Zero stars. Stopped in for new wiper blades as I was traveling through. Employee offered to install for me, but was told by her manager to ask for help from another employee. She refused to get help and broke my windshield. No acknowledgement or apology whatsoever. She should have accepted the help as she clearly didnt know what she was doing. I could have done it myself, but again, she offered. Spoke to the manager on duty who told me to return the next to speak to the store manager. I told her I couldnt as I was traveling. Called and spoke to the manager when I returned home and was told the only way they could help at all was by driving 3.5 hours back to show my receipt even though the other manager took down all my info and took photos of my broken windshield. Its 2021; email exists. Called the district manager and cant get a callback. Any type of acknowledgement for their mistake at all would be nice. Adding to my review 3 months later - I have yet to receive any type of acknowledgement or compensation for the $500 I had to spend on a new windshield. I was told they were mailing me a refund of what I spent on the wiper blades and they straight lied. I havent received anything.

So I went in and I bought a lightning charger for my iPhone and on the shelf I saw a charger lightning cable for five dollars on sale clearance sale picked up the item I took it to the counter and I paid for it not realizing that they actually charge me $27.30 for it hey charger cable. I made mention to the cashier about the five dollars sale price tag and they didn’t honor it they Told me I can return it if I don’t like the price and they weren’t willing to work with me window they had falsely advertise their price I was just amazed

Staff is borderline incompitant. They really dont understand much about automotive anything. The prices on just about everything instock are insulting. That being said, I have spent ove r 3k there last year alone.

One of the better auto part store in the area, but dont expect a phone when your order shows up to this store. They simply dont care to call customers.

I had purchased a Duralast Platinum battery with 3 year warranty. It died at 2 yr 11 months. I walked in with old battery, they replaced it instantly, no questions. They were polite, efficient, no run-around. I will be a repeat customer with AutoZone Santa Cruz. Thank you!

First day of vacation and my husbands rear window hinge broke on his Escape. He called this location and they were able to have the part shipped to the store next day. Of course we had no tools on us so they allowed him to borrow all the tools he needed to fix it on the spot. Super helpful and we really appreciated their help and back on the road safe and secure in no time. Thank you.

I lost a hubcap and asked one of the employees to please help me. He stepped outside, looked at my car, picked out the correct size and installed all four hubcaps.I drove home feeling very proud of myself (even though I didnt do anything).

I am a regular. Most of the time I get what Im looking for. But today before I drove over I stopped at Kmart and saw a similar item at a lower price. I asked Tony about matching the price. She asked the manager and oh surprise! They matched the price. Kudos to both Tony and Juan. Never disappointed at Auto zone. Get in the Zone!

Pretty standard AutoZone. Nothing in particular stood out. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Needed a 1 and 7/16 inch socket. A trip to the local big box hardware stores yielded nothing as they only stocked sizes up to 1 and 1/4 inches. A quick stop by AutoZone and I was the proud owner of a 3/4 drive socket and the 3/4 to 1/2 adapter needed to use it with my 1/2 ratchet.

Ruben, an employee at the water Street location, helped me out so much! He went above and beyond to help me fix my brakes and when I asked what I could do he just said to have a Merry Christmas and that he was glad I was safe. Very cool guy and super helpful service. Recommend this place all the way!

I always go to AutoZone for every car Ive had to replace simple things myself: head lights, tail lights, windshield wipers, etc. Staff are helpful, will look up car make & model to advise you quickly. They always ask if I need help to install things and remind me of easy returns. I would give every AutoZone Ive shopped in California, Oregon & Washington states a 5 and this place 6 stars if I could.

Excellent service! Check-engine light came on, so I decided to go to a reputable mechanic. They said it would cost $100 just for diagnosis (I have a Merz). Came to this AutoZone, withing two minutes they scanned the code and gave me a diagnosis - loose fuel cap! Gosh, I dont even imagine paying $100 for that. BTW, this was a free service that they do!

Tried to buy a new battery for my car. Got my car looked at it for a few minutes and they couldnt do it because it looks too complicated. Took it to firestone and they changed the battery in 20 minutes no problem. The woman who helped was nice but not very helpful

This auto zone is huge and most definitely had everything you could need. The worker was very friendly to me and helped me quickly. I typically am paranoid to come into shops like this because all too often car guys in parts stores and mechanic shops are so rude. Great experience.

I bought antifreeze which I poured myself and the clerk came outside to check on me, which I thought was a good sentiment only to demand a tip. For checking on me. No shame, he literally said wheres my tip and it was dead serious not a joke...I said no, thank you. Had you done mechanical work sure but not today.

My oil light came on as I was passing through Santa Cruz with 200 miles left in my road trip. Since it was after 6 p.m. on a Sunday, I didn’t have too many options. Lucky for me, Juan Vidales was around to save the day. He changed my oil on the spot while teaching me how to do it myself. Juan is just an all around solid human and was able to make changing oil in a parking lot in the dark after 6 hrs on the road an enjoyable experience. We can all stand to be a little more like Mr. Juan Vidales.

The guy behind the counter may have been lacking enthusiasm but after seeing the customer base in the parking lot, I could see how the job could be challenging.He got me a replacement Battery without drama, asked me if I needed the customary extra parts and got me out the door in less than 10 minutes.Four stars for that!

Alternator on my truck went out, they were the closest place and they had one left in stock. Went in and picked it up but the girl at the counter was unpleasant but got me the part in the end. Prefer the guys at Orileys but inna pinch they will do.

As someone who put up with a clunker of a car during college, this AutoZone was a godsend. A knowledgeable and friendly staff that is much more concerned with helping you with your problems than trying to squeeze cash out of you. Ive gotten everything here from new car batteries to the plastic screws that hold your license plate in place and have always walked away happy. The staff will even test and charge your car batteries if youre having electrical problems.

Excellent customer service and the staff is super helpful. The staff can pretty much answer any question you have, and they even help install very simple things like windshield wipers. I highly recommend this place, this autozone has yet to fail me.

Gone are the days of competent auto parts stores... twice this location has flat out not ordered the parts I ordered, only to find out the next day.

I have ordered the same part 3 times with different employees to find no record of it even being ordered when I inquire where and why the part doesnt show.The 2 shorter woman that work there are beyond incompetent and dont even know what hoses are used for (or so 1 of them claimed when I asked for some). I had to go behind the counter and show her where they were and how to f-ing cut it.Given the second time I showed up there were multiple people waiting at the locked door during business hours with the sign showing open while both woman were in plain sight leaning against the counter and chatting I would simply guess they are worthless employees.In all fairness the few guys there were quite friendly and seemed helpful to the other customers who needed it. So maybe this is a fluke, but at this point it has screwed my week.

Asked if there was anybody to help put on windshield wipers and they said not right now!No customer service!Told me to go down to OReilly.
