This was the ONLY place in Santa Rosa that had all the electrical items I needed in stock. Otherwise I’d have needed to go to multiple big box stores. Ordered on line, got a text and email when ready. In and out in a minute. Friendly. Prices just fine.

Great help finding products and recomendations for cleaning. Very helpful and wanted to be sure we were getting everything we needed.One concern is the aisle are very narrow.

I just visited your store on Yulupa Ave in Santa Rosa CA. As I entered an employee asked if I needed any help and I said point me in the direction of the lightbulbs. A second employee followed me to the lightbulbs and stood there while I made my selection. As I started to walk back to the checkstand he said can I help you with anything else?. I said no. He kept following me, and I started to get uncomfortable. I stopped and said are you following me? He said no, just seeing if you need any help. I said I already told you no. Do you think Im going to steal something?. He replied Well, you never know. This is what were told to do. So I ask: is it ACE corporate/company policy to treat your customers like thieves?

I went in looking for a water pressure gauge. Asked about it at the front. They directed me to the right place. A couple minutes search found the gauge. Very helpful staff. And they had what I needed.

Nails & Screws. Brooms, Mops, & a huge assortment of cleaning supplies. Gardening supplies. Door knobs and deadbolts. Hasps & Locks. Chain by the foot. And so much more! If they don’t have it, they will order it.5 stars don’t do them justice.

I moved into a new apartment recently and needed a fan I could place in the window to bring in air from outside at night. I came into Ace hardware (2nd visit in my life) because Im trying to make a conscious effort to buy from smaller businesses instead of big box chains like Home Depot. I immediately saw the fan I needed next to the door upon entering, grabbed it, and checked out. It became very obvious the first few nights that this wasnt working because the base was too wide to get close enough to the window so I had to order a box fan specific to placing in windows. I brought this fan in over a weekend just 13 days after purchasing it only to be surprised that they wouldnt accept it back because of a tiny green sticker saying non-returnable. Their excuse was that they didnt want people buying fan and air purifiers in light of the heat waves and fires temporarily and then returning them.How exactly does 13 days (and only this long because I needed to come in over a weekend) constitute abusing a return policy? A policy which, mind you, says NOTHING about non-returnable items anywhere on the receipt; It simply says that items must be brought in within 30 days in new condition. So after discussing this with the clerk, Im dismissed and told to call John or Tom (something like that).I call that week and this person begins arguing with me about quality and that they have many items throughout the store with these stickers.When did quality not also dictate that you clearly make customers aware upon checking out that such a thing exists? When did quality dictate that you dont also explicitly write these terms on your return policy and on the receipts?I asked how any other returnable item is cleaned then? The person I spoke with argued with me how am I supposed to sanitize a fan in a box?---he never did answer how he sanitizes anything else that is returned. Are you seriously suggesting that every other returned item comes without a box?I happen to be a scientist of many years and I am the last person you should attempt lecturing on quality standards and sanitation. If it was that big of a deal that you thought I would be bringing COVID-19 germs in on a fan then you could have let the box sit in the back for a couple weeks. Do you think these boxes also arrive sanitized from the truckers who deliver them? Please dont kid yourself that youre fooling anyone. Every store also budgets in a loss for returned items---EVERY STORE.Ultimately I was told I could come in for store credit--no thanks, Ill pass! In fact, Ill be permanently taking my business back to Home Depot.

I didnt know places like this existed anymore. I just moved to this area in Santa Rosa and have been there twice. Both times the workers were so helpful. I had to replace a battery for my car key and it was difficult to open, the guy patiently did it for me (without me even asking) and was so nice about it. Definitely a store I can recommend!

Parts I needed

I have rats in my garage, and now in my heater closet. We live on Matanzas Creek in Santa Rosa. I was using spring traps and they wore out after one catch. I went into ACE looking for bait to Kill them. I was directed to a metal container open at one end. It looks like a can with a straight bottom. At $50 I was reluctant to buy one. I returned a few weeks later and decided to buy one...Am I ever impressed!!! I have caught 4 rats and today alone 5 mice!!!! I am using peanut butter!!!! Amazing invention. Uses batteries...A big Thankyou to the store employee that directed me to,this great product!

I was out enjoying the night with a friend decided to go to Ace Hardware to get a keychain walked in was stare down by the cashier / worker as if we were going to rob the place granted we were wearing beanies and looked I guess a menace to him but nonetheless he treated us as if we were criminals as we just walked in the establishment. To think that he would judge us by our appearance and not by the people that we are was quite disturbing I think that he should be reprimanded for his actions.
