Lied to since the beginning, the sales man the owner, they sold me a used gun said it was new and charged the new Price, the owner bill said the gun is used hed take the gun back in extange for another gun so I went back the next day and talked to the manager that was a straight puck, after they sold me a used gun for the new price, Ill take my money else where me n everyone I know, they even admitted they sell used guns passed off as new guns.

Today I worked with Lee while purchasing my new handgun. The process was fast and hassle free. I spoke to a few of the other employees and they were all very knowledgeable and friendly. Lee demonstrated phenomenal customer service. He showed me everything I needed to know about the firearm before I left. Big thumbs up to The Outdoorsman of Santa Fe and Lee!

Ive bought half of my guns here many years ago. That being said I took my girlfriend down here to get her first gun. She bought a revolver and a derringer. The derringer quit within 50-60 rounds we went back to the store to have them send it out for warranty, came back today a week later well it hadnt been sent out. It was still sitting on the managers desk.. We thought well money is already invested so lets just get something else manager pawns us off on a quite arrogant kid. Had we known it was going to take another background and more time we would have gotten our money back and left. We had a friend waiting in the hall the entire time so it was not a leisure visit. We literally spent $1000.00 + dollars with you within the past few weeks. Not saying that means we deserve to be catered to but the arrogant kid definitely doesnt deserve a job in any kind of customer service, I know I did it for a decade and never have I treated anyone that bad. Rolling eyes hohum attitude we had an actual reason to be annoyed we had been sold a lemon! And trying to give the benefit of the doubt tried to actually continue being a patron of the store!!!! Pathetic customer service from management on down. Go somewhere else to buy your guns, obviously I will.

It was a wierd day as they were about to close due the virus order. The store is in a mall unfortunately. They have rifles, shotguns, handguns, antique guns, used long guns. Some were quite affordable. This was my third visit to this store. Neither time was i really greeted or welcomed nicely. These guys are busy, short with words and dont appear to have time to educate. But in a town with too few gun stores, you have to go check them out. I think you can call them still and make an appointment to go in somehow. And they have custom orders as well. I hope when they reopen via the mall entrance, its well stocked and dusted, that would be fun to see.

This is a great store. It has some real human beings working there who are respectable, knowledgeable, patient, and down to earth. They answered all my questions perfectly and took plenty of time to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Ive already bought 3 firearms from them and I will continue to do so! Helpful but very little selection of guns people are looking for and even fewer amount of ammo people are looking for. One good thing they had was a great selection of Western style .22s available for under $150. Great to learn how to shoot and gun safety, inexpensively. Gunna go back and get me a couple.

Would not recommend this gun store. They make false promises. Albuquerque has tremendously better gun stores.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE & OVERLY PRICED!!!I ordered a firearm and was sent an email stating my firearm was delivered, I came into town to pick it up and was told that it takes them 3 days for them to open delivered packages and they will call me when they get to it. Background check had already been processed and cleared. I would of been better of sticking with ABQ Guns, I wanted to give the outdoors man a try. NEVER AGAIN!! BUYER BEWARE!!

Wait until New Mexico fully reopens before going there. Called the night before to let them know I was coming in. Drove two hours to pick up special order guns, that had been in storage for two months. Waited 35 minutes to be allowed into the store due to reduced occupancy. Waited 30 more minutes to be helped, since the two employees were busy with other customers. Ten minutes into my transaction, the background check comes back delayed (not their fault), but wasted a great deal of time, today, to return home seven hours later, empty handed. As long as they have reduced occupancy, expect long waits to get in, or to be helped once you do get in.

This is a well organized shop with a super knowledgeable staff. My family has been coming here for many years. They always answer questions with professionalism and grace, and believe me over the years I have asked some silly ones. I cannot recommend them enough. I recently had to call regarding a very complicated situation and they walked me through it with with lots of patience. I felt 100X better knowing they were on my side and there to help. Support local stores!!! This is a great family run business and dont worry theyll help you if youre an outdoorswoman too.

A little hard to find hidden in de vargas center but the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They do transfers, ship firearms and had some items in stock that we havent seen online in awhile.

This is the only gun store left in Santa Fe. They will let you trade in many firearms or put them on consignment for you and they carry a grear variety of old and modern firearms. The staff is genuinely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wares on sale here. Also, there is a modest assortment of archery gear and assorted hunting and survival items. You should check it out, there are some awesome specimens on display at this store.

Few years back I walked in to buy a 1911 but no one helped me, a lady walked in wearing yoga pants and was helped by three salesman so I left. Went in this weekend and no one helped me again they actually called in two other customers from outside. I guess since I’m Hispanic and covered in tattoo’s they don’t think I can afford guns or pass a background check. WRONG!!!! Never walk in those doors again.

Its pretty unassuming when you walk in, but Ive been to gun stores all over the country and this is now one of my favorites. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about all manner of guns and they have a LOT of really interesting inventory in the safe behind the counter if you tell them what youre looking for. Highly recommend a visit if youre in town.

Iv gone here twice both times were great. A worker named Friday is great helped me out fast and informative towards me. I recently looked up gunsmiths in Santa Fe and it brought me here now I’m confused 2 rude workers told me that they did not gunsmith there. I plan to return due to the great product and service with Friday. But it would be great if they had a gunsmith as well!

Website and all public info say they close at 7PM Fridays, but they shut the door on me at 6PM after driving out. Wasted my time driving here, will never come back. Employee also said entire mall closes at 6PM - a bold faced lie.Please learn how to conduct your business professionally in the future; dont lie to a potential customer because you want to go home early on the weekend.

Very nice staff that are patient and knowledgeable. Guns are very overpriced vs other gun shops in Santa Fe. My example is the Outdoorsman wanted $395 for a USED Walther P22 and Tinas range sold me a NEW Walther P22 for $320. Its worth your time to do you homework.

A bit hard to find since its inside DeVargas Mall!.. but knowledge, friendly staff once inside really helped me find a perfect holster for my S&W sd40!.. these folks dont mind if you didnt bring in your sidearm for proper fitting, just save the receipt and if there is any problems, come back and theyll make it right!

As an individual with years of experience in firearms, I can say proudly that I wont be returning here again! My girlfriend wanted a pistol with a manual safety and the rep said if you dont trust having a gun without a safety, I wont sell you a gun at all. Who are you to decide what others want? On top of that, theyre overpriced compared just about anywhere else in town or online. Skip this place and go to Big R or even Tinas.

I bought my first ar15 here. Great price for the brand, pretty much a steal. Very knowledgeable and courteous staff. Brad was the gentleman that helped me. He was very helpful in explaining how to disassemble it and even put on my sights. Defeninitly will be shopping here again.

Made 45 minute trip here on Friday because the website said they were open until 7pm. Arrived around 5:55 and got to the shop front at 6:00pm to find locked doors while several people were still at the counter and a customer was being helped. I waited for the customer to finish and come out the door and he had to be let out by a bald headed employee and was rudely asked what do you want? And I asked if they were closed because I wanted to do some shopping and they said they were. I asked if they were aware it says theyre open until 7 online on google and their website and he said he was aware but the owner wont change it and that the whole mall closes at 6pm and slammed the door. The whole mall was still open and all the stores were still doing business with people coming in and out still.Ill never do business here again. What a waste of time. The employees proved to be rude and blatant liars. What a horrible business.

Good selection of firearms, a bit over priced. Not much on stocking hunting camo or accessories. Hours arent very convenient for you if you are a working person. They are located in a mall that closes early. Go figure,(Santa Fe).

Bill Roney and his staff, are friendly, knowledgable kind of laid back, by that I mean they dont want to sell you something you are not interested in buying be it caliber, size or make. Theycan inform but never are pushy.

I went into this store years ago and the customer service was as described here in a number of reviews: rude, inadequate, snotty, etc. I never came back to the store. Its a store that doesnt seem to want to do business with actual customers. I dont waste my time any more. Tinas Range Gear is a much better place anyway.

I needed some ammunition for the weekend.Checking the website before leaving, the website lists the closing time today, a Friday, as 7 pm.I made a special trip there and arrived at 6:01. There was a large chain across the door and 4 guys standing at the counter.They closed early and wasted my time.If the website needs updating, stay open as listed until it is updated.If there was a more serious problem which caused the premature closing, I welcome a response and apologize in advance.

Outstanding local gun shop. From the first time I walked in, everyone there was friendly and eager to help. Theyll discuss arcane minutiae with very knowledgeable customers, and then happily turn around and explain to a beginner that its a magazine, not a clip, and no, you dont need one for your grandfathers revolver.Ive bought new firearms from them, Ive traded in a old firearms toward new-to-me firearms, bought ammunition and accessories... I cant say from first-hand experience how they are about facilitating internet purchases, and Ive never needed their gunsmithing services, but thats about all I cant comment on. This is a great shop.

Ive been in here a few times to look around. I decided to replace my stolen AR by going to outdoorsman. I waited 20 minutes before anyone asked me if I needed anything. I asked to see the AR I was interested in, he handed it to me. I asked if I could open it to inspect it. He said he preferred I dont and snottily claimed that its a brand new weapon. Well excuse me, having been in the military for over 16 years I know how supposedly new weapons often have a defect so I walked out. Im not spending $1,700+ for a weapon I cant inspect. Went to my old reliable wild west in Taos n bought a comparable weapon for less. Good bye outdoorsman, apparently you never heard the customer is always right.... A good reminder of why we should shop with local competent vendors...

Ive gone there several times for odds and ends, never to purchase a firearm from them. The staff always seems extremely reluctant to even talk to me, like Im burdening them with my patronage. Ive asked opinions on parts, firearms, etc., and always receive one-word answers. The staff is not very friendly.I doubt Ill purchase a firearm through them in the future, and will probably avoid going there in general from now on.
