Marty and his crew are the best! I highly recommend them because he repeatedly went above and beyond for me in diagnosing and repairing my 20 year old Wellcraft with an Optimax outboard which had sat for a long time. He even helped tow my boat across the river and picked up my trailer which had a broken spring which he installed. I was out of state for part of the work and Marty was extremely professional and demonstrated the highest integrity and customer service throughout the whole process. He serviced my boat both on my lift at home and on the trailer at his shop. I will go back to Marty without a doubt in the future. Thank you Marty!!

Would not repair my 15 hp outboard Evinrude because he said the carburetor would need to be cleaned or possibly replaced:/

I called to have my boat worked on late in the afternoon one day and David showed up the following morning. He quickly diagnosed what was wrong with my boat and was able to get the parts to fix it. I asked if he would be able to service my engine in the future and he was actually able to do it same day! Absolutely incredible people. David was kind enough to respond immediately to my phone call to look at my jet ski with a newly rebuilt engine installed at a Yamaha dealer up north at a cost of over $8K. Trying to find anyone to work on pwc after someone else (dealer) has messed it up isn’t easy. I was lucky to find Seas The Day and David. I was able to get over $3k from dealer thanks to David documenting and taking pictures of all the work they messed up or just didn’t do. Between helping with cost by reducing labor ( to make it work) and just being open with everything, he has truly been a saving grace. The repairs that were needed on my boat, included a complete overhaul of motor and drive train. He also cleaned the boat up, so it looks like new. I am new to the boating world and Dave and his team were absolutely amazing… I live out in Myakka city and most of the boating people I talk to said mobile mechanics would not make that trip out there and if they did it would cost a lot of money… Dave hearing that I was new to boats and this is my first boat did not hesitate to say he would come on out and help me out…They came out and helped me get my boat up and running and answered all questions I had and I continue to work with him… When people say it’s hard to find good people out there well if you want good people give him a ring… Dave and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and know exactly what they are doing… They don’t beat around the bush and they want to do things right…I highly recommend them and I will be recommending them to all of my friends and families who have boats

David did a pre-purchase boat inspection for us and he did a great job. He came over with only 30 minutes notice and did a thorough evaluation. He has great knowledge and we were very confident buying the boat after he gave it a thumbs up. He also helped us with a market price evaluation. Highly recommend!

SCAM!!! Started off sounding great, was priced about the same as other marinas. Brought it to get serviced and carbs rebuilt for around 800, my oil was over filled by them and spilled all over inside the engine, then 1300 dollars later i pick it up and take the boat out and see oil everywhere, was told to bring it back. Meanwhile it sat at the shop for 2 days and wasnt touched because noone was at the shop any of the times i stopped by, finally i was just going to get my boat since noone was working on it and was told no he was on his way, needless to say he vacuumed out the oil and pretty much said he doesnt think its leaking to take it back out, well its full of oil everywhere again. Now my engine was not leaking when i brought it there but is now is leaking everywhere and didnt get fixed when brought back. I was also told he would rewire my trolling motor which wasnt touched and the safety switch tested, he said the switch was good but when asked to show me where it was he couldnt find it and said there isnt one on this motor, so got caught in a lie. Then i got several calls back to back asking me to come get my boat so he can get another boat in the bay, first off you havent even finished my repairs but asked me to come pick it up. BIGGEST WASTE OF $1300 EVER. Now i get to take it to sara bay where hopefully it gets fixed. However the guy that was there to help dave out did do a good job from what i can see, but for the 2000 ill end up spending i coulda bought a new engine. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. This photo is the first time i took it out after the 2nd time being at theyre shop and 1300$ and i was told it doesnt leak

David went beyond my expectations as a marine mechanic. He was knowledgeable and quick to solve a deep rooted issue that many would not think of. He was on-time, friendly and worked fast. Seas the day was fantastic. The boat had sat for two years and I had already fixed a lot of issues, but I still could not get it to run. The mechanic diagnosed my problem within minutes where as I had wasted a day with no success. It was fixed quick and they answered a lot of other questions I had. They recommend a bunch of things to do because it had sat. Bottom line, they saved me a bunch of time and money. My experience was great.

Seas the Day is Great!After an exhaustive search, I found the boat that was exactly what I wanted, but it was 4 hours away. So, I spent a day driving to Sarasota to see it, and it looked as good as I imagined. Before putting a sizable amount down, I wanted it surveyed, so I found Seas the Day on Yelp and made a call. David was a champion.The next day, David traveled to Sarasota, inspected the vessel, engine, and trailer and found a few things, but most of all, it was a good deal. So David and I made a plan for him to pick the boat up and take it over to his shop to do the necessary issues (mostly with the trailer) so that I could trailer it to northeast Florida.The plan, timing, and estimate were all in alignment, and I went down to pick up the boat. His crew was finishing up and as I was climbing around on the boat, I noticed that a large, unhinged cushion in the cockpit was missing. Seas the Day did just that. David contacted the previous owner, identified the cushion maker, and had the cushion made, then shipped up to me. All this at their cost (Afterwards, I agreed to pay the shipping.)After attaching the trailer to my car, David and crew checked and cleaned all the lights, installed a more secure safety chain, and we prayed for a safe trip. Five hours later I arrived home and checked the trailer’s hubs- cool as could be.Conclusion: Seas the Day is great and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone.

This company took advantage of an elderly man who is disabled. Charged an exorbitant fee and promised to come back and install new spark plugs which were already paid for and never came back. They seized on an opportunity to scam someone and ran with the money. Do not use this company!

I had previously taken my boat to siesta key marina for an electrical issue, they were trying to overcharge me like they had previously. When i took my boat to David he was very courteous and professional, he made time to see me later in the evening since i work late. I brought it in for the service and wiring issue - He got everything done when he said it would and even took care of issues i was unaware of, the reason i knew he found something else that was wrong because my gas mileage improved and overall performance, the strange sound was gone as well, Thanks again

I feel these guys could be really good. Unfortunately my experience wasn’t to good and at this point I feel like I could have flash that $200 down the toilet. So I dropped off a boat I was hopping to purchase. Asked to have the computer info pulled and check on one of the engine. Got a call. The engine is busted and it overheat. Well I went in to pick up the boat asked for the computer info the there was no info except the engine is overheating. We know that before we allied in the door. Checked the engine. And the engine actually needed a flush and that was it. So I texted the owner if I could take the boat back and pull the codes to see why the check engine is on. No reply to my text.Sad.

Bought a Robalo Cayman and had Dave out to do the pre-buy inspection. Was very impressed with him so after the purchase I took my boat to his shop and had him do the 300 hr engines service, a full detail and also had him install a jack plate and power pole. Everything turned out great. Dave is a super honest a friendly guy and his crew is hard working. Will be bring him my business again and would happily refer. Great job Dave!

Called for a motor inspection after purchasing boat. Stood up first day, but someone came out next day and was very apologetic about not showing up. After few minutes realized boat motor was in dire shape and would be better to bring to shop for full inspection. Boat sat at shop for 3 weeks before I finally picked it up with still no inspection letter. Had to chase the company down with multiple phone calls to get status. Always told to expect the work to be done tomorrow. Heard every excuse in the book from too much work, lost your number, lost company phone, email wasnt working... At least we were not charged anything for this total waste of time. Save yours and find someone else to look at your boat. Cannot imagine hiring to do any repair work.

David came out, was prompt and made a good diagnosis about what was wrong with my Honda Outboard. He ordered parts and came back after they came in and completed the repairs. I’m a military guy stationed out of town, and needed some work done on the bilge, engine, and power pole.The guys as Seas the Day were super responsive, got the skiff in to their shop in no time, and continued giving updates throughout the process. No snow job here...Dave will be straight up and fair...what needs to be done to make sure your boat is working and working right. The Worst place ever!! No communication from owner or Management!! I looked them up on google. The owner seen to be a cool person. Once he came to my home to do the repairs the Money Nightmares begin!! He charged me 210 dollars for service call and 2 fishing rod holders.He gave me an Estimate of 1500. By the time I took my boat from him being not fixed I paid 3570. Not only that when I first called him he said he had Bible study on Tuesday so he will be able to come on a Tuesday I offered him to take a shower at my home once he finished!! Now he started on my boat then his drill went bad so he stopped and said bring it to my shop!! I live in Tampa FL and his shop is in Sarasota FL . So I took it there at the end of February. This place called us for money to buy the parts for our boat! They came buy the house to pick up money! Now Im confused when you take your boat to a repair shop you dont give money till they finish your boat!! So back to the Story!! Every other day these people calling saying theres one problem after another one so I told my husband to just pick the boat up after months in the shop this was one of the most horrible experiences Ive ever had! Dont take your boat to these people!!! Save yourself a Headache!!!!

I’ve used sea’s the day boat repair now twice the first time I called at 6:30 on a Friday night for my son who is a Commercial fisherman commercial craber . David came out and found the problem. He had to go to west marine to get the part he did not charge us for running me there and had us back out on the water by 8:15 that night ... then last night we got towed in on my pontoon he came out towed us in and fixed the boat this a.m. so that I can take my family out that’s in town . His service is amazing.Being that I’m on disability he gave me the same rate that he would give military veterans, lawn Enforcement,and firefighters. I had a great experience taking my boat to Seas The Day. I called about a problem I was having with my motor and they told me to bring it in the same day. Other marine repair places couldnt even look at my boat for two weeks! Within a couple days, David and his guys had diagnosed the problem with my motor and they went right to work. For the amount of work they did, the price was fair. A week later I had my boat back and will not hesitate to take it back there again for any services I need! Come across Daves shop and this was the best thing that has happened to my boat. I went with a handful of other places first before and it always turned into a nightmare. I was nervous to let someone pick up my 39ft Nor-tech and do work on it. This is an elite class of boat and they treated it with elite care. Seas the day performed service on all 3 engines and even found a couple of issues I wasnt aware of and fixed them before they became an expensive problem. I thought I needed a new $3000 anchor motor but they fixed the problem with a new $12 breaker switch.These guys brought my boat back clean and in great shape in a very quick time frame. I have had numerous questions since the service and they always found time to make themselves available for me even when there was no money in it for them.They are a stand up honest guys and have earned my trust and future business. I was referred to David and Seas The Day Mobile Boat Repair by SeaTow and it was a great referral. I was having an electrical problem with my engine and I had stopped at the marina where I purchased the boat and the high and dry where I store it. Both places told me there was a 2 week + wait. David was able to fit me within 2 days and repaired the issue while he was on the service call. Well Done. Thank you for the referral SeaTow.

The came out on a Saturday night and got us home we thank David and Dennis for stoping what they were doing going and getting there boat coming out and getting us running with a new starter and we could not be more grateful ...the staff were so friendly and helpful .we are going to use them for all of are needs and refer them to all of our friends and family for there boat needs.

You have one more day to return our calls and texts before we leave the detailed review. Youve taken $3,000.00 from us so far to fix an overheating problem. It is still overheating and you were supposed to come back that evening to finish it. No response to calls and texts.

It is obvious this mechanic is too busy and can’t keep his clients straight or even answer his clients phone calls or texts. We asked him to fix 3 items on our boat. 1) Find out what was making the alarm sound. 2) wire Garmin to engine for gauges to read out on screen. 3) check out the pump for the live well. When we got the boat back after 3 weeks NONE of these items were fixed and we were presented with a $1471 bill of items he decided to “Fix”! 2 of the items he said needed to be changed on the annual maintenance anyway. He had COMPLETELY forgotten he had just changed them 6 months prior and charged us again for changing them. When he picked up the boat he had promised to put it on the diagnostic machine the next day. It took 3 weeks of bugging him to get the boat back. He said the engine started smoking. His original opinion on the engine smoking was bad injector. He said it would be $30 a injector to replace. After a week and half he calls and says can’t find codes on the engine. He found a leaky fuel pump which was causing smoking. He finally calls again a week later and says the boat is done. We get a bill for $1471 and theAlarm on the boat still goes off,didn’t wire Garmin to motor and didn’t fix pump for live well. Charged $75 to clean injectors when stated replacement were around $30. Also billed us $120 for fixing bilge pump. When I checked the bilge pumps they didn’t work. Texted Dave and said I wasn’t very happy. He called me on Monday night and said he would be out Thursday to fix bilge pump and hook the Garmin up. A Week later still no show. I fixed the bilge pump myself. Apparently someone disconnected the fuse. Have texted and called to get my $120 back. No response from Dave. Would not recommend this mechanic : (
