A totally different way to enjoy ice cream....and delicious. When we went there, there was one employee. However, he was outgoing and explained the process and was great in his help. Will go again.

So yummy! The texture of this ice cream is unlike any other.. so smooth and creamy, almost like gelato. Toppings and add-ins are fresh and staff is very friendly and informative.

Weve never tried nitrogen ice cream before so kids and adults enjoyed it a lot. I would say the place is unique as well as 🍨 flavors. The stuff is super nice, they explained how it works and were helpful with recommendations. Definitely worth trying

The peanut butter creation was great, and interesring to watch it being made. The ice cream itself was subtle in flavor, but the toppings really made it great so I recommend getting add-ins! Regular with waffle cone was almost $8 so a little expensive but good size and worth checking out! We had no wait (cant say the same about other places around!)

The concept is cool and all, and the employees were incredibly kind and friendly. However, if I didnt know how the ice cream was prepared I would have thought it was mediocre ice cream.

My husband and I first tried Sub Zero ice cream when we moved to Sarasota five years ago. It was amazing! When we got engaged a year ago, I knew I wanted them to cater our wedding. Our wedding was in April this year and the choose-your-own-sundae Sub Zero bar was a HUGE hit!! The guests kept lining up for more, and afterwards we received so many compliments – many people said it was their favorite part! The staff who worked our event were great, very friendly, and professional. When my husband and I served each other our first bite of ice cream (instead of the traditional cake slice) the Sub Zero staff blasted the liquid nitrogen into the air behind us and made for some really fun photos! I loooooove ice cream and for me nothing beats subzero ice cream. My family agrees with me. Love the creamy, velvety, light and smooth texture. The flavors are rich and natural. Lots of options to satisfy most tastes. My favorite is the custard base, cheesecake/caramel/malt flavor with mixed berries. So good! We dont have subzero at home (thank goodness or else we would go broke;) but we enjoy your ice cream several times every time we visit Sarasota.

Sub Zero is worth going once for the experience. They have a vegan option which is more than most ice cream places, so thanks for that.Watching them make the desserts is fun and the pricing is better than similar concept competitors.The place is clean and friendly. Parking can be tight in downtown Siesta Key/Sarasota. If you want a fun experience, they are great.

An off the beaten path gem in Siesta Key. Super pumped that Jamie(?) was handing out samples on our way to dinner. We had to skip dessert at Lobster Pot to head back to Sub Zero. Literally accommodates every palate and diet! Best ice cream EVER!

I ordered an orginal small chocolate ice cream but it was so creamy, rich, and delicious! I loved it!

I tried the original ice cream base, custard base and almond base each with a different flavor. All of them were great! The freezing process is fun to watch and theres quite a variety of flavors to choose from.

Over priced and bad attitudes.

Absolutely Amazing!!! If you’re trying to avoid high-fructose corn syrup and other artificial ingredients this is the place to come. The staff is incredibly patient, upbeat, and just amazing. It’s hard to find a place like this that cares so much and is willing to help me find something delicious and without artificial ingredients.

A very yummy treat. Took our kids here and they really enjoyed watching the ice cream being made. Staff were helpful and friendly and the ice cream was great. Would recommend and will be back.

Great novelty ice cream made fresh each batch in front of you. They use liquid nitrogen to freeze the cream and you can pick from an extensive list of flavors and mix-ins. The ice cream was surprisingly smooth and creamy. It was our first visit and the staff was very informative and friendly.

Excellent treat! Finally a place to get something for everyone😁 They offer ice cream made with almond milk and low sugar flavor plus fresh fruit and even sugar free chocolate syrup! Of course they have full fat regular too with decadent toppings.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service provided at this store. My family and I have visited at least 8 times since we have been on vacation. Last night we waited in line for twenty minutes when they turned off the open sign. Since we arrived at 9:40 (20 min. before closing), we expected to be served. We got up to the front of the line and the teenage boy said Its 10 oclock, well be here all night if we made all of your ice cream. Were closed. We will not be returning. Good ice cream, but the poor service is enough to keep us away. Heading to Olafs where the customer service is much much better.

The best ice cream I have ever put in my mouth. I was there repairing the ice machine and Doug offered me a sample (turned out to be a large, small cup). I was intrigued by their liquid nitrogen set up for making ice cream instantly while you watch. It truly was a memorable experience. Im telling everyone I can that its the best ice cream I ever remember eating!

This is the best ice cream I have ever had in my life! I came across this place while I was on my way to the beach one weekend. There was someone handing out samples and after just one bite, I knew I had to go back. The staff was friendly and the experience was unique. I highly recommend!

Great product except when they are out of original ice cream. That is a fatal flaw in managing a start-up. We won’t be back out if spite. Yes, cutting off our noses to spite our faces but too many years spent advising startups to tolerate Sub Performance.

I’m giving it a 4 because it was a great treat and our boys loved every minute of it. For the Staff at Siesta Key on Monday, June 4th, 2018 @ 8:20pm here is what we experienced.One young man yelled down the line to another, that he jinxed the night because more people came in. The young lady taking our order did not smile once and was very abrasive. During the ENTIRE 15 minute visit, the staff behind the counter had a continuous discussion about how they didn’t want more people coming in. They talked as if there were no customers in the store.All in all it’s a delicious treat that i’m sure we will have a craving for soon. Next time, smile more, work’s not so bad.
