!Javier, Juan and Rueben were the best contractors we have every worked with. Javier treated our home as if it was his. So much care and precision. The creativity and skill he used on our crawl space hatch was perfection. 5 Stars. Before Javier got started on June 13th, he asked me if we had the baseboards and the step material. We said no?!?Oh it gets better with Jill. Javier placed an order for the steps and told us it should be in by Friday June 17th. It never showed up. Jill called and told us the step material came in on June 17th, but it was damaged and she had to reorder it. Javier confirmed it never showed up. More lies from Jill.Mike from customer service said he will have Javier back out on July 14th to finished the job. When the floors were completed, our pocket doors would not close. Mike from customer service called one of his contractors to come out and fix the doors for us. Hallmark and Son knows their stuff and the yelp reviews are correct about his knowledge. He came to our house in flip flops, shorts and an old tee shirt. Not what we were expecting, but he got the job done.We spoke to the store Manager Mike and he did compensate us but the compensation was insulting. Considering the lack of training, insult to my wife, delays and lack of communication it should have been doubled. That would have been fair.This project that was supposed to take 5-6 business days, took over a month. All this could have been avoided if Jill was not on this project. Poor, poor, poor is the only way I can explain their customer service. You actually have to call them constantly to find out if your order is in. If using S&G use there Almaden store, they actually follow through on what they say
