Honest Friendly service. I was lucky enough to come early and they started work on my truck right away. Excellent service. Fixed my issues and started a service plan for my old Toyota. I recommend any and all car service here first.

Honest people. He spent time and found it to be a computer problem and needed to go to the dealer. Most places charge just to look at it but not here.

They were very timely and reasonably priced. They said it would take 30 minutes to change my oil and it took exactly that. Would go back.

My husbands very old pick up had a start up problem, which they thought they resolved, but did not, so they want to continue researching it on Monday. But, they also discovered 3 very urgent problems not noticed by another mechanic and fixed those within the day. You do not get much better service than that. They have always been extremely nice and helpful.

When I put the call out for an honest, decently priced and awesome mechanic in Santa Cruz, Mark Chandler was referred to me by people from different communities. Mark is all that and then some. He is honestly a good guy, and has never taken advantage. Ive taken my car to him a couple times with mystery issues, dropped it off, and been charged nothing but the bare minimum each time - a great perk when youre a student. Bottom line, he is a great mechanic, especially if you know nothing about cars and have a limited funds.

Ive been going to Chandler for at least a year now. They are the most loyal auto repair shop I have ever been to. I have been searching for a good mechanic for the past 3 years (being new to the area) and have gone to too many unreliable places where I have been ripped off or has been a huge waist of time. I trust them completely. They really get to know your vehicle and help you understand what is going on. Will stick with them as long as I am in the Santa Cruz area.

Ive been going to Chandler Automotive for almost 20 years. Ive also sent at least a dozen friends who are now customers of his. Mark is the best! Quite possibly the most sincere and genuine mechanic Ive ever met. He does great work for reasonable prices and quick turnaround.

Mark Chandler is honest and reliable. He offers tips and gives you the truth of whats going on with your car. He also suggests services based on last convos. I mentioned to Mark that I was planning to buy a new car when I dropped off my current car to get a window fixed. When I came back to pick up my car, Mark remembered and told me some tips on what to look for and that he does pre but inspections!I thought it was nice, it showed me that he actually listened and respected me.

When has a car repair place ever refused to charge you? Having never had work done at Chandlers, I brought my 2000 Honda CRV in because it developed an awful squeak in the front end after 215,000 miles. Mark, the owner said it was not dangerous and honestly probably not worth the expense of beginning to fix the various things that might be causing the squeak (worn bushings, etc) -- lots of rust under the car as its from the Midwest. Instead on Christmas Eve, they lubed it all up and would not charge us!! What? He thought it would only temporally fix the problem as once it rained, the squeak would be back. Well so far so good. We made it to LA and back and through all the rain here and still no squeak still here at the end of January. Thank you Mark! Totally nice, honest fellow.

For three years I lived with an odd problem whereby if I drove for less than 15 minutes, my car wouldnt start for a full hour. (Then it would start again just fine.) Each time I took the car in for minor repairs or an oil change, Id mention this to the mechanic but no one showed an interest in even investigating. (Not an engine problem was the most that I heard).Mike changed my oil and also took the time to look up the cars schematics. Neutral safety switch he said. He showed me how to work around the bad part. The cost? $40.Thanks Mike for taking the extra time to go above and beyond!
