For being a small store they have a lot of options the workers are nice and the meat department was helpful as well. Support those small businesses. Especially if youre down the street. Also their sweet bread is awesome as well!!
Bad customer service. Cashier has limited customer service awareness. Shes rude and needs training.
Love the varieties of product here. Parking lot is also huge!
American, Mexican & some Asian grocery. Good fresh meat section. Good prices
A wonderful market full of neighbors. This is what a Mercado/Bodega ought to be. Friendly staff, good Mexican and Latin products, a real butcher counter, fresh veggies and an array of food selections. Bravo, gracias, and abrazos to the hometown frontline staff!
The owner of the store is not very polite, also the cashier is so rude. The other My mother took my special needs daughter and dog to this store, but pets are not allowed, so my Daughter stayed outside with my dog, my dog started barking and my daughter felt frustrated because the owner and the cashier started to yell at her, so she panicked and was trying to control the dog. They sent me the police, which first of all is invasion of privacy, because they knew my address. Second of all my daughter was very traumatized, she cried all day and told everyone in my family that a big guy( the owner) and a woman( the cashier) were yelling at her to control the dog, which you can imagine is traumatizing of itself, the next day the police came and tried to take the dog away form my daughter, so you can imagine the trauma that my poor daughter had to suffer.I do not recommend you guys going to this store, because they have lack of service and empathy.
Its basically a mom and pop Style Corner Market which is very Mexican oriented and has all the stuff you need for Mexican cooking. I like it a lot because you can get pan Dulce and other Mexican products that are harder to find in the chain supermarkets.
The place has good variety of groceries
I seem to get awesome deals on my favorite types of meat whenever I go there to shop along with sundry other types of items like Chinese 5 spice. I should have bought more 😂😂😂😂they are out and I am almost out
Love the bloody Mary marinated skirt steak.
Good meat here. Dont use a debit or credit card here use cash. My wife used a debit card here and shortly after she received a phone accusing her of spreading rumors regarding someone testing positive for covid19, repeatedly harassing her on her cell phone leaving voice-mails and multiple text messages from there work place number.
Live Oak Super is a strange place but if you look hard enough youll find what youre looking for
I just like the store cuz it has good stuff for a really good price.
Friendly serviceGreat variety
Over priced. Dirty. Not a pleasant shopping experience. Its too dark inside and staff is not friendly. Its hard to find anything inside. There is an unpleasant smell that knocks you down as soon as you enter the store. I dont shop here at all but stopped by to check on a particular Mexican product on my way home. Never again!
The store is in disarrayits dirty it smells and the meat department oh my God the fish look like its been there for 2 weeks the eyes on the fish are all caved in and nothing looks fresh dont think Ill be back.. Im sure I wont be back sad too because I just moved into the area and Id like to go to a store close to home..
Great local market and carniceria.
I love the fact that they still have butchers who cut, and serve fresh meat, poultry, and fish to the customers!
OK. Good butcher, produce, even a decent wine section. Honestly the place feels a little poorly lit and has a couple of aisles Ive never seen anyone shopping on. But who cares, I often find myself looking for unusual things so I am glad those things, whatever they are, are on those isles. Also, they could but a bit better at stocking taco seasoning. But they have cheap, usually ripe avocados, short lines, and is cheap and otherwise well stocked for a neighborhood market.
It is a very friendly neighborhood supermarket and has a great Meat Market
Good n nice store.
Should have ten stars
Friendly service everytime
Cute shop, tons of selection, fresh meats and produce, and reasonable prices on everything. Especially love their meats here!
Great meat selection also in general BETTER THAN HALF THE SAFE WAYS in Santa Cruz.
Good meat dept.
This is a great old neighborhood market with their own butchers and a good selection for a small market. Great employees and customer service. Lots of good Mexican food too.
Love this market.Been shopping here for 25+ yrs.So convenient and the people that work here are nice & friendly.
Great meat prices and veggies overall. Everything else is a bit high, but friendly staff, local, comfortable
Great steak prices!
Beautiful Christmas trees all sizes and reasonably priced. Fresh produce and meat market. Friendly family business spreading good cheer!
Find everything needed for your your recipes.Fresh produce and meats!
Friendly and helpful they have a butcher with excellent meats.
Over priced Big time, im sorry its the truth
The place in Santa Cruz to get Mexican popsicles I love them there was have a lot in stock and the staff are really friendly
Very cute, has various products. The aisles are neat and organized.
Old school local market that serves the neighborhood. Throw back to the early 70s, thats why I like it. Dont expect it to be a Safeway or Whole Foods.
Great prices for favorite cuts of meat.
Specialty Mexican market with a deli, a small produce aisle, tons of specialty seasonings and spices, beer/wine, as well as some basic household materials. Selection isnt huge but staff are helpful if you need to find something. They also frequently have seasonal offerings (pumpkins, x-mas trees, flowers, etc) and piñatas as well as BBQ supplies.
One of the best stores would recommend I love the Salvodrian products also they are really cheap and there is one really nice employee he is mostly by the fruits and vegetables
Old school Live Oak area Market -Nothing fancy, but you will find fresh produce and just about everything else you may be looking for. They have a meat section and some fresh, tasty chicharón!
Fairly typical Mercado with a larger selection. Expensive if you want to buy American brand-names, but their meat-market is excellent for both price and quality. I cant really speak to how Live Oak compare to other Mercados but theyre meat is the best deal around. Shhh :-)
They have everything from produce to groceries we love it
It might just be the best local butchered meat. The selection is wide, The price can not be beat. You could not get it cheaper, even off the street. The dried peppers they sell definitely deliver the heat.
Good selection of Mexican canned goods and chiles. Good variety of quesos also. Overall appearance is pretty rundown.
Cheap essentials with emphasis on Mexican style food
Nice little local market. great folks working there but could use a bigger selection of items.
Great meat dept if you need meat for an occasional meal JUST TRY NOT TO EAT MEAT AND HELP THE ANOLIMALSCAND PLANET
Many isles were empty when I came in, but I like the hard to find items and the most counter. This is definitely a good local shop to go to, I have to imagine when I came in that the isles were empty by mistake so I will check again and change review accordingly
This store offers good meat pieces but the staff could do a better job!! One of the butchers handled meat and cheese without wearing gloves! The cross contamination was disgusting, and when I mentioned it to the guy, he went totally denied it!
This place is over priced.. And if you want to pay with your credit card you have to spend 10$ no less or the put add 1$ on the price is what ever your over paying for any way. 12$ for a pack of cigarettes and I saw the lady offer the money twice. Find a different store they suck.
Found my favorite chips here.
Excellent butcher & rare tropical fruits
Nice market great butcher shop
MEAT MARKET IS GREAT BESIDES THE SERVICE .
This is a larger sized latin style grocery Mercado thingy which even if it has a bit of faded glory about it still contains some awesome. First its got a solid produce section. The vegetables are of excellent quality and typical are cheaper then other area groceries which should remain nameless but are safeway. They have bulk dried chiles, bulk beans and of course bulk rice. When I say bulk I mean you bag it out of giant bin and pay by the pound. While they also have the typical dry goods, beer cooler, coffee and enough kitchen items to equip a restaurant, the real claim to fame is the meat counter. This is a full service butcher carniceria. This means in addition to get you meat custom cut they have meat, fresh chicharron, carnitas, and pre seasoned taco meats all of which are really really good.
The be meat is as good as shoppers corners and cheaper too!
Kind of a typical Latino grocery store, but find the house made kimchi, so very good.
Went there since I was a little kid, great store with local feel! I only had one bad incident as a teenager there where maggots in the bulk bins, so I am always weirry of the bins thats why the minus of a star, otherwise a great little store!
Went to pick up money i needed badly at their western union location. They do not have a western union. The western union sign is up outside. The info send/receive station is even in the front of the store. But nope.
Okay meat
Terrible customer service. The place is dirty and overpriced and has poor selection.
Taco Works chips are absolutely the best
Great employees and great selection
A good neighborhood place to shop
Low rating because its small but other then that its a nice corner market with friendly employees. Good meat selection too.
There ok.... more American food would be nice
Great Mexican fare, carniceria, fish market, good customer service. Local establishment!
Kinda funky but a good kind of funky
Awesome Staff!
I love the meat counter here.
I love old stores like this.
I love Live Oak Super Market ❤️
Good
Lots of good fruit there
Dirty, hot, and cramped. The stuff in the coolers were closer to room temperature than cold. Music blasting so loud it hurt my ears when I walked by the speakers.
Slightly expensive but has what you need. They Oaxaca cheese!
Very cheap, local, great selection, fresh meat.
Like the meat market, and friendliness.
Overpriced,dirty,rude staff dark and smelly.
LOS has been my neighborhood market for 10 years come June. Has most things I need. I asked them to bring in a product . It took a month but they did start carrying it via my request. Now that is service
Tortillas, beer, carne asada. Period.
Great chorizo
Ive been coming here for years. Whenever I have a party or grill get-together, I can always count on their marinated skirt-steaks to please my people!
A little pricey but not bad for a neighborhood supermarket
The have alot of items for a small store
The meat was really good
Nice and friendly place.
Very dirty store. Has expired products.
Nice store
Love there meat department
Fresh meat and sea food
Polite staff,quite helpful
Dusty food, old produce, and rude staff! My review still stands.
Disappointed they didnt have what I was looking for, but the employees were welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks, and Ill be back.
Best butcher in Santa Cruz
Its ok small market.
Groceries when toy need them, some are expensive though.
