We purchased a bran new 2018 Chevy Silverado from Platinum in 2018. We dropped our truck off on a Friday for an appointment drove 3 hours Monday afternoon to find our truck still sitting in the same place. Nobody had a solution to our truck in fact didn’t even look at it. We we’re told we would get a call the next day on Tuesday on the status, we never got a call!!Never heard from them Wednesday, Thursday or Friday till I called angry.. Then they said it will be another week..

Took a minute for someone to look up from their computer and offer to help when I first walked in despite me being the only customer there and 4 employees working on 3 computers. Then was very helpful on getting my truck checked in and informing me the parts I asked about for the recent recall were not available yet. However I also asked twice about getting a face plate over the knob that changes the truck’s wheel drive (between 2 and 4L and 4H) replaced AGAIN since the last time I had my truck serviced there it was knocked off and I was told you would call when you got the part back in (that never happened). The service provider promised me he’d look into it, I didn’t see it on my signed estimate and asked a second time and he said, “oh yeah, I won’t forget” and yet when I picked up my truck nothing was mentioned and nothing was fixed and I was told he must have gone home for the day…to call back the next day (which was Saturday of a holiday weekend).

With the truck shortage in full swing, I was stopping at dealerships during my travels looking for a mid size truck. General response was that they had none and none were coming in. At Platinum, Miguel asked me questions, showed me the on order list and said that if something arrived that fit my request he would contact me. Something did arrive and he contacted me. I have had 2 brake jobs done on my car. The car has 13,000 miles on it. They blame the issue on me though there is no indication it is my fault. I have 3 other cars. None having brake issue. None. I have contacted them again. We will see how they handle it.

I wouldn’t let them put air in my bicycle tire. The service department is a joke. They will replace parts without asking you first. You’ll get a bill with several hundred dollars added. They will also say they replacedSomething, but not actually do it and charge you.

I drove past the entrance to Platinum Chevrolet, turned around and then couldnt see the old fashioned service center. Im used to a big bay where you line up your car for service. Here, and I suppose many many places, they have a service room where you check in. The service center representative was totally fast, through, friendly and very informative. He also set up the Lyft service out and back when they were finished with the vehicle.

The last time I took my new Silverado into this shop was one of the strangest experiences in my life when dealing with the automotive industry. I lost power steering on my truck, so I called on Platinum to restore the issue under warranty. After doing some self diagnostics, I found a small tear in the weather boot on the rack and pinon assembly. I notified the service team that the whole rack and pinon would need to be replaced, as water was visible in the internals. After a few weeks, I was notified that only the electronic motor would need to be replaced, and that the part was ordered and on the way. I put up some resistance to this as I had noticed the water damage, but was overtly assured that this would be the best way to proceed. after another week, the part arrived, and I got a call notifying me that the truck would be good to go by the end of the day. A few hours later, I got another call letting me know that water had been found in the rack and pinon, and the whole thing needed to be replaced. This was frustrating as I had started the process off by stating that. The part was ordered, and that took another week or two to arrive. Finally, after more than a month, they called to alert me that the truck was good to go. However, when I showed up at the shop around 30 minutes before closing time (I had to leave my work early), I was shocked to find the service power steering message, and several dummy lights lit on the dash of my truck. It turns out that they had not calibrated the part right, and I had to wait another few days before everything was finally fixed. I appreciate that this is a local shop, and I want to support. However, little to no effort was made to account for my lost time, or the fact that my provided insights were ignored from square one. The reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because they were nice enough to provide a warranty exception as I was about 100 miles over my 36,000 initial warranty. My truck is now ready for its 45,000 mile tune up, and I am sadly looking elsewhere for service after this experience. Proceed with caution.

It took one bad service appointment that lasted a day to replace a shifter, to lose a customer in the future. I will not contact Jim the service director. The only person that was able to help me whatsoever was the same service consultant that had helped me 4 months before. When he had told me I had an extended warranty. After that the consultant that had tried to get over kept saying “you should’ve came and asked me, I would’ve told you it was covered.” I replied “Why did you say the shifter is sixty bucks on voicemail” Fell silent. Said it again, still quiet. Yesterday evening he said it was under warranty on the phone. This is how they do it its a last second changes to get everyone an extra buck in there of your money. Certainly will be moving on to a make with better service in the future. Really too bad I like the car, the service killed it for me.

My husband had been wanting to buy a truck for a really long time. He had called several other dealerships and received horrific customer service from all of them, until Platinum Chevrolet in Santa Rosa. I bought my Z06 Corvette on April 1st 2017. Easiest new car transaction I have ever experienced. First time I have ever felt like a dealer was trying to help me, not screw me LOL. They took care of me in everyway. They got me every discount possible including 0 0 finacing and a $2000 credit for being a loyal Corvette customer based on a 1966 Corvette I had bought 29 years ago! I didnt even know that was available! They made sure I got every cent back from Cheverolet that I could. Since that time they have een there for 100% of the time to answers questions, schedule service and perform minor warranty repairs. If there is a proble they fix it. I recommend you shop around to experience the other guys but make sure you Buy at Platinum Cheverolet. Two thumbs up and Five stars

Whew. Too long to go into detail. I came into the dealership hoping to get 2 things quickly resolved: 1. Diagnose and fix the suspension. 2. Check engine light was on, please diagnose and fix. Was expecting to have the work done quickly and expected that it would probably cost more than most places because everyone knows dealerships are expensive, but you are paying for expertise and the right parts. Right? It took almost 2 months and 6+ phone calls and two trips to the service department to even get an estimate for the work, which was finally unprofessionally scratched out in an email, not even on company letterhead. I do feel like I now have a better idea of what caused the check engine light (a single broken screw! $2500). Im not any clearer about the suspension. The cost of the two repairs was estimated at 7k, after swinging around wildly...first $700, then $3000, then almost 7k. I have zero confidence in Platinum Chevy to be able to offer an honest, accurate assessment. I feel like I now have to get a second opinion before I do anything. Theres more to say, but Id rather just let it go at this point though and GO ELSEWHERE! One last thing, I notice as I read though the other reviews here that none of the negative reviews are even addressed...they team only seems to respond to 5 star reviews; this points to a problem if the team is ignoring everything else. Might explain the poor service.

When I checked in my 2019 Corvette Grand Sport for service, I was informed that The computer printer is down My service tag was written by hand. I delivered the car at 10:00am. I waited until 1:00 to get the phone call my car was ready. I called the service department. I was then informed that the car had never even been sent in to be serviced. I told the service person that I needed the car in one hour. After waiting in the parking lot for an hour, I saw my car being pulled up to the delivery area. I waited for another ten minutes and did not receive a phone call. I finally had to walk in and request my car. I was finally able to pick up the car at 2:00pm. Absolutely the worst service experience I have ever had, ridiculous waste of time.

I was very disappointed with the service last Monday. When I picked up the car, the malfunction warning light was on, and the clutch felt sluggish. A few times on my way home, I had difficulty shifting, but since the car had just been serviced, I chalked it up to not getting my seat adjusted properly. Two days later, when I was scheduled to return to turn off the warning light, the car wouldnt get in gear. I finally made it back for servicing, thanks to help from AAA, only to find out that the shaft from the clutch master cylinder came off from the lock on the clutch pedal housing! Clearly this did not just happen while the car sat in the driveway, and I could have had serious problems on the drive home. Why was I sent home with the car in this condition?

Previous experience w/ a man named John was amazing, his customer service was fantastic, This visit I was very disappointed, not as friendly, I had requested my tires be rotated as they are w/ every oil change, & they did not rotate my tires due to not finding the key lock for my rims, A simple phone call would have solved that problem instead of me getting home & then reading on my receipt that my tires were NOT rotated. I didnt get a status call about how my car was, I had to reach out to ask. The services is just not the same. Defiantly can use improvement. I know ppl get busy but the customer service should still be important.

Brought my 2015 Chevy Cruze in a month ago to have them fix an oil pan leak. Messed with the serpentine belt for no reason which overheated my car on the freeway. They towed my car back and messed up my bumper loading it. Brought it in again a week ago for a shakey idle just for them to give us a quote for $700 worth of parts alone. Decided to replace them myself but it didn’t fix the issue at all. Brought it back a second time for them to tell me I need a new head gasket which will be $3000. Horrible. So unsatisfied. Not coming back.

This review was originally going to be a one star review, but Platinum Chevrolet was able to turn it around. I brought my Volt in for a factory recall issue and routine maintenance with the original estimated time being a few hours to complete. The service department went from one error to another leading to my vehicle being in the shop for nearly three weeks. Livid, I complained to upper management about the poor standards of service and care being shown to my vehicle. In the end, Todd Barnes and Jim Hasapis stepped in to make it right. They understood the issues and vowed to correct them and did me right. These errors were preventable so it is my hope that Mr. Hasapis turns around these systemic problems for future customers, but in the end, if brought to their attention, I know theyll do what is right to turn around a bad situation.

Ive been in a few times, and have not been greeted on more than one occasion, even though there were employees standing at the counter who saw me come in. Ive had some work done on my car, and unlike other dealers I have dealt with, they dont wash or vacuum my car. I was very well taken care of by the service department. I live in Bodega bay (40 minutes away) and they did everything I asked for to accommodate me.Courteous and efficient.On the other hand, the cost for an uncomplicated repair was about twice what I think it should have been.Follow-up 6 mos later the check engine light came on. I had the oil changed as well. Total charge was $89. The chk engine light was related to a programming recall which they fixed for free. I am getting a good feeling about this service department.

I took my car, 2016 Camaro with ~53000 miles, to the dealer with a laundry list of problems. The dealership seemed to address all my issues but most were not fixed. My service advisor was prompt and got back to me fast. My issues were not any particular problem but ranged from electrical to mechanical. To be honest, this was my first and probably my last American car. I love this car when it works but with the rattles, that cant be pinpointed to, the software/hardware problems (andriod auto to the whole head unit freezing up, thats the newest issue now), and engine misbehaving, I rather buy a 10 to 15 year old Japanese car than a new American car. If I wanted this many problems, I would buy German and if I bought a German car I would buy a Toyota Supra.

Avoid at all cost if you value common sense.just a few items of note to prepare yourself when visiting the dealership:*salesman (at least the one who we dealt with) were not aware of the most basic tenets of the lease agreement, and was very disingenuous when it came to negotiating. As in we negotiated a final price only to get to the financier and have him tell us about all the taxes the salesmen failed to mention which greatly increased our month-month cost.***The financier was great. Knowledgeable and genuinely a great human being. made right the mistakes of the salesman while calling him a few choice names in the process.*purchasing/leasing a vehicle is a time consuming process (no matter where you go). Some dealerships offer water and snacks while you wait. Here, our salesman drank water and ate snacks while we waited for pricing/negotiating without regard to offer anything to my 6 mo. pregnant wife after being there for 4 hours.* service center: just avoid. small, disorganized and chaotic. First service, i was told my vehicle was ready to go. it was. however, they blocked it in on all sides and and it took using the panic button to find way out in the lot.

Worst place I have ever been. Bought my truck from them, then brought it in for an oil change and everything was working fine. When I got it back the tire monitor service light came on and wouldnt go off. Brought it in 2 more times trying to fix it and after 3 hours off sitting they told me it would be 300 dollars to fix something that was working when I got here. Never again will i do business with this place and I will never bring another car here. So over 300 bucks they just lost a customer and I will tell everyone I know never to come here.

Just bought my new Bolt from Platinum. The wife and I couldnt be happier with the car. I dont normally write reviews but we had such an excellent experience I wanted to share. We were helped by both Ken and Dean. Both gentlemen couldnt have been more informative and friendly. Its not your typical car buying experience. Everyone is so great and treats you like family. The managers Jerry, Mark and Jim all were excellent to work with. They kept my five kids entertained and answered my numerous questions with lots of patience. Nicki in finance even gave my daughter a job to help with which she was ecstatic to do. Overall I couldnt be happier. I should also mention that I work in the industry and I know what a well managed dealer should look and function like.

I was looking for a car. Don came up to me and help me out on some ideas. He took the time to help me to show all the features of the car and told me he would help with whatever he can. I know that is what a salesperson is supposed to do. But having just come from another dealership, the other salesperson at the other dealership didnt really seem to care to bother. Highly recommend ti go to Don!

The staff at this dealership are the best Ive encountered at any dealership. They salespeople are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, intelligent and very respectful. And....Surprised surprise! They actually have salespeople that are educated on their electrici vehicles, unlike the local Nissan dealers.
