This location is probably one of the smaller ones I have ever been to, but they still have all of the necessities-and it beats having to get caught up in the Wal-Mart crowd. I love the bakery, deli, hot soups..and those subs, though!! They have a cult following for a reason. Very clean, and all the employees (especially the cashiers) are *always* super friendly.

Stop here on my way home from work if I need something. Never had any issues.I stopped by tonight and Sergio and Renee were wonderful at checkout. Renee also helped me locate something in the aisles. Thank you both for the great customer service!! 👍They were starting to get busy at checkout but they called up more cashiers to get the lines moving. Great job!

Self checkout needs better instructions, especially if using own bags. Also how to negotiate the pay process.

Great store. Last day today, November 11. Opening at their new location down the street tomorrow morning.

There is supposed to be a mandatory mask requirement for all employees yet the guy who cut my deli meat had no mask on working directly with food! There also supposed to be a required mask requirements for the city of Sarasota which is where this store is located,and although they have signs none of their management says anything to all the people walking around with no masks on! I had not gone to this Publix in a couple of months since they had also taken up all of their arrow rows and social distance lines,but they did finally put thise back.This store has had issues for the last year,especially the deli. I have found many rude deli people,they cut giant pieces when you ask for thin cut and tell you they cant cut it thin! Tonight with the no mask employee and a manager right in the area not saying anything to them was my final time to ever shop there.

This is a great store but more than that I wanna give a shout out to Jonathan. He helped me find an item for my uncle who needed it for medical purposes and he was so thoughtful, patient and kind. The amazing employees here are what really makes this such a great place to buy my groceries. Thank you Jonathan.

I love Publix they have great customer service they ask to assist if they see you searching and they have a great selection of vegan items. I cant find the golden crust vegan beef patties but it didnt make my experience any less satisfactory.

Unlike Walmart, which is glad to break unjust oppressive laws, Publix plays into USDA regulations prohibiting the poor from using their EBT SNAP card on online orders, despite long term attempts to get them to stop the oppression. This store, and their new store, is not welcome in my neighborhood. There will be consequences to using positions of power for the oppression of the poor.

I had an issue with some of their product not being fresh (only time this happened). Their management made it right and then some. Exceptional example of customer service.

I was surprised to find my favorite lasagna in the family size!! I can NEVER find it! The cashier was extremely helpful and absolutely amazing with my daughter😊

I have always found this Publix location to be very well organized in all departments. Most employees share a smile and are very helpful. I was surprised to find such negative reviews and hope that Publix will address them. As far as someone waiting 30 minutes to have a sandwich made....I don’t think I would have been as patient/

This is the new Publix at 501 Beneva Rd.Very nice new store. Parking is a problem especially for handicap shoppers.

Cashier called me a marshmallow because I didnt hear her at first. Ok. Didnt need to go for my weight (lost 25 lbs and am close to my goal weight so maybe Im being sensitive), but I know its stressful out there in this pandemic so Im not going to call her out by name.Anyway this Publix is fine otherwise. Stock is smaller than most other Publix stores in the area though so I only go here if I need to pick up cat food and a few things.Ill just drive the extra 10 mins to go to another Publix in the future. Nicer cashiers and better selection.

Would give zero stars if I could. Went to the deli on my lunch break to order a sandwich. I was the only one at the sandwich section. I ordered 1 sandwich with just mayo, mustard, meat, cheese, and pickles and it took the girl over 30 minutes to make the sub. Her whole line was un-stocked and she would walk in circles trying to find the things she needed to re-stock it with. Sandwich tasted horrible. There was also a very noticeable rancid odor coming from the deli area... I will never order pre-made food from this location again! Recommend driving the extra distance to find a nicer Publix.

This Publix is just okay but its the only location that Ive seen so far of not being remodeled or move into a newer location. Even the bathrooms are its original look from likely when this place opened. Many other Publix locations in the area that are more brighter and updated. The light turning left on Beneva was bad waited long so had to go to another exit needs fixed.

Best super market around. Cost a bit more, but it is CLEAN!

Publix is such a great store! Every Publix I have ever been in has been terrific, including this one . Yes, there is a price to pay... About 11% on average... But great products, great service, clean stores and well organized

The most expensive grocery store I have ever been to. 6.99 for four rolls of toilet paper and 7.49 for four boneless skinless chicken breasts.

Yesterday I bought a roasted chicken that was on sale for $6.50. It was the smallest roasted chicken Ive seen! I wish I could post a photo.

The grocery manager was amazingly helpful. They were out of my moms favorite chicken wings and I started to panic. He asked the deli to fry some wings for me and I had them in my hands in less than five minutes. It wasnt even his department! He thought they would take longer and even offered for Publix to have them delivered to my home. He went above and beyond. He doesnt even know how grateful I am about his amazing service!

Lettuce bags almost always starting to turn brown, no matter how far out the date is.

I had ordered online from a different Publix and since I accidentally put my email wrong they did not put together my (in my opinion) was a decent size order for the deli.I called at 9 am and spoke to the Deli manager Ron placed my order with him and asked to have it by 3 pm. Even though my order was supposed to be in 24 hours before pick up he took care of it and everything was perfect and ready when I picked it up! He never even acted like he was at all bothered by my request. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Employees are always willing to help. Its a small Publix but they have a good variety of products. The only thing they dont have is sushi, other than that, great place to do grocery shopping.

Store has everything you want. My sister loves it. I was very angered when I saw they sell magazines that promote lies about politicians. Only in Florida. I have not seen that elsewhere. They should ban any magazine that aids fake news in politics, period. We have enough true stuff being thrown at us that makes us upset enough.That is my opinion. They sell the Globe that has a lying headline that Hillary was “caught taking bribes”. Trash. The chain needs to take a stand and not accept trash magazines that instigate and lie.

Great service but your prices are higher than most other stores, especially organic food. As I have shopped around your meat is 2-3 dollars more. Yogurt is another item that is higher.

Terrible Publix for subs and getting worse. Always very slow, however yesterday my husband picked up two subs and returned home with brown lettuce and day old veggies on the sandwiches. Really, these were bought in the morning, left over from yesterday.NEVER AGAIN. To many other places to shop.

Place needs to be remodeled desperately. I live a block away .2 of a mile and I don’t enjoy having to shop there. Most of the time the produce isn’t fresh and the selections are limited compared to other Publix’s in town. The floor is gross and stained. It reminds me a lot of the Ringling public before they tore that down. Just doesn’t feel clean in there. Sometimes I go there because it’s so close, but most of the time I will drive to another publix or another grocery store that’s 3.5 miles away.

As usual, I was able to find everything on my list. The cashier and the packer were courteous did a fine job.

Sunday afternoon. 1 person working in deli. Been in line for 20 mins and still 4 more ppl in front of me. They arent even using the number tickets which leads to a whole lot of confusion about whos next when you have this many ppl in line. Number they are on is 41. I have # 67. If they at least went by the numbers I could keep shopping. Filthy store.

Shopped here for the past five years and the manager chases me out the door thinking I stole my two items. Gave him my receipt. He looked at it and handed it back. No apologies. No explanation. I highly recommend you ensure the managers watch you pay for your items so they don t chase you down like a common thief. They lost a long time customer tonight!!!

Im a regular customer to this Publix. Ill give you all one star this time because of the cashier Sandi. In another time, Id have given you a four star. However, I was just there. I went through the fast line with 3 or 4 items over 10 and the cashier Sandi was very nasty to me and its sad to say that its not the first time she has been nasty to me. This time she went far.Furthermore, She said This line is 10 item or fewer you can leave you groceries on the belt now, but next time Ill ask you to remove them and move them to a different line. I did apologized to her because I didnt notice that was a fast line, but instead of her accepting my apologies, she kept ongoing demanding me to bag my own groceries because she couldnt do it and she didnt have a bagger to do it. I felt humiliated because this incident happened in front of two other customers.I really hope that the manager Sarah which I spoke to over the phone do something about this, so this same humiliate incident doesnt happened to anybody else.Sincerely,Yunia Oporto

I shop at this Publix all the time and they have really gone downhill in the last 6 months. Floors are dirty, stock is poor and some of the employee need to be replaced.

The sandwich maker with the blonde hair i believe her name is Monique she makes the best Publix sub in the state of Florida and I would travel out of my way just to get a sandwich made by her!! AMAZING

This store is close to the community we visit our aunt in is very convenient. The entire staff is always so friendly and willing to help.

Every time I order a damn sub, it’s like no one reads the comments or ever puts ****** condiments on the subs? Are you guys running short on mayo?!? Because I’ll call someone for you...I ask in the comments this time “please do not forget the extra cheese and the condiments” I payed extra for the extra cheese...I do this everytime and it’s like you put less and forgot all the condiments which I feel like was done on purpose. Waited for fresh fried chicken at the deli, 7 minutes get the chicken, get home, their oil was way past good, got sick.

This location has a very unusual layout. Didnt care for it. Items were hard to find and selection was minimal. Not my favorite Publix by far.

My regular supermarket. The prices are a bit high but the workers are good and have going there for a long time so I know where stuff is. The deli is great, if you need a really large order Bubba is your goto guy. I will often pre-order a dozen or more fried chicken meals for my workers and they will have them waiting for me. Their chicken is awesome! Last thing stay away from the produce it is twice as much as Detwilers down on university.

We are here on vacation for my Bday trip. On May 19th at 11:40am we stopped here to get a few things. Felt extremely uncomfortable. We had beach shorts, and tank tops that showed our tattoos. Upon check out we had 1 manager (hispanic looking w glasses) 2 cash registers down from us hiding behing rack, staring at us hardcore as if we were stealing something and another one (Caucasian) pacing back and forth looking at us. I stared back and smile but the entire time we were checking out one was staring at us. Made us extremely uncomfortable. The only reason Im giving a 2 star was bc the bag lady was beyond nice and professional. She was kind and wished me a Happy Bday.

Shame on you Publix Most seniors shop at these stores alot are on fixed incomes some are not, what gives you the right to charge $18 for a watermelon. Most older people dont like change, so they wont go to other stores, makes me sick, you charge 3 times more at your stores then other places because of greed, because you sure dont care about the people in your neighborhood
