Great local photo printing shop and great customer service. Its so nice to still have a print shop locally to go to! These self-service machines at drug stores and such just dont print quality. I love the staff here and the quality is superb! Thanks for still being in business!

As a camera beginner, I came in with a list of questions in regards to what I needed in a camera. Within minutes, Mike was able to identify a great camera for me. He listened to every question and answered them all! I was sincerely impressed with the information he gave and with his patience with a beginner. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Shutterbug for follow up questions or additional equipment.There were no pushy sales techniques or attempts to upsell me with items I didn’t need. He gave me all of the information I needed so I absolutely purchased my camera through him. I settled on a new Canon Mark II with a great warranty. I wasn’t the only happy customer in the store, it was easy tell they have a loyal following for good reason. 10/10 recommend.

Got charged three times for printing one roll of film.I originally paid 16.98 to print a black and white roll of film. When I went back to pick it up, he told me that I had only paid to get it developed, and owed an extra 14.17. I was pretty confident that I had paid in full, but not enough to challenge him too hard on it. Later I realized that the receipt had someone elses name on it with the same last name, and he had had me pay to print up someone elses film. At that point I probably should have gone back but thought it was too late. When I went in today to finally get my film they told me that prints actually cost 40 dollars, not 17, so I had to cover the difference. I would not have agreed to get it printed if Id known it was 40. So overall I payed over 56 bucks for one roll of film when i originally thought it was 17 bucks, and 15 of that was to print up a different costumers roll who only wanted it developed. Usually I have a great experience with shutterbug and have been routinely going to them for the past 6 or so years for all my prints and film, but this whole experience was continuously frustrating and now I am not sure where to go to develop/print my film. I cant afford 56 bucks for a roll of prints even if it was an honest mistake.

I love the Shutterbug Camera Shop in Santa Rosa. The staff is always very friendly and incredibly helpful. I always have my photos processed here with excellent results. I also just noticed there are some amazing deals to go along with purchasing a new camera. It’s an excellent way to get to know your camera, equipment, and practice using it all.

Great place for what you need for photography wether you are an amateur or professional.. And lots of good deals too.

I love going in to Shutterbug. Everyone is very helpful as I often have an idea, but dont quite know how to make it happen. They have helped me turn my art and photos into beautiful creations, on canvas, metal, even coasters.

Love this shop. They have been so helpful to us with making new prints after we lost everything in the Valley Fire. We also had large canvas prints made to fill our empty walls. Always friendly and helpful. Im not tech savvy but they always have time and patients to walk me through making prints at their photo kiosks. Great staff. Nice selection of other photo related items like frames, mats, cameras, bags, equipment, and repairs. They are quick at drop off printing too.

Nice store. Found and bought a good used Nikon lens. Staff was helpful and friendly but it would have nice if they had found and included a front lens cap or a small bag instead of having to carry the bare lens out of the story and carting it back home with no protection. A little extra customer service would have been very helpful.

The man that helped me, AND ended up selling me my Camera, took a lot of time with me to explain every little thing I asked about the Camera, and then some. He was not pushy in the least. Im very happy with the service we got there.

If you like Digital Photography then this is the store to check out for this area. The prices are standard. Dont expect door buster big box online pricing but expect them to have the stuff you need in stock. Check their used gear. Every once and a while they have some good used stuff but it will go fast so check often. The staff is flat out the best. Honest. They dont seem to have a big push to make a sale. They are there if you need them and leave you alone if you just want to browse. The printing service is better than what you will find at places like Target or Walgreens. The prints have a better range of color and detail. They are a little more limited if you are looking for printing panorama photos. If you are looking for gear, I would suggest this shop over any big box store. You may pay a little more but you wont have to deal with Best Buy style sales staff and if you have problem they will make it right.

I called to get some information on tripods and frankly I got horrible customer service. The guy I spoke to hung up on me while I was still speaking.

Came in to trade my camera, which was basically new and was given a worth 1/7 (a canon g5x worth 699.99 and i was offered 110) of what it originally cost to buy it. plus when i came in a nice lady referred me to the best person to talk to about my case. so not only did this man take forever walking back and forth as if he was purposely trying to avoid me telling me “oh it will just be a minute.” at the last second he went to an employee who was ALREADY helping someone and started to say to him “so are we gonna do a switch?? can we do a switch??” and i could see the confusion on the employees face, making him leave the person he was already helping. just terrible customer service. making me wait only to trade out and help someone else.

Best place for knowledgeable staff and help with all things camera without having pushy salesmen sell you things you dont need.

I went in to sell 3 Sony FE Lenses, and I got a pretty decent amount for them. It was a very quick turn around, and I didnt have to fight for a fair price. Ill honestly probably come back especially for their lights and tripods.

Great Camera and Photography shop. Lots of selection and knowledgeable staff. Long time local business where I have bought a few bags and cameras from over the years and was always happy.

Great local camera store. They carry some video equipment which is what I go for when in a pinch. Public opinion from local video producers is, if they just carried more Quality Pro Video Gear they would save us a lot of trips to San Francisco for gear. But great selection in DSLR.

I shoot film - and absolutely love these guys! I can get negatives, prints & a CD of photos ready in 2-4 days. For a GREAT price. Sad to lose the Petaluma location, but I will be making the drive to SR for my monthly drop offs :) I dont know anywhere else that offers this service locally anymore.

This is the first time Ive used Shutterbug and I wouldnt give them any stars if I had a choice. I called yesterday and found out that it hadnt even been done. The man promised they would do it right away which meant their machine must havebeen working. I got a call today it was ready great right? No they shorted me one copy I had paid for then he acted like he couldnt believe I wanted the difference back they had charged even if was 5 dollars. Im very disappointed by their customer service. His line to me was that they had been in business 50 years. I dont think Ill be going back!

This is the place to go for every thing needed as well as helpful people.

Staff can be hit or miss. A worker there will stop mid conversation with you to greet a customer that just walked in with a dog, then spends 10 minutes playing with the dog and interacting with that customer just BSing. It happen the last two times I was in there, and after leaving me high and dry for upwards of 10 minutes, she asked me if that was rude. I wanted to tell her it was, but I didnt see the point. If she couldnt figure it out on her own, then I didnt see the need to tell her. Also, she has tried to judge how much Im willing to spend and sell me cheaper tripods. I am willing to spend over 300 on one, but then the way she is about it made me leave.

Staff will spend as much time as you need to sort out problems and help you select the best camera for what you want to do. Awesome selection and they work with manufacture deals to get you good pricing.

Went here to look for camera gear expecting a great customer experience due to the previous reviews.Absolutely mortified by the horrific support staff they have. They were rude, intentionally slow-moving despite my request that they expedite the process due to my being in a rush.In fact, I heard one salesman remark to the other “go help them, I’m not going to assist them anymore.”Quite frankly the worst experience I’ve had in a small business.

I gave up on these guys. I am an avid photographer and have multiple SLRs. I prefer to buy local, but the manager will allow no returns only credits. One SLR I bought I was not sure about. BestBuy would give me a 2 week money back (confirmed with the manager). When I spoke with the manager at Shutterbug, he would only give me a store credit. I didnt want to tie up $2000+ in a credit. I ended up keeping the SLR and BestBuy got my money.They are good to pick up small items if needed in a hurry.
