I recently moved out of LA, but for the three years that I lived there I consistently took my car to Morris Automotive and was always satisfied with their treatment of my car and transparency of prices. They worked with me when it came to budgeting and car fixes. They were transparent about what could wait to be fixed and what needed attention ASAP. I wish Morris Automotive couldve moved to my new home state with me! I miss having a dependable mechanic. Called and spoke with Bruce and he was extremely courteous, helpful and professional. Dropped my car off the next morning to have my brakes checked because it was making a horrible noise. I have used Morris automotive for decades and many different types of cars. Dave himself is a Master Diagnostician and when my whole mechanical world is mystified, Dave can figure it out. Morris Automotive did some weird cleaning out of my cars internal system 2 years ago and my 1999 Toyota Celica GT with 247,000+ miles on it sailed through smog test with better numbers than ever. I was doubtful at first but it improved performance for reals, not just a rip off add on. Morris Motors has never recommended things I don’t need. When Dave retires I’m going to stop driving.

These guys do great work and are quick and respect your time. Bruce is super friendly and knowledgeable.l as well. They also were willing to work on my 1999 dodge which is getting old, so I really appreciate that. I received a written estimate to submit to my company for approval. The parts were ordered per my request ahead of time. The repairs were completed quickly using the dealer parts I requested. The truck interior was completely cleaned and vacuumed when I picked up the vehicle. This shop runs under great ownership with superior management and experienced mechanics. I had such a great experience at Morris Automotive! My car idled and turned off twice on PCH. After a safe Google search, I called them and they told me to head straight there. They were friendly, offered me coffee and assessed my car. They kept open communication with updates regarding costs, part explanations and timeline. My car was ready the same day and was even vacuumed. I ended up leaving with a great story from Bruce and a perfectly running car (it was the camshaft!). They were wonderful. Very kind, everyone greeted me as they passed. I never felt like I was being talked down to and all processes were explained prior to taking any action. I was especially appreciative that they didnt try to upsell me on anything, but offered to take care of anything I may need in the future, even top off of fluids. They also graciously offered to pick me up from home so I didnt have to wait for a ride over to pick up my car. I would absolutely give them my business again.

Took an older (1962) vehicle to them for a mix of things to get done/diagnosed. Great communication, didnt speak down to me, and did the work promptly. Went above and beyond suggesting other things I could/should be doing to help it run better. Maybe not the cheapest hourly rate youll find but Id argue its worth it… all friendly guys too :)

I got in a small accident not long before the shelter in place order went into effect. I had taken my vehicle to another garage right after the accident, and it ended up sitting there for just over two weeks. During this time that garage did not open up my vehicle to check out the damage and spent a long time looking for parts before finally telling me that they couldn’t get the parts to fix my 2007 Saturn in all of California.I called up Morris Automotive for a second opinion, and Bruce told me right away that he could get the parts. I had my vehicle towed over to Morris the next day, Bruce had the parts by the end of that day, and I got my vehicle back the very next day. The price I paid was even cheaper than I had expected. Morris Automotive had my back when I thought I had completely lost my car in the middle of a pandemic. I highly recommend this garage.

I have a story I like to tell everyone I recommend him to : 20 years ago, I had a ‘66 Mustang and something sounded really bad, so I brought it to a mechanic who told me it was my axle and it was going to cost me $500.00. I wanted a second opinion and went to Dave Morris who was highly recommended to me...He looks at my car and says : “It’s the rim- $12 dollars.” Wow! That was it for me! I have a 4 Runner with an absurd number of miles. It had, after 20 years, started to run rough in stop-and-go traffic and had briefly stalled on three occasions. My previous mechanic could find nothing wrong and suggested I bring it back when the problem was worse. Instead, I took it to this place, which had been recommended by a friend who also owned a 20 year-old Toyota. My truck now runs like new or, at least, how it ran a couple hundred thousand miles ago.

They seemed to do a great and thorough job on my front brakes. But maybe because I have an older car the engine job still has some problems. I feel they should just tell me what else needs to be done or its just too old to repair. It has oil leaks. Overall I think Dave the owner tries to be fair and make every job good. Theyre still offering to help if they can. I feel they are honest and willing to make every job they do good.

I thought the guys were great. Expecting me, ready to go, realistic about when they might be done, friendly, and nice. They told me what was wrong and fixed the problem. What more can a girl ask for?Thank you!

Auto repair shops aren’t generally known for giving discounts and incredible service...until now. I called around to five shops and Bruce made me feel like the Prius would be as good as new for a fair and reasonable price. Sure enough, they did just that and I am grateful. As if that wasn’t enough, Jesus (a diamond in the rough who also happens to be a Mexican healer with mad skills) drove my toddler and me home in the Prius (so I didn’t have to uninstall the car seat) and picked us up the next day. I can’t possibly sing the praises of Morris Automotive enough. Thank you for fixing the Prius after it was broken into, for not charging me an arm and a leg, and for doing it all with smiles, courteous service, and much compassion. If only all businesses could follow this model, what a world this would be...

I cannot praise this business enough. I was in town for the afternoon using a borrowed car. They squeezed me in and diagnosed/documented the issue and applied a temporary fix so that I could return home that evening. I was even provided with the melted spark plug that had been the source of the trouble. Brilliant customer service and care!

Bruce was really great on the phone and in person. Made me feel like they were in total control and not going to try to take advantage of my pocket! Left my car there, I had to go to work. Received a phone call from Bruce and letting me know what the issue was with my car and how much it would be. Very next day I got another phone call saying my car was ready. He even made sure to give me my AAA discount. Will totally take my car back for anything that needs to be fixed. So painless.
