Iv use car-tunes many time’s. I had my 2004 Ford F-250 tinted all around and had a sound system installed. Aaron up front is very helpful l. And had no issues with any questions I could throw his way and actually help me figure out what I really wanted in the audio world. His co-worker and manager Jeff super busy guy.has a lot knowledge and experience in the audio world. Everyone has alot of patients to do what they do. And to deal with someone who isn’t up to par in the audio world.Car-tunes is a must got to shop for all you car audio needs and tints!! Everyone there is awesome great people! You have to stop in.

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE! I recently brought my truck in for a simple deck, amp, speaker install and every aspect was done wrong. The result after bring it back to be fixed twice is a broken dash, a rattle behind the dash and rattle/vibration from the speakers. Most of the staff is very rude.
We lived close by, so they took us home and picked us up when the car was done. Installed an in-dash JVC backup camera and radio combo into our 2003 Honda Element. Looks like it just came from the factory. Works great, night resolution is fantastic. Gave a very fair competitive price up front.
I hesitate to write reviews however i have spent a few thousand $ with this company and have yet to receive any good will when i have had problems with both of their installations. i really believe in customer service and cannot find any after the initial installations with this company. This company does not stand by their work.
Seems my review was deleted....ZERO STAR RATING.While tinting my windows (which I totally overpaid for because they did a HORRIBLE job) they damaged my brand new car that I had only owned for a few months prior to bringing it to them. The owner and staff are THE most rudest people I’ve ever met in my life. Customer service gets a NEGATIVE 5 rating.It was a sh*t show from the second I walked into the building to drop my car off. The owner had made my fiancé a deal since my fiancé had just spent a decent amount on a backup camera for his truck...when dropping my car off, the owners daughter didn’t want to honor the price given to my fiancé and made the comment “part of my paycheck is commission”...who says that to a paying customer?! Finally after my fiancé having to call from work she finally agreed to the price we were given in the first place....left my car with them and came back a few hours later to find my brand new car damaged. On the passenger mirror a huge (blue) scuff and scratch and a few scratches on my passenger doors. When brought to their attention they acted as if they could care less...they very hesitantly walked out to the parking lot to even look...the owners daughter who tinted our windows and was responsible for our car hid inside the shop staring from a distance and refused to come see the damage. They denied, denied, denied it was them and offered us to see the video footage. They showed it to us in fast forward mode and didn’t show the side of the car that was damaged. I found it funny that the car next to us that they had tinted the windows for had the exact same blue scuff marks on it too...not only did they damage our car but they also did the worst tint job I’ve seen in my life...our front visor tint was given to us with a huge scratch in it, the driver side and passenger side windows still have small bubbles and the back window is already peeling...THEY REFUSED TO FIX THE TINT THAT WE PAID FOR AND WE EVEN BOUGHT THE LIFE TIME WARRANTY TINT...How can they take our money and refuse to fix it when it’s under warranty?!STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS AND THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUIN YOUR CAR.
My wife went there to get a sound system for her car that would sound as good as what she had and had hands free calling which she didnt have. He sold her a system that he said would be a up grade to the sounds she had. They installed the system and $2,000 later they handed her the keys and closed shop. The system sounded terrible, could not hear the rear speakers. Then I checked it out and found that the system maxed out at 6watts per speaker. Cant rock-n-roll with that. Took it back and he said no problem he could fix that and handed us an estimate for another $1,000. A very deceptive sales practice, he knew the system could not push the speakers without a power amp. He refuses to give a refund or fix the problem in any-other way. so now I have to waste my time making him squirm in front of a judge. Dont waste your time, go somewhere else!! Oh! By the way I am not in your data base either but youll find out soon enough this review is real!!
I am so impressed by Saras helpfulness and work ethic when I went there for service yesterday. I needed my new cell phone to sync with the Pioneer stereo system. She went beyond my request to help with details that took extra time to figure out like how not to get call when I am driving except from my Favorites list. She tested to make sure it worked. It turned out she was off the clock and wanted to help me asap so I was there under 15 minutes. Very pleased!

I had never purchased a car radio before and knew nothing about using it for hands free phone calls, etc. The employees here were so patient in answering my questions and explaining the options I had. When it was installed I received a great demo. I could have purchased a radio at Best Buy, but Cartunes has been at the same location for many years and has great reviews. I happy to add another one.
These guys did a great job on my stereo install in my 3rd gen tacoma Jeff and Aarron were very professional and were more than happy to answer any questions I had. I will be bringing all my car stereo and tinting needs here for sure

Im very dissatisfied about my key remote i want it to get it fixed i decided to go to this place where i guess the owner try to help me and give the option to replace it they took a look and it would take time to program it so the second option was him to melt plastic and make a loop to hook the key in a key chain and he will charge 42 dollars for it and have it ready like in 2 to 3 hrs so i decided that to be faster that was the better decision and i left the key remote he just said that it will be good to do that just in case we lose it or break it, because if that happened that was over .... so the time passed and i when to pick it up and i just couldn’t believe it how substandard the work was i mean i just don’t know how im going to change the battery when the time comes i will have to break it open to change it this is ridiculous for them not to think about that now far from getting it fixed they ruined it i just regret it going there.
Today I had the unfortunate experience of getting my radio replaced by these guys. I will say that the radio looks fine and works. No issues there. However upon picking my car back up, I place the key in the ignition and it wont even start up. I ask the tech that had worked on my car why that is. He stated that they had difficulty removing the key from the ignition, while in the shop, for 20 minutes. This was a surprise to me having had the car for 3 months and never having had an issue. Now the key wont even turn. Ultimately I talk to the manager who tells me it must be a coincidence and wont do anything about it unless I pay for him to repair it. I left the car in their care with no issues and I received it back with a broken ignition and thats apparently my problem according to the manager. Avoid this business at all costs or it will cost you more than you bargained for. Now looking through past reviews there seem to be a lot of coincidental malfunctions and odd electrical issues here. Makes sense they dont want to pay for my repair, they would be out of business by now.08/05/2020 Response:Michael M.of Cartunes, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately your account of the service call is not quite accurate.Your techs called to state they were having difficulty removing the key from the ignitions...and I didnt know about this issue. I stated I never had any issues like this and wasnt sure what they were talking about. They, in response, said THEY would figure something out and thats where the phone call ended. Yes, they informed me of an issue, but they also took on the responsibility for the solution. I was never informed of what the solution was or that ultimately the ignition was broken. Simply informing me of an issue, (which your techs stated they would figure out), doesnt absolve you of responsibility for additional damage resulting from that “solution”.You state you were willing to pay to repair the ignition at the time. However, when I picked up my car, the manager clearly said to me that he wouldnt pay for the repairs. He then quoted prices to have the car fixed in your shop. I was told it would cost me at least $215 for the labor plus cost of parts that he would try to get from AutoZone. I don’t understand how you can equate your managers decline to cover additional repairs now needed, followed by quoting me proposed cost for these repairs in your shop, with any indication of a willingness to cover the cost and fix my cars ignition.You have indicated this model of car has intermittent issues associated with the tumblers in the lock of the ignition. The tumblers can catch your key. I was unaware this is a common problem. I have taken the vehicle to the VW dealership for repair. On initial review, I was advised there is some indication that an attempt to dislodged the key placed too much force on the housing and body of the lock which caused it to bind, rendering the ignition, and therefore the vehicle, inoperable. As a result, I am incurring additional costs for repairs. This does not appear to be a simple issue of tumblers catching a key as you claim. A key caught in the tumbler may not be easy to remove, but it still functions with the ignition and the car is still operable. That is not the condition of my vehicle when your shop returned it to me.

Go to Santa Rosa Cartunes!I am a REAL person, REALLY living in Sonoma County, California, and a REALLY HAPPY CUSTOMER of Santa Rosa Cartunes!I recently bought a customized Dodge Challenger that had a very upgraded sound system, including a hand-crafted subwoofer enclosure in the trunk. The sound from the system was ok BUT there were a lot of quirky problems: NO audio for the GPS navigation directions, NO audio for the Bluetooth uConnect system for hands-free phone calls, NO volume control for the trunk subwoofers, and NO working radio; the radio could only manually tune in 3 local stations (and the Scan function would just go round-and-round and never could find any station, including the local ones!).I asked my local Dodge dealers who they might recommend to help me; they ALL said Santa Rosa Cartunes! I asked trusted folks in a number of local automotive shops; they ALL said Santa Rosa Cartunes! I asked a number of my car friends who had custom stereo work done for their cars: they ALL said Santa Rosa Cartunes! It seemed pretty clear to me: I took my car to Santa Rosa Cartunes!When I arrived for my appointment, friendly-knowledgeable-professional Jeff listened to my tale of woe, checked out the problems I was having, said I know the cause of the problem and we CAN fix it. Music (so to speak!) to my ears! And THEN he gave me a fixed quote for the needed work, clearly explaining the parts and hours of labor required.I left my car in their capable hands and waited for the call. When Jeff called me to say the work was done (on time!), he said, I have good news and bad news .... Gulp! I tell myself ... Hit me I say to Jeff. Jeff went on to say, The good news is that we fixed everything and your system sounds great. The bad news is that the final cost was NOT the fixed price I quoted you ... It was lower! WOW!When I went to pick up my car, they thoroughly explained the work that was done and walked me through the various controls etc. of the new system. And the sound! AMAZING FASTASTIC!Lessons Learned:Having problems with your existing sound system? GO TO SANTA ROSA CARTUNES!Want your sound system to sound AWESOME? *Highly recommended*I have had my system for about 6 years. I have never had anyone tune it or even touch it for that matter because it has an extreme amount of value to me. All of the sudden my amplifier stopped working so I stopped by Cartunes. They had helped me by installing an Ipod connection in the past. They gave their price upfront and I went home to consult my husband. We were able to get the amplifier working ourselves but all of the adjustments had been thrown off in the process.I asked Cartunes if I could have them take care of it and they did for an extremely reasonable fee. They had me inspect before they were done to make sure I was satisfied with their work and the set levels. I could not have been more surprised and grateful. My system has never sounded so clean. Arc Audio is not the most common system especially for a car series so it was a comfort for me to receive it back in far better shape then I had left it in. My system has never sounded so perfect! You never know, stop in for a tune up! Great guys!

In my opinion, these people charge WAY too much.. I found products on Amazon (that are superior) for almost half the price. Its not the responsibility of one customer to pay the entire rent for these guys facility.. that s how it felt to get an estimate for a simple radio replacement with GPS. Almost $1000 & would still have to link my phone to the new system for the GPS to work...!!!??? Thats hilarious.. no thanks.

Ive used Cartunes a number of times over the past year. They have been nothing but helpful, even doing a window replacement for me while installing an alarm. Mike spent time with me making sure I knew how to operate my alarm, and Troy is a knowledgable helpful tech/ mechanic. Great place!

I dont recommend this place. Went in for a simple stereo installation and ended up with a malfunctioned a/c, which they wouldnt take responsibility for. Wasted a whole day and $200
My brother bought a stereo from them on their recommendation for the back up camera and now the buttons on the stereo doesnt work. After multiple attempts to get it looked at he has just been given excuses like they have to call a company in New York but they never do and get back to him. They say he doesnt need an appointment to just come in but he lives all the way in Clearlake and works 2 jobs. When they said come in and he tried they end up being closed. Still no resolution to his problem over 3 months later.
The window tinting is great but the stereo installation and car stereo products they sell are overpriced and their installations are terrible. Everything they installed in my car has problems. The stereo drains the battery. The led lights just fell down. I reccomend doing your homework and finding a better place for your car stereo. If you just want to get your windows tinted I reccomend this place
Overall satisfactory experience. Enticed me in with the sale sign. Sold me the wrong size speaker for my car. Corrected the mistake by selling me speakers 4 times costlier with a very small mark-up. Happy with my new speakers.

Dont waste your money here. They will cut holes in your car to run wires and do anything they can to cut corners. They also are malicious neighbors to their neighboring businesses Tiny by Day and Advanced Auto Glass. Go ask those guys for yourself if you should trust Cartunes doing work on your vehicle. Tint by Day has been their most of my adult life and this business started doing Tint and put up all these obnoxious signs to steal their business because their car audio business is such a joke. That says everything about their integrity as a business. If you need car audio go down the street to Cartronics.

They did have decent inventory, and one of the guys working which was helping me at first was a great help. Seemed to be able to answer all my questions, and give me some ideas. In the end he helped me find one of the things I was looking for. Anyways I bought two of the things I needed for my project here, and when I got them, the packages had been opened but I was assured it was the right part, and all pieces were included. Well come sunday afternoon Im knee deep in my install, and two of the parts I purchased, were mismatching. they were for two different year vehicles, and on top of that the open packages, I came to find out, were missing all of the installation hardware. I mean I guess I should have went through it all right there in the store, but usually a customer should be able to expect that everything will be included in a product when you buy it, and what your buying is what the package says it is. since they are closed on sunday, I had to make do and use a dermal to fix the issues I ran into. I was happy to find a store that had a rare piece I was looking for, but disappointed that the open package was missing parts, and the product had mismatching pieces inside. a mistake Im sure, but still a major inconvenience since I spent money on something that ended up being a hassle on my end. customer service could be improved. sure ill be back in the future sometime, just wasnt the experience Im used to from my previous car audio store I use to frequent.

Went in to buy a couple of replacement rear speakers so my kiddos could listen to story cds in the car. Thought I was going to spend $60+ for new and more to make it fit in the factory door. Talked with the guy for a bit and he found me a couple of used speakers for $20 that fit and will work just fine for storys. Thanks for being more interested in my satisfaction then my money :-)
Can not say enough about Michaels service. We ran into a glitch and he went above an beyond to resolve our issue. Installed a new screen forour Volvo camera in Santa Rosa and the following day actually drove down to Corte Madera to deliver our garage door opener, accidentally left behind when we picked up our vehicle, and the instructions for the item we purchased. Went in to see if they could give me any suggestions on how to pit in my alpine type R 10d4 in a 86 gmc s15, the guy was more intrested in selling me a new sub with a box for a truck than analyzing the situation and using his brain even after I told him the bench seat could slide forward to give more room in the back! He just said that sub not for truck so I got on my way
Do not get your windows tinted here you will regret it. They warrantied the work but did a even worse job the second time. I walked across the parking lot and talked to the neighbor who also does window tinting. Not only was he slightly cheaper but he did a perfect job.

I have had work done to my wifes vehicle and from the Bluetooth, stereo, speakers and headrest monitor that was installed I had to get my wifes windows tinted there as well, we had one issue with the monitor which was a fuse and the matter was handled promptly and free for being a repeat and valued customer. so I had to get the windows tinted there as well had one incident with windows but that matter was handled in a prompt and courteous manner now thats old school service in a new school environment! we love this place and will continue to do business there as well as promote business there thank you Cartunes youre the greatest1LOYALCUSTOMER

My CD player was not working properly had an intermittent problem so I went here to cartunes since they had fixed it once several years ago. This time they told me it would cost just as much to fix the CD player as it would to replace. So I decided to replace it and get a new stereo with Bluetooth capabilities so I could talk hands free. So I bought the new stereo and they installed it, when I listened there was feedback it sounded staticky. I was told there was nothing they could do just how it would be. I took the car home, my husband said no way this is terrible so I bought it back in they fixed the feedback but said they needed a new harness so I paid for more expensive harness. Then the Bluetooth wasnt working properly my phone would not connect it was having all kinds of problems so I brought it back in again and they decided unit was bad so they replaced it with a new one. Installer said he had trouble getting stereo in, I noticed it was loose and they had damaged the car while putting it in, I was so frustrated at this point that I could not deal with them any longer. When my husband looked at the car he was frustrated and realized they had installed stereo incorrectly and damaged car. He took the time to hook up amp, that they did not and connected speakers properly so front was hooked to front and rear to rear so we could adjust them properly with the stereo. Now that my husband spent a few hours the thing finally works right. But I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone under any circumstances. They do not know what they are doing. I spent over 6 hours waiting at their shop for them to essentially just screw stuff up for me.

This place is terrible. Owner is very rude and was no help. Told me i was not serious buyer because i asked for a quote. He basically told me all the things he was selling are garbage ( rockford fosgate, kicker ) only would sell mono subs. Couldnt give me any information on them . also assumed i had no cash and couldnt buy anything. STAY AWAY. All around a terrible place. I walked out and wont ever come back and am telling everyone to not even waste there time.

I went in to have my automatic car starter settings adjusted. They gave the price up front. I was in and out in less than an hour, and they got all the settings the way I wanted them.
