Called due to a false alarm going off. I have been transferred from person to person without help. Were going on an hour now without anyone helping! How am I to trust a company that does this? If this review was helpful please give it a thumbs up!

I just started working for them. They are a company in disarray. The office culture is crude, and often cruel. There is this old shy man that doesnt talk to anyone, and the supervisor that is training me laughs at his expense and mumbles that he is a effing weirdo under his breath. Very professional, right? There are constant sexual jokes, lots of cursing, and not in charming laid back way, but more like an American Psycho lack of self awareness kind of way. Its just very negative there.Aside from that, my supervisor busies himself trying to improve his stats on an alarm, or finishing a funny story, rather than calling the fire department or the police for a burglary. Several times I was sitting there as he was training me, confused... are you going to call the cops?As of writing this, I am still employed by them, so you shouldnt chalk this up to a disgruntled former employee review. They need leadership.

My family and I have had EMGs service for about 2 years now. Thankfully we have never had a break-in. We have had many false alarms and I can say that the monitoring stations response is very fast. Each person I have spoken to is very polite, courteous and always eager to help. I love the instant text messaging feature since it helps me to know when my children are home from school. I definitely recommend this company!

I have had EMG for 6 months and I have had nothing but a great experience. They did the install on schedule and I have had no issues with the monitoring of my alarm. The rates are great as well. I would recommend this alarm company. Great Job!

Terrible experience! I signed up 3 years ago wanting just simple monitoring and shortly after signing up I had to switch phone providers and this should have been a simple switch, but it wasnt. EMG wanted to charge me more money per month for monitoring and I wouldnt pay it. So, I said that I would like to stop the service and get my money back because I could no longer have the monitoring unless I paid more, they would not let me out of the contract. So, I have paid a lot of money just to have my door chime when people walk in, no monitoring or anything. Horrible company, I would definitely go find another company.

I and my family all have had EMG for many years. Everyone there is fantastic from the salesman who always helps us all with our security questions and system design, the fast courteous operators who call us whenever our alarm goes off, the customer service that works so hard to schedule a skilled technician service call to our convenience. Thank goodness they are always here for us and keeping us safe

Terrible! Customer service will not answer the phone or return a phone call. It is ridiculous that I have to leave a message to have a question answered. Alarm response time is terrible as well. The one night we did have a legitimate scare, they didnt call for 18 minutes. We could have been DEAD in 18 minutes. Save your money and life, go with a different security company, one that answers their phone and calls you back.Update: our contract has finally come to an end and it is a relationship I will not miss. However, one last straw to support my one star review. I contacted the company in December to inquire about the end of the contract. I was advised that the contract would end in February. I called back this month to confirm and to ensure our account was paid in full. After three attempts to get a rep on the phone, I was now advised that the contract auto renews and requires a written request to cancel which then takes 30 days and there would be an additional charged. I explained that I had called in December and was not advised of this requirement. I requested the cancellation in writing and also asked for the charge to be waived since I was not initially informed of this requirement so that I could have taken proper action. They have refused and are saying they have no record of my December phone call. So now I am left to pay them the additional charge because they have absolutely no concept of good customer service.If you are considering this company, PLEASE PLEASE think carefully. Hopefully, there are alternatives out there that dont offer such a negative experience.

I feel so awful recommended this company to my mother. I always try to support the small local company for obvious reasons. Sad that I cant recommend this company anymore. Simple fact is they dont care, otherwise something would have been done for my poor mother already. Suppose for alarms in Sarasota you got to stick with the big trusted names. Obviously zero stars if option was available.

Terrible company! Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. To sum up a long story, I had EMG for over 4 years and resulted in getting ripped off by about $200 in the end. They did not hold up their end of the deal, disconnected my service, and threatened to turn me over to collections do to errors on their part. It took me upwards of six months just to speak to a manager. Tammy, the manager, pretty much let me know that she was going to do nothing to fix the situation and told me to do business elsewhere. She also let me know that if the bill was not paid in full she would notify the credit bureau. I paid the bill but would never do business with this company.The above, is just one problem with EMG. They also had multiple occasions that they received an alarm from my home, phoned me with no answer and neglected to respond the police. Please, do yourself a favor and find another company. There are plenty of alarm companies out there that are far better than EMG.

Something has gone wrong with this company. It use to be a great company. 4 times in the last 2 months they called and said I didnt pay a bill One of those was a credit card which they forgot to charge. i had to call the credit card company to verify that they didnt charge me. While I was doing their job, they cut my service off. I mailed them a check but still dont have service. Im looking for another company to monitor my home.

Not overly impressed with their monitoring station. Had a fire alarm system that had been turned off (powered down) for nine months. Never told the servicing company or the AHJ of the problem.

Pros: The alarm system and response time are great!Downfalls: If you are used to customer reps that are happy you are a customer, be ready for the ones here. Happy is not a word I would use to describe them, maybe annoyed works better.

EMG has been supportive and responsive. When Ive had unusual events, they have always been able to resolve the issues or explain the problem (if resolution has occurred). Their prices are right and we are happy with EMG!

This is a very, very screwed up outfit. The problem, as I see it is, you cannot diffrentiate my home from my business. You call me and tell me theres an alarm, but you cannot tell me which location. We finally get this straightened out. Next - at my home, the system works interrmettently and I get a call telling me there a connection problem, which has been the case since you installed it. You agree to come to fix it, but want to charge me for not doing it right in the first place, then you agree to make a service call for no charge and you never call to set an appointment. When I remind you of what you agreed to, you decline to take care of it, But guess what, youre going to have to come to collect your equipment. A trip anyway, when you could have just come to install it correctly, as you should have in the first place. I will post my experience in every social media location I can think of. The public deserves to know how very bad a company you are.

The alarm system is great, customer service not so much. After a power outage I was having difficulty getting the alarm to set. Two different representatives (Leslie and Angela) were rude and spoke down to me for no apparent reason. They did not fix my problem and told me I needed someone to come out. I said that was fine and asked to speak to a manager, just to voice my concern about the way I was spoken to. The manager was great and was able to fix my issue in a few minutes without belittling me. He said they would listen to the recordings, which I really hope they do. Noone deserves to be talked to like that. If Angela and Leslie cant help a customer troubleshoot an issue without an attitude, working in a call center or customer service in general may not be for them.

Terrible. DO NOT USE THEM!!! Customer service always goes to voicemail with no call back. They have delayed response on calling to notify the alarm went off (they called me 30 minutes later this past weekend when my alarm went off). The equipment always has issues. They care only about quantity not quality. Worst alarm company ever.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I signed up for service with them, then had to move. They told me I could transfer my account to the man who bought my house, but then they did not send him the paperwork to transfer the service. I requested that they send me the paperwork so that I could get it to him and they did not bother to send it to me, just a very large final bill. They are not easy people to work with. AVOID THEM!

Horrendous service. The alarm went off numerous times, one time for 30 minutes straight --- company never called to check on us. Horrible customer service. Pathetic excuses. ADT is $30 more a quarter and I am happily paying it to avoid being with a farce of a business. Avoid this company at all costs.

If I could give a zero star, I would. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT purchase any camera systems from EMG especially Bruce the salesman! First, their advertising price on website is a total hoax. Once Bruce meets with you, he sells you the advertised system of $495 for four cameras for over a thousand dollars! I purchased 8 cameras from them. Nearing close to $3000 when all was said and done. This is for my business. I rely on it all day, every day!! The cameras freeze, blink on and off, are discolored. Emg has replaced many since Junes installation;however, there is ALWAYS a problem with them. I requested them out and my money back. What warranty will I have when they dont even work correctly from day one?? How long will they continue to bandaid the problem? The problem is :Selling a horrible product! My old camera system that was installed 20 years ago by another company are still working perfectly! Im giving one more chance for them to refund and pull all cameras out. If not, Better business bureau and my lawyer are the next steps! I am a fair and honest person, with that being said, i wil say that I do have their alarm system (not cameras) for my residence and have no complaints with that. Maybe they should stick to selling alarm systems.

Stay far away from this company. They sent me to a collection agency without sending me a final bill after cancelling my service with them. They dont seem to want to help me resolve the issue. I cancelled my bill on Feb 13, 2018 with Thea Colonna and then paid what I thought was my final bill and it cleared on Feb 24, 2018. Never got another bill and by end of March, I had a debt collector calling me. They now say my account automatically renewed for 2 years without telling me, but wont send me my contract outlining where it says that. And why would I cancel if I have to pay through May 2019? Thea Colonna did not make me aware of that upon cancellation. Now Stephen Cantwell with EMG tells me to pay up and wont send me the contact. When I asked for a copy of my contract, he only replied if youre not interested in paying the bill, then please contact the collections attorney. I will pay if Im supposed to, but I would hope that they would want to help their customer understand the reason why they are being charged. Theres a reason why this business only gets 2 stars. They make it extremely hard to cancel, poor customer service and unethical business practices sending someone to collections without sending a final bill (if the bill is even valid).

My experience with emg at the moment is horrible. I just transferred my system to another location a few weeks ago. Since the new install one of the sensors keep tripping. Causing Emg to call at all hours of the night. When i dont answer because Im sleeping, the police are called. This is inconvenient to all involved. When i call customer service it always goes to voicemail. They tried to call me back once but i missed the call. Now back to there voicemail. Ugh this is a major issue. Be aware of this companies lack of customer service.

EMG used to be a very good reputable Alarm Company. i have had them for many 10 years. EMG was recommended to me by a good friend who had them monitor his home and three (3) more commercial stores./offices. I also referred many friends and family to them, until they were sold to Alert 360 or Central Security Group(CSG). They (CSG) say theyre the same people, which is true, however they have a totally different business model: Who cares about your loyalty to our (old EMG) company, we are going to double your fees, and there is nothing you can do about it! in the past two weeks, i have been talking staff at Alert 360 or Central Security Group (CSG) office. I have spoken with Madeline, Sheredt, Eunice, Oscar and Ashley, none of whom knew what they are talking about. In fact, in talking to all aforementioned CSG employees, it became obvious that at CSG, left hand did NOT know what the right hand is doing.For not knowing their own CSG policies, procedures and lack of attention to customers need, and for being wrong with stating misleading statements, I took my business to another company who is happy to get my home and office. As did my friend.Loyal customers are hard to come by these days.

I bought a house with an EMG alarm. When I called EMG they stated that (1) they were not accepting ANY new contracts as they are too busy and seriously understaffed and (2) if/when they begin taking new contracts, the minimum obligation is 42 MONTHS at $14.99/month. They wouldnt even send a technician to do a check on the system, despite my offer to pay a full service call. EMG held the contract on this house for over 15 years and now they refuse to service their own alarm system. This is the absolute worst kind of customer service and shows a lack of consistency and trustworthiness. I called another company and they have helped us with a contract on the system. Shame on you, EMG. Beware prospective customers! Youll find nothing but poor customer service here.

Horrible. I cant even go into it. Im so mad right now. They will NOT, I repeat NOT tell you how much it costs if you disconnect all service then change your mind and go back. Their history only goes back 2 years so they cannot see all the years of trouble Ive had with this one sensor. I am so fed up. I get emails all the time about trouble in zone 6. Why have they not fixed it correctly before?? Instead, they tried to get me to sign a new, 2 year contract which would result in 400 dollars extra over 2 years. THEN the guy that comes out and spends 5 minutes switching out a sensor would not charge me. I think Ill forget the whole deal. Just ridiculous and as other have said, I have to leave messages! I dont get a real person to answer the phone! But when you say youre leaving, they switch into high gear and try to get you to stay with a 2 year contract and blah blah blah! Forget EMG I am sorry I ever went with them instead of ADT.

Terrible Company. They do not have enough technicians to cover the huge area they service. I worked there in scheduling and customers were having to wait a week+ out to get service.My boss would yell at customers on a regular basis telling them that the problems they were having could wait.Company was all together terrible.
