There was a Leak in my water hose and it was fixed quickly. I was very happy with a gentleman named Mike who has helped me twice now he has been very friendly and professional and I will definitely go back should I need future repairs

Ive been going to SA since i moved here 11 years ago. They have done major engine work and routine maintenance. They are ALWAYS professional, competent and courteous. They take great care of my wife’s car too and I always feel like I received great value. SA is a gem!

Great local place and a good value as compared to the Mini dealership in Santa Clara. They offered shuttle post drop off, and even washed and cleaned my interior. No need to go over the hill.

Team is great! They work together yet assist 1:1 to ensure each customer is taken care of even when it gets crazy busy. All around service is pretty efficient. Worth a call knowing how knowledgeable they are with all types of cars! I would trust them with more than just basic maintenance.

New to Specialized, needed an oil change and general check up. Everything was fine, and they caught that I needed new wiper blades. It was all done in a timely manner, and they washed my embarrassingly dirty truck.Thats some old school service. Ive found my new mechanic.

Been taking our Mini here for several years now and we swear by their work. Friendly staff always give us straightforward estimates and advice without trying to upsell or pressure us into purchases we dont need. Theyre out of our way now that we no longer live in Santa Cruz but we still make the drive to ensure our car gets the service it deserves.

I just bought a used X5 and I wanted to change most of the fluids. My service advisor Michael did a great job on preparing my quote for services. The shop was ready to receive my car, did all the work requested, and the car was ready on time with a wash. I would recommend them for German vehicles they are knowledgeable and have BMW trained technicians.

Well its interesting and I will get to the point. I brought my VW Jetta in for an oil change in March 2021. Because of COVID-19 I did not drive the car much in April or May. Last weekend (June 12th) I opened the hood to check the oil and the engine cover was missing! Specialized Auto had my engine cover sitting in the corner of their shop for 3 months.NOW dont you think that management would realize after 2 months or better two weeks that this thing Its big like 20x20 inches belonged to some customers car and searched the recently services VW diesels to see who it belongs to?I called there yesterday and Paul said yes its here!So if you, after reading this still trust your car to Specialized Auto shame on you for what happens

Outstanding service. Service rep explained everything, including cost. They not only fixed the vehicle, they wash it before returning it. Service reps were more than helpful. Highly recommend this business.

In addition to needing general maintenance and brake replacement, my battery was draining for some reason and although it took some time for the team to diagnose they worked diligently to correct the issue which was a computer module. They were not able to complete the repair by the time I needed the car and without me asking they offered me a loaner car at no charge for as long as I needed. I really appreciated that at a time I felt in a bind. I highly recommend this business for any make of car that they service!

Best Auto service around… been coming here for 11 years… multiple vehicles, multiple makes. Excellent service with very reasonable prices…. Never had any problems after repairs / service. Best service I ever experienced from any shop… even MBZ dealerships don’t match the customer service!

We had money hidden in our bus and while they were working on the bus it fell out of the hidding spot. They informed us of this and returned the cash. Very honest employees and professional. They also went the extra mile with the work that they done at no extra cost.

I pulled into Santa Cruz in My ‘06 Dodge Sprinter that had a couple of issues. A friend who has been in the auto business for 25 years recommended Specialty. I called them on a Monday and worked me in that day.They were professional, attentive to detail and friendly. My Sprinter is fixed and now it’s time to hit the road again. When I’m back in Santa Cruz they will be the shop working on my van!Call them today.

They were professional, on-time and washed my car afterwards. The car has never looked better. This is the 2nd car they have serviced and I have been happy both times.

I take any opportunity I can to let Specialized Auto work on my car. In my experience, mechanics look for ways to nickel and dime you. The first time I took my car into Specialized Auto was to have them evaluate a car I was selling. I went back to have them look at my new car and was gearing up for the usual oh, well uh, we found X, Y, & Z wrong with your car and you need to fix it today and its going to cost you $1800.00 type of response that you get from mechanics. They said my car looks great, and that they anticipate the breaks will be needing service in by my 3rd oil change. They also said they noticed a couple lights were out, and they went ahead and replaced them free of charge. They also went ahead and rotated my tires for me and changed my air filter free of charge. They did a full synthetic oil change for under $70.00. They won me over that day because its clear that they are looking out for you. This is the only mechanic which I leave a a tip for their services because it is so much more inexpensive. I never miss an opportunity to let them take a look at my car, let me know if theres an issue, let me know if they see anything on the horizon that require attention. 5/5 best mechanic out here.

Terrible business practices…Aaron who is the owner son will tell the customers that their wasting his time they have…. No invoice, no contract signed they’re charging for repairs that are three times the amount of the vehicle and making an 80-year-old man feel degraded and embarrassed for asking question

Two times weve come here and two times they cant figure out whats wrong with our car. They charge extremely high prices to say Well we dont know whats wrong with your car. Thatll be $700 please

I would normally give Specialized 5 stars. Have been a customer for 10+ years. In the last couple years the ability to rely on them to actually take care of my car has been lost. The last two services has left me looking for another mechanic. I find that the service tech Paul is always to busy to actually get to anything on my car, or confirming the services were actually done. My last basic mileage service was delivered back to me early, and I was told he didnt have time to get to the oil leak so ill just have to come back another time to get it taken care of. Additionally, the sensor was never reset so I drive around with my check engine light on..makes me wonder if it was even serviced at all.If you have special filters in your car, or things that should be noted that they should be aware of to service your car correctly, be prepared to remind them every time you get your car serviced. I cannot rely on the fact they they have my entire service record of my car, yet I have to tell them and know the entire history to ensure my car is handled properly. Disappointed. I keep giving them another chance, but am unfortunately met with disappointment.

Left my Honda Civic overnight on a Sunday to get the starter replaced. They called me in the morning to confirm that I wanted them to find out what was wrong and informed me of the initial cost. Once they identified that the problem was the starter, they called me again to check on which replacement part I wanted to purchase, informing me of the price. They had it done by 4pm Monday and I picked it up shortly after. Polite and professional service, and good work.

What a great shop. Originally called for a quote for a water pump replacement and Larry went above and beyond to find out if there was an extended warranty, which there was, saving me tons of money. Very respectful. It was getting close to new tires so went ahead and had them install which was all on time and picked it up washed and ready to go! Highly recommend.

As usual I was impressed by the good quality of work, the explanations, the flexibility, the timeliness, the free car wash, the free Uber shuttle service.I was told the oil change would take an hour. I said I would wait. When I got there. They found other things to check in the car. I agreed. It would take 2.5 hours. I asked if they could Uber me to the Surf City Sandwich restaurant, I love their avocados in my sandwich. They said yes. I went there and had my delicious sandwich in the sun and breeze. Then they ubered me back, and my car was was done, and washed, and ready. Lovely experience!

I always get first class service from personnel at the front desk. They make sure the car service I request is carried out and completed on time, and discuss with me any additional services recommended by mechanics.

These guys tried the old okie-doke and replace a crank case setup after 2yrs and 4500mi: supposed to be good for Nearly 10yrs or 50,000mi. I will say that Aaron the manager did make it right and did another $1000 of work free

Service is second to none. The Santa Cruz and Watsonville locations have friendly staff. I appreciate their commitment to getting my cars turned around quickly. If something unknown is discovered, they contact you quickly to discuss. If they can fix it quickly, youll still get your car that day. If they need additional time, its done the next day. They also give you a choice if its something that can wait 5k miles, so you can work it in with your next service. Auto repairs can be stressful, however, Specialized makes you feel that everything is okay. Thanks to the Specialized Team for making my visits a wonderful experience!
