This guy was recommended to me by another subcontractor I use for drilling and tapping work.After my experience with Roberts we both will be telling everyone we know do NOT use this guy.First. He tried to charge me almost double the estimated price after he finished the work. I agreed to pay about 25% extra just to get my parts after he was going to hold them ransom. Second. I gave specific instructions that the thru hole limit was .507 and that he should hone to .50065 max. so as not to O.S. the parts. The I.D. was rough and required a 63 Ra. I got the parts back and 15 of 75 pcs were O.S. to a .507 pin gauge. HOW DO YOU O.S. HONING A PART? Then he tried to claim they were O.S. before he got them, but I had docs from government inspection that they were 100% checked and were found in conformance. The material was 13-8mo and had already been heat treated, O.D. ground and fluorescent penetrant inspected prior to him receiving the parts. He charged $350 and cost me $400 in scrap parts. NEVER USE THIS GUY! ! !
