The spices are ok- not great. Expensive in comparison. Their cinnamon is really good. But, for the price, I can get cinnamon anywhere else. The staff is hit and miss on friendliness. The store is clean but very uninviting. It also seems like the store front is too large for the inventory.Sadly, you wont feel very welcomed here. I had a run in with the founder of Penzeys Spices. What a hateful man. Sad. Made me realize that good cinnamon is not worth the trouble here. I do not shop places that are not respectful of people. I will try The Spice House and Savory Spice from now on- I hear they actually like their customers.

Penzeys is a hard brand to find in stores...but this is a Penzeys store, not a shelf section in someone elses. Always completely satisfied with the product, now the people at this store totally compliment the spices. Nice, friendly, clever banter keeping the conversation interesting, not dry sales folk. Im a new regular customer.

Ive been using Penzeys Spices now for ever since they opened the doors sad that we cant go indoors and smell the good smells everything is online right now can I cook with all of their good stuff

My favorite spice store. They have everything ; herbs, spices, blends and more. The staff is very nice and very knowledgeable about their goods. Prices are very fair for the high quality herbs and spices they have.

My oldest brother had introduced me to Penzey’s Spices way back when ordering by mail was my only option, I was quite thrilled to find there was an actual brick and mortar store just a few hours from my home after my last move.They have some really and truly great spices, and I’ve sworn I’ll never have to be without their Vietnamese Cinnamon...it’s fantastic to bake with!

The spices, herbs, and seasonings at Penzeys are the best Ive had. They are, in many cases, cheaper than what you get at the grocery store, even while the quality is higher. Plus, the owner of Penzeys shares my political and social values. Im happy to spend my money with Penzeys.

Sign on the door says open till six, curbside pick up. Busy signal from 5pm till 6pm. Im assuming they get a jump on their endoif day routine by Taking the phone off the hook.

I love this company! Their herbs and spices are excellent, their staff is knowledgeable and friendly, theyre always discounting items - or giving them away for free! They hire a lot of older people. Theyre incredibly dedicated to their message, which is that Cooks can heal the world. This is a company that walks their talk. GO VISIT THEM. You wont be disappointed!

As an enthusiastic cook Im always on the lookout for spices that are not quite usual, and so far I have found them all here. I like that they offer different amounts so I dont end up with a big supply of more exotic spices that I dont use that often. The shop is spacious and well organised.

Great place with a lot to do! Crowded but worth it to stop by and walk through! And of course you have to see the sea lions! Lots to do for every age in your family!

Was never even acknowledged, I had my arms full of spices and I had only gone in to buy one! The two women were face to face behind the counter having a loud conversation, i originally thought she was ringing her up!! They never once stopped talking to help me, even when i loudly told my sister we needed to see is Safeway had it. They used to have awesome customer service, greeted you when you walked in, offered help too. They didnt even try to ask me if they could help after i put my stuff down and walked out, I did turn around and they were both smiling. I work in customer service and these two would be replaced!!

If you love spices then you will love the store. The variety is overwhelming to say the least. You will find just about any spice that you could desire. Quite amazing for a local shop.

Ordering spices online is fine sometimes, but its nice to be able to walk into a shop and sniff and sample spices, seasonings, and blends. Good selection of spices plus lots of custom Penzeys blends and some surprising finds like a robust shallot salt and freeze-dried minced garlic that manages to maintain so much of that fresh garlic taste and smell. The staff here is friendly and on my first visit they honored an expired freebie coupon. I like their email blasts because they frequently include coupons for free spices in-store or online. Nicely done!

The ladies are very knowledgeable and always helpful. If they dont have what youre looking for they will refer you to another local shop. Keeping customers happy is their goal
