Our lawn guys had determined that our well pump wasnt working anymore and asked me to contact a specialist. Based on a recommendation, I contacted AA Sutcliffe Pump & Well and Cole Sutcliffe came out the same day, 3 minutes before the appointment time. Talk about honest and dependable: Even though I had indicated, that I was willing to replace the pump, Cole insisted on trying to fix it first. What can I say, he spent 15 minutes on the system and got it running again. As preventative maintenance, he replaced the old and worn-out pressure switch and replaced a leaking check valve. Finally, the diaphragm tank got a pressure boost and the ants around the well a shot of insecticide. Good to go! Cole explained everything to me, gave a couple of tips for maintenance and was done within an hour. What more can you ask for? Knowledgeable, dependable and honest with very reasonable pricing. I am very happy with the work performed and AA Sutcliffe gets a well deserved 5-Star recommendation from me.

Our well pump went out two days ago and I was pretty desperate to get my irrigation going again. Now, thats the time when you need an honest and reliable company working on your well. Unfortunately, there is a lot of companies and very little in terms of good feed back out there.Well, let me change that: I am really very happy with Sutcliffe Pump & Well. I called their office and was put through straight to Cole Sutcliffes cellphone. He explained the possible reasons for the failure and promised to come by the next morning. And contrary to many other experiences, he was there at 8am sharp yesterday. It took him 15 minutes to figure out the problem, but sadly the pump was 15 years old and just quit on us. He promised to be back with his crew today in the morning and then replaced the pump.I can honestly say that he has done a terrific job: Technically to the highest standard, clean, efficient, courteous and with a very fair price tag attached. He took a lot of time to explain my pump system to me, how he makes sure that it is good for many years to come and provided me with tips and support. Thank you for that.Recommended? YES, highly. He and his family have been running their business for over 40 years and deserve every praise there is. Finding the right company for your well can be a drag but Sutcliffe Pump & Well is a hands down recommendation in the Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice area.FOLLOW UP (02-20-2018): Here we are, 3 years later and our pump and well are still going strong. Last week, however, I noticed some corrosion on the screws holding the well cap in place (we live close to the ocean, so metal gets eaten up), so I called Cole Sutcliffe and asked him for his opinion and - if necessary - a well service to correct the problem and ensure the longevity of our system. I completely trust Cole, so I wasnt even at home when he came. He analyzed the problem and called me to advise me NOT to do anything right now, but leave the system running as it is and deal with the issue at a later point tin time, possibly in a couple of years when the pump needs replacement. Thats what I meant when I described him as an honest guy in my original review. Rather than selling me an unnecessary service/repair, he decided to give me good advice and keep a satisfied customer.
