Woefully bad workmanship and standards of quality.I came here at Geicos recommendation to repair a front bumper. Fix Auto initially put out a quote to repair the bumper, and I checked with Toyota and found the price of a new bumper was less than the cost of labor they were quoting to repair the original bumper (before cost of paint on either). I requested that they revisit the quote and they agreed that a new bumper should be installed, and I approved that repair. A few days later, I got a call from them saying the car would be ready for pickup, but that they had instead fixed the original bumper, a repair I had not authorized. I insisted that they perform the repair that I originally authorized, and install a new bumper on the car. They said they would, and a few days later I came to pick the car up.On pickup I asked to see the original (repaired) bumper that they had wanted to leave on the car and found that the lower mounting holes on the bumper were cracked through to the edge. If this is the level of quality they think is acceptable, then thats enough of a reason to not come to Fix Auto Santa Cruz.On inspection of the new bumper that had been painted and installed, I found that the turn indicators that are mounted to the front bumper are now very wobbly and the fittings around the indicators are not even seated correctly. Furthermore, I found that there were numerous particles embedded in the surface of the paint (see pictures). This level of repair is completely unacceptable, and while they do warranty their work, this should never had been let out the door. Ill be going through Geico so that I can get this shoddy repair fixed at a different body shop.

I got into an accident 700 miles away from home and Fix Auto was who my insurance company used to repair my car. While they had my car for a month, I called three time to speak to the owner regarding my car and he NEVER replied. Kristin and Walter, whom I did speak with, were great and apologized for my treatment. But when it came time to take my deductible, you can believe the office called then (still no owner). The work of the shop was amazing, HOWEVER, when a customer calls 1, 2 and 3 times, YOU CALL BACK. Even if the answer from the owner was Im sorry we cannot help you, you still, as a business owner, respond and address the customers concern. I have been in business for over 25 years and NEVER have I ignored a customer and especially one who was spending $12k with me. If I were you, Id use another location (there is one in San Jose) just in case you need management because you wont speak to anyone but they will take your money.

Fix-Auto Santa Cruz did a fine job on our Tesla wing mirror and door panel repair. They were always courteous, helpful, and specific about timing. Tesla did us no favor by shipping the wrong side mirror cover and then taking two weeks to make it right. But F-A SC was great. Would recommend.

They did a great job of keeping me up-to-date and were very accomodating. The finished product not only comes with a lifetime warranty while you own the vehicle but they also did a spectacular job. No signs of previous damage to be found. I would recommend them to anyone that needs auto body work done.

Great service and experience. Everyone was so nice and courteous. Getting in an accident is already a pain in the butt but they made it so easy. I get intimidated by body shops but everyone here was so kind. I never felt like I was getting the run around. They did a great job on my car and I highly recommend them to everyone.

These guys were incredible. Someone smashed into my cars mirror and they suggested that I buy a new one online and then they put it on for me and also made a minor repair to my fender. They didnt even charge to replace the mirror and and did the work fast and well. Lovely waiting area with coffee and snacks as well.

Car finish looks pretty good. I have a big pet peeve if you can tell it was painted. They did an excellent job and you couldnt tell. Service was also good.They also washed my car and vacuumed the inside. It looked a whole lot better especially since I havent washed my car in some time. What they didnt do well is clean the windows. After I left there was a haze on the window.I also noticed some over spray on my black framing so I will have to go back and have them clean it off. Overall they did an excellent job redoing the car, they just need to spend a few more minutes on inspection before returning the key. I would go back.

I honestly called them because they were about the only shop open on a Saturday. And boy did I get lucky! Tony did a great job on my daughters car and charged a very fair price, and much less than I expected I would have to pay. There are many auto body shops in Santa Cruz and I now think they are closed on Saturdays because they make so much money during the week. I dont write many reviews, but Tony and his crew earned this one

Aggressive owner and manager. I feel bad for the staff and anyone including myself that takes their vehicle there. Missing screws and a lop sided car had me spend nearly one month without my car and 5 entire days arguing back and forth to get the job done.. again.. at a dealer because they dont have a multimeter to check the battery. Nor the decency or professionalism to replace a battery after a front end collision even with white juice dissolving the plastic undercarriage.

A very honest hand shake first day I stopped by. A solid handshake after service was completed.

My father is a mechanic and highly recommended Tony, so when our work truck was hit by a deer I decided to bring it by for a quote. Tony saved us over $1,250 off of our previous estimate and performed the work in 3 days less time - and the truck looks as good as new!!!!!! I would absolutely recommend coming here before wasting unnecessary time and money anywhere else.
