Great selection of books including fine art and photography. All reasonably priced, and hood customer service. Be sure to store your books in a cubby up front so your arms don’t get tired! I left with 12 books for under $50!

I didnt know it was a book store when I pulled up to donate some things, but I was really excited upon entering and finding awesome hard copy books for 2 or 3 dollars! Cant edit or change a hard copy with a few cyber clicks!

Really enjoy this location, however, took a star for not having a changing station in the bathrooms. For offering a decent selection of baby/toddler appropriate books, was surprised they didn’t have a changing station available to change children in diapers. Next time I visit I plan to go alone to avoid the inconvenience.

Awesome little bookstore. Stopped by looking for something to read on vacation had everything we wanted, some old classics, and some new names too. Very well organized, you can tell someone put a lot of love into this place, and the prices are unbeatable. You guys rock!

This is a really great Bookstore!All the books are cleaned before going out on the shelves so I dont have to worry about picking up a sticky book.The average price per book is $3.49 per book. but can be less is trade paperback.The whole store is organized by topic and is not hard discovering a new author. I like the Sci-fi & fantasy, and the poetry sections best.The staff are very nice and what you expect from a book store.Great place to buy.Hardly any chairs, this is a browsing store not a place to stop and read. .

I really love this place.We homeschool & I come often with my children.I have encouraged other friends & homeschooling mamas to come also.The selection of books is fantastic and I usually buy all my kiddos’ literature here because the price is right, the atmosphere friendly, and the workers are helpful.Imagine my surprise today when we were harassed during check out by the cashier about not wearing a mask.We are not sick.We had politely social-distanced the entire time we were there.We just wanted to check out, our basket brimming with new-to-us books.Our state is open; vaccines are available for those who want them.We were not putting anybody at risk; we just wanted to purchase our books...but we could not without a mask.Consequently we said, ‘no thank you’ and left without them.Please go back to selling books and being friendly & helpful.

Best used bookstore!!! So many great books. Check immediately to see what color tag is on sale that week. Sometimes they will have 2-3 of the same book, but one has the sale colored tag which means 50% off. Most books in the store are only $3 anyway. Also, join the email newsletter list as that gives you more discounts automatically on your entire order.

I absolutely love this place. It’s crazy inexpensive and easy to find what you’re looking door. The people who work here are so kind. Even if you’re in town just for the beach, stop by here for a few moments. I got a newer hardcover for $7 and most books were $2-3.

Come downhill, the color of the week is mysteriously never present on the week of that color, prices have sky rocketed, some clothes is more expensive then purchasing new! $5.19 for a tshirt with a hole is ridiculous!

This was not like a Goodwill store at all, this was very clean, very organized, and the store clerks were all extremely helpful and very nice.

Rude rude rude customers. I dont know if it was a full moon or what, but wow! Buncha posers trying to act like theyre wealthy shopping...shopping at Goodwill?! Also they want better than retail, new in the package prices for peoples DONATED highly used, somewhat broken stuff. The rude customers I spoke of can have every piece of over priced junk for themselves. I dont want any of it.

Stopped in while on family vacation. Not a large store, but the selection of books was great! Found an arm load of books to buy and would have bought more if we hadnt had to worry about our luggage being over weight. Prices were low and book quality was excellent 👍.

The Goodwill Bookstore off Clark Road in Sarasota is wonderfully organized and full of great bargains! I loaded up on a big bag of finds and somehow managed to lose my iPhone in the process. I made this discovery when I got home so I rushed back to the store, arriving one minute before closing time. The employees on duty - Cheryl and manager Donna - both flew into action helping me search for my phone. Sadly - it was not in the store. Both ladies took my contact information in case it was found. When I returned to my car - I had a hunch to search around the passenger side of my car since that is where I deposited my new book purchases. When I opened my passenger door I found the phone lodged in the bottom of that door pocket. When I checked my messages the first was from Cheryl asking if Id found my phone.These wonderful Goodwill employees went way beyond the call of duty to help me. Thank you Cheryl and Donna!

I love GW bookstores. They are such an adventure. My step-father spent the 80s in the Army in Germany. You should have seen his eyes light up when he unwrapped a German Michelin Road Guide from the exact time he was there. That is just one example of the treasures to be found there. Even the art on the wall is for sale. Just keep your eyes open for something magical to light up your day, and you will find it there.

Whenever we go to Sarasota, our first stop is to buy books. $50 sets our whole family up for the entire week! And before we leave, we donate them back. We love this place!

Favorite bookstore ever!! I found two books actually on my list along with many others. I just dont spend $10-$20 on a book anymore. Here I can get the books I need and theyre so reasonable. I love that you never know what to expect in product and theres always new things. Number one stop for books. Highly recommend.

The Goodwill bookstore is an incredible way to purchase used books at good prices. If youre looking for classics or old books, they start at $3 and go down by $1 every month with a minimum price of $1. They also have a veritable pantheon of literary giants in any other genre. The store also sells movies and games.

I only wish there were more Goodwill bookstores in the area. A wide selection of both hard to find books and new mass market releases is available at this location. Its also a nice spot to just peruse and sit down with a book, as its always relatively quiet and some seating is provided. I always come here first for popular series, art guides and witch books.

Our familys favorite used bookstore. They constantly get new inventory and their childrens selections are great. Typical prices are under $5 and many at $1.99 for paperbacks. You can donate at this location too.

Good books and reasonable prices

Ive only ever shopped the classics section here but they have a lot to offer and the prices are much lower than at half price books. Every time Im in the area I have to stop in because I have found so many amazing classics in great condition for only $3 each. This is a must-visit for book lovers on a budget.

Great place to pick up some good used books. Some of the selection can be limited but since everything is donated and the profits do good in the community it’s worth a browse. Also, I was able to find some music CD’s.

You may not find what you are specifically looking for, but what you will find is so wonderfully priced it won’t matter!

I was not expecting much when I walked in the door so I was especially surprised to find a wide array of titles displayed in a clean well-lit store. The books were in good condition and all in perfect alphabetical order. The hard covers were mostly 3.99. They have some first editions, signed books, and rare books that are priced higher, but still affordable if you are a collector. They have an excellent collection of Newbery winners for young readers and a solid Young Adult section. I easily found ten great books and had to stop myself from getting more. My total came to $34 and that included rounding up to the next dollar to make a small extra donation. I found titles that I have been looking for years at other other much larger used bookstores at less than half the price. I will definitely be back. If you are a visitor to the area, they have plenty of great quality paperbacks if you need a good beach book and forgot to pack one.

Love this place, both to buy and donate

A usually unusual bright spot in Sarasota Florida is slightly tarnished today, im sad to say. After many positive experiences at this store, my family and I had a rare negative, disturbing experience. I have always donated more books than I buy when I come in to this store, as I did this day. Inquired about specials, and I was told about the $5 off a purchase of $25 or more, however when we 4 adults went to check out, I was told the would be only one $5 discount given, and when we mentioned the were four of us, they called the manager who repeated the offer, and then admitted that we could all be treated as separate customers in order to all get the discount. It was beyond odd and petty... but they ultimately, begrudgingly honored the offer.

This is definitely my favorite spot to get books. They have it organized like an actual book store by genre as well an authors last name which makes it super easy to find anything youre looking for specifically
