Beautiful public course at a very reasonable price. Interesting layout. Lush fairways and greens but they hadn’t been mowed in awhile and the front nine especially was challenging. The fairways were more like the rough and the rough was long. Greens were slow. Good bunkers. I really enjoyed my round and hope they can mow on a better schedule.
Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe is a very nice good, fun golf course. Excellent design, great setting, helpful staff. Like most municipal courses, this facility needs more agronomy staff. When fully staffed, this is one of the best courses in New Mexico. I certainly look forward to playing here whenever I can. You should too!
Played here on Sunday October 17, 2021. Was given a 2:10 pm tee time. Got there early but was told we could not start earlier than our tee time. The official course playing time is 4 hours 15 minutes. Was NOT informed that golf carts had to be returned by 6:00 pm. They should not be reserving tee times later than all 18 holes can be played or at least they should inform patrons in advance.
This is one of the nicest tracks you are going to find. The conditions were nice, although the fairways were a bit shaggy. I highly recommend this course.
I play here a lot. But last time I went and accidentally left my sand wedge. While I was playing I found someone else’s club and brought it to them. Yet my club wasn’t even turned into the pro shop. And the older guy that works in the pro shop was just overall kind of rude. It seemed as if he didn’t like younger people playing at the course as every time I’ve had to deal with him he has been this way.
Customer service is great! Course was in awesome shape!
Marty is a really nice course. Fun and challenging. Has beautiful views mountains.
Nice course. Kept in good shape. Be aware though, no water on the course.
Easy quick golf, on the Great28, 9 holes about an hour and a half with cart
This is probably the hardest review Ive ever written. This course is literally my favorite course in the whole world. Beautiful setting. Big views. I love the layout. Its surrounded by wide open space. Its not pretentious at all. The prices are super reasonable. The pro is a class act and a great guy. I LOVE THIS COURSE!!!The hard part: They have a staff member there, Leonard I believe, that is unbelievably rude. He will try to get you off of the course early so that he can go home early. Multiple times he asked me and other people I know to quit our round after 9, in perfect weather with hours of daylight left, because of weather conditions. He is condescending and clearly either hates his job or hates interacting with other human beings. I loath every time I have to interact with him. I know multiple people have had issue with him and I dont understand why they keep him around, or havent at least found a role for him where he isnt interacting with the public. Also the par 3 course is in VERY rough shape. One of the bunkers is literally just a pile of dirt and old scraps of sod and such. They dont even try to maintain it, its more of a junk pile.
Weather was perfect . Was sad to see course in such bad shape wish city of santa fe would take better care
Beautiful course. Played on a Saturday and pace of play was slow, we waited on the group in front of us on every hole.
First time I played this course and I will definitely be back
Nice place and friendly staff
Bartender Candice Cordial and Amazing great drinks !!!
A great layout with beautiful views, Marty Sanchez Links offers tees for all caliber of golfers. The staff is extremely friendly, the course is well maintained, and there is a fabulous nine hole, par 3 (with one par four) course that shouldnt be missed. I look forward to coming back soon. Driving range available.
Beautiful course, but not handicapped friendly. Lots of hills to walk down to greens and even handicapped arentallowed to park close. Employee gave incorrect information about green fees.
Love this course. Greens were good. Fairways good. Good food in the snack bar!
Loved Marty, great for all ages.
Great course. Beautiful views. Play my best golf there.
Ive been playing there for 2 seasons now and I dont anybody else to know how great of course this is and what a top-notch and friendly organization they are. True SF Crown Jewel !
Love this challenging golf course. Worth the drive. Can be busy and slow at times but thats ok. Lots of great views and the golf course will keep your attention.
Very fast and efficient service! The employees are very nice and professional. Great business! Also, the cafe is very delicious
Great place
Wonderful staff, rolling terrain, Interesting layout. The traps are not great but vastly improved.
It is not uncommon for me to drive the one hour and ten minutes from Albuquerque to this crafty municipal golf course. The Wednesday skins game is a regular local feature of the main course.A great learning course is the up and down Great 28., which favors the developing, young golfer. Most par threes are pegged at 125 yards or lessThe Grill is simple with two large screen TVs and a great selection of beers, but superb and friendly service. The Pro Shop has great off season deals on hard to find clubs including Titliest wedges, handsome left handed junior sets, as well as high tech wind gear for the high elevation weather fronts. The greens are well maintained for a high elevation course. The golf ball really flies here.Easily the most accessible group of Pro’s in New Mexico.A Cosmopolitan Santa Fe Course with a kindly neighborhood feel.
Love playing here!
Course is beautiful... they should however let you know before you pay that they just air’ed and over sanded the greens. I left after 2 holes. I don’t care to pay full rate for subpar conditions. I would have went somewhere else...
We went for the food and it was great. Their Breakfast burritos are delicious. BTW they make their red chile from the pods and you can taste the difference. Going to go back and try the Bloddy Mary and Margaritas.
Great course, clean areas around fairways, can always find your ball, plus Alo, Lorenzo and Joseph are great golf pros always willing to help.
Excellent course, well maintained! Challenging but fun layout with beautiful scenery. I play this course once or twice a week, and have played since it opened.
There is no better group of people to deal with, Ross Nettles and his crew are excellent. I have had many tournaments there and they have never failed to show us a great time and great service. if it had 10 stars i would give them that.
Nice golf course with reasonable prices. Terrain is very beautiful high desert. Course is well maintained.
Awesome place for golf and that they let the santa Fe striders our local running club host our annual winter corrida de Los locos cross country run. Helpful staff and great facilities for golfing too. So beautiful! thanks
Beautiful views while you golf, friendly staff!
Greens too shaggy
What a great place to play golf. Friendly staff. Only had time to play 9 holes but will go back to play 18.
Very nice course. Bunkers need much work!
Great local course with local rates. This is the course i grew up playing at. I enjoy it and especially like the great 28.
Well kept course. Not the easiest to get to
Love this course. Hope to play it again soon with some friends.
This place is a RIP-off! No warning on aireation days before getting out there, who does that? Then tells me I can play the front 9 only, charges me full price without even telling me those greens are freshly aireated (yesterday)! Haha yikes BOOOOOOOI cant always chip in for birdie haha On top of that they sent me out there full price and were rude when I asked about some kind of aireated greens rain check. Kid working, Joseph I believe, didnt even warn about freshly aireted greens to the next set of unknowing golfers. Sad :(Also to top it off. Terrible customer services as we waited over 30 mins for a simple burrito and quesadilla to start the day.Called the Pro. Lets see if I get a call back.Dont usually write bad reviews but THE EXPERIENCE AT THIS COURSE IS COMPLETE RUBISH!!
A fun place to golf for people of all skill.level
Great course in excellent shape. Wonderful staff, love Marty Sanchez Golf!
Terrible. Showed up after an hour and a half drive with out of town guests to be told our tee time had been canceled. It had been made a week prior but when we arrived we were told there was a tournament and our tee time was canceled. This was our second visit to the course and probably the last
Well maintained and challenging. Not expensive.
Great place to be as everyone is so friendly they make you feel at home
Ok golf course, but the rental clubs are some of the worst Ive used...
Awesome place! Green grass is quite the find in the desert.
Great course, super staff. Love the experience.
9 hole. Easy to maneuver for this neophyte golfer.
First time playing this course, was a nice change, good layout.
Love this placeThe pro shop is stocked and the scenic arena is 1 to die for
Fun little course.
Great price, good course could use some rain.
Excellent cost value, beautiful setting, fun course.
Alo and Lorenzo are the BEST
