This store has a huge selection of hats with different styles and looks. The location is in a great area with many other cool stores on a strip. Its a big a tourist area too.

Never again. Talked to a salesperson about a baseball cap. I told him what I wanted but that I would be there at 7. Got there at 7 and though there were customers in the store, the door was locked and they refused to open the door for me to make the purchase. If you want business, every so often you are suppose to go beyond your regular routine. This is one of many reasons why people are shopping online instead of dealing with lazy salespeople inside these lame stores. I will continue to shop at Lids, just not in the Santa Monica store.

My nephew is obsessed with the Dodgers so for his birthday I wanted to get him one of the nice New Era caps the players wear on field. The selection of hats that Lids stocks is just crazy. I actually had a hard time deciding what one to go with because there were so many options, but I ended up going with the classic royal blue with the iconic white interlocking “LA”. He’s going to love it!!

I used to have a collection of New Era hats so large I could wear a different one every day for a month straight. Although I don’t wear hats as frequently these days, I still like going into lids and seeing what new styles/ color ways they have. I saw a LA Lakers “Hollywood Nights” dad hat while browsing this time and I just had to grab it

My wife asked for Atlanta hats and one salesperson said they didnt have any and she should go online. Then the manager (Ausell) said hed find the ones they had, walked to the front door and stayed there, having a conversation. I came from outside where he was just standing and asked for the manager...it was him, no wonder the entire store lacked customer service skills or integrity.

I got custom hats made at lids with my logo on the hats. Christopher Martinez and Cristian Chevez had amazing customer service. I had tons of questions about the process of getting my logo on the hat. They helped me so much they gave me great suggestions on what color of hat to get. I’m all about customer service and both of them had exceptional customer service they were helping me and also every person that walked in they greeted them and asked if they needed any help as well. The process took about four days to finish. I think it’s so cool that you can personalize hats. I love that lids has this as an option. I will be back to order more hats. I am really happy how my hats turned out. The process of getting my hats made was really fun and I am giving lids 5 star for my whole experience. Thank you

Chris and Aronis are the best! I recently stopped by to have three blank hats embroidered with my custom logo and Chris walked me through the entire project, made recommendations on embroidery specifications and ensured the hats came out perfectly. He really want above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service and took a personal, vested interest in delivering a top-quality product. Lastly, Chris and Aronis were extremely positive and friendly. I commend Lids for having such great employees! Thanks again, guys!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a shop with that many snapback options before. It is a pretty cool store to visit regardless if you are buying anything or not. My only issue is that the prices are a bit on the high side. $35 may seem a bit too pricey for some people, including myself.

I like how they have a few small mirrors at different heights with the clarity of aluminum foil. Why would anyone buying a hat need a good mirror?

Great service, staff was very helpful and they even engraved some hats and jerseys for me!

OK range but staff are unhelpful and tell you things they don’t know are true or not just to get you to buy stock. Was told “they were out” of 2 different hats that I found stock just a few feet away after a bit of a search. Just say you don’t know if you don’t know.

Huge selection of caps, both the norm and something a little more fashionable, prices were the going rate, but the staff on in the evening seemed more interested in chatting with each other than people shopping.
