I’ve watched and paid for several different Filemaker training video services over the past five years, and each has some good elements. But the FMtraining.tv site is a fantastic resource with the latest tips and techniques. I especially appreciate that Richard Carlton and Nick Hunter are putting new and energetic emphasis on design considerations such as lean design principles and UI layout. While Richard can get a bit goofy at times, he is sincere in wanting people to learn and to understand. Thanks to all the RCC folks for putting the time and resources into the training. I’m an entrepreneur trying to solve business problems but enjoy the challenge of developing solutions when I have time to do so as a citizen developer. I hire pros when I need to go beyond my capability set, but the Filemaker platform keeps getting stronger and better connected with other services every year. Ongoing training is essential to getting the most out of what’s possible.

I learn so much from the videos. Just wished I would have know I could have gotten FM19 thru you with videos to take my learning further. Once my FM19 expires I will do just that.

We have been working with Todd Dignan for several years now and will never use anyone else. He is a very talented person who takes the time to understand the big picture of what we are trying to accomplish with our database needs. This can be rare to find, as he walks us through his process when needed to ensure we are making the right choices. He is dedicated, hard working and definitely someone you want to in all situations, especially crisis ones. We have just recently started working with Jacob Taylor to maintain our server portion. Just as with Todd, Jacob has been beyond a pleasure to work with. He is very responsive and gets you answers and results quickly. Jacob has a way of making you feel that he is on top of things ensuring our plans keep moving forward.

I am intermediate FM developper and I found their daily presentation quite educational and instructive. Example: they spend about 1 hour on Script Debugger, and if I had known what they showed, it would have me saved a lot of time on my last project. Highly recommended.

One of the most prolific free training content creators in the Filemaker arena. Their live sessions cover a wide range of topics for a wide range of expertises. And once you are ready to step-it up, they have the paid for courses to get you there. Even with years of experience, I can always find a little ooh! nugget in any of their sessions.

I have very limited time to work in our environment with FileMaker, and no time dedicated to training so I have to do so on the fly. The RECORDED Rcc training gives me a chance to catch what I missed and helps me see it live instead of read to interpret. Very worthwhile- I spent my personal funds to joins his annual training and it’s worth it to me as well as these sessions

The online videos for FileMaker UI tips with Nick Hunter and Richard Carlton are amazing. Also incredible free sample apps that look like native apps to that focus on UI, not just database structure.

I started using FileMaker with ver 15 Pro - looking at it - it was like looking at a plan from a rocket scientist ! Absolutely no idea ? Got onto you tube and saw there what could actually be dome with this FileMaker, but YouTube is not really the best, good but not the best !I searched the internet about learning and came across a lot of places in which to learn it - But being retired, some places were asking a fortune for a course - UNTIL - I stumbled on FMSP and Richard Carlton Consultants - Had a good look at his offers and decided to take one of them - which included all videos made and a copy of the latest FileMaker - What a turn for the books that was -So after a few weeks of watching the videos, not all just parts for the start, I started the videos at the beginning and working through them - Oh it was hard but the videos were very well done indeed, most well 98% of the videos were of Hollywood Niveau and very easy to understand - Then it was off to Udemy to see what Richard had there -His weekly videos are still coming in, even today, specially now with FileMaker 19 -I would highly recommend buy this option from RCC (Richard Carlton Consultants) if you wish to learn FileMaker -I have since done my own FileMaker App, purely for me and 100% private, and needed a calendar inserted but again I had no idea, FMSP has a calendar installed but I wanted to use a cal in my own FM App - so off again to RCC and asked about a course on a cal app for my FileMaker - I couldnt really find a suitable course by RCC but wrote him an email asking for a 3 hour course instead of the normal 5 hours - He was very polite and offered me straight up a 3 hours course with one of his engineers, which a took him up on the offer - It was difficult at first because of the time difference but RCC worked that one out without any hitches on my my side - I did the course in 2.5 hours and the rest of the 3 hours was taken up in discussing other stuff - RCC team was very very helpful indeed and everything went from A to Z without any hitches or connection problems - It is a long, long way form where I live to RCC and with about an 8 hour time difference BUT the RCC engineer sorted that out with no problems at all -So, after all this going back to 2015/16, I have never looked back and await the weekly videos like we used to wait for Christmas !AND THE BEST OF ALL - getting FileMaker at the price RCC asks for, with all the videos (all up to date) is like a big shopping Mal sale -FileMaker, were I live will cost me 4 times as much as what I get from RCC and Clarisa delivers FM but without the videos -To all people young, old, older if you want a bargain go to RCC home page and read what he has on offer - YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT AT ALL - and another thing every email will be answered by RCC and at times from Richard himself -The videos are - like I said, very well done and highly professional, Although at times very very funny indeed - I dont know how the American humour works but Richard is a very humorous person and I really do believe his personnel has always a good day at the office .I suggest the following :-1.Get FMSP from RCC - completely FREE TO USE, with no stops in it2.Get the videos is a must get3.HELP is also there if needed4.Sorry but others are out of my payment league5.VERY, VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY6.You even get cheap rates for one on one teaching over the internet7.Last but not least a great big THANK YOU to RCC and his team for all the help I have rescieved in the last few years -Firstly though, I am no developer, I use FM for my own use, I have learned more than enough in the last few years, Thanks to RCC -and if you do forget something when using FM - you have the videos as a library to look at again, again and again -All I can say is GET IT by RCCGreat Team Great Helpers and great people -Cheers RCC Team for all the help I gotDavid

Ive been following Richard Carltons training programs for FileMaker since 2014. The content has been a great mix of basic, intermediate and advanced topics with thorough explanations together with great illustrations. I have been developing fairly complex solutions thoroughly based on Richards training videos (screenshot attached). I also follow the daily training on fmTV - I find it informative and contributes to additional knowledge about the FileMaker platform. Thank you Richard!

I have learn immensely from the live training and videos from RCC. I especially find the Nick Hunter training most rewarding. Both he and Rick Carlton are very knowledgeable and appear to enjoy sharing their talents. Hats off to RCC for forwarding the filemaker platform in a professional format.

I recently watched a 3-day live presentation by RCC Consultings FileMaker Live Training on Speeding the search in FileMaker presented by RCC Consulting. Richard, and Nick are awesome! Their Live Training is a must see! The live demontration, explainations, and tips to improve searching were easy to understand and extremely informative. I have learned so much about the functionality of FM from RCCs Live Training on Twitch. I will continue to watch their live training and look forward to implementing many of the features and functionality they discuss into my databases.
