WHAT A PLACE!Customer service was phenomenal! Whoever runs the online portion was patient and willing to answer my many, many questions:Prices are better than fair! I found an international version of a vinyl and paid fair market price ! No upcharges or markups!The vibes of the store is immaculate. Most record shops around are snobby and pretentious and refuse to get modern vinyls or update. Salty Dog was bright, funky, and well organized. Josh is a whole vibe and his customer service was excellent! I am so happy I found this little Gem of a record shop! See you soon !

Recently moved to Sarasota. First time visit to the store a few weeks ago. I purchased a very large Frank Zappa record collection that had been acquired by the store. Ive been to hundreds of record stores throughout our great country and Josh, the owner, is one of the nicest record store owners I have ever interacted and dealt with.A very personable and comfortable atmosphere. Great place to acquire older music.

I recently visited this record shop for the first time since moving to St. Pete. and I must say, this is one of the BEST record shops I have been to. The staff is AWESOME and very friendly.I was looking for a certain album, I called them to inquire about having this particular album in stock and was advised that they indeed have one left. They even offered to hold it for me,. The next day I came in and WOW, not only did they hold the album I wanted, but they also had numerous other ones I ended up purchasing.The selection matches their customer service, The selection was awesome and the service was even better. I inquired if they had some other artists in stock and one of the owners not only informed me were to find them, but he also got up and helped me look. If thats not customer service, I dont know what is. They even offered me a cold beverage of my choice. :-)if you happen to be in the area, I insist that you stop in and give them a visit. You wont regret it. These guys are GREAT.

Small, tucked away, shop. There is a good sized collection of both vintage and new vinyl. Owner is a really great guy that is knowledgeable of the collection he has. He also has miscellaneous collectables like posters, CDs, pins, jerseys, hats ect. We ended up spending an hour inside because it all was so interesting!

They have a huge collection of records and a great vibe, Ive never left empty handed.

I just had the best time shopping at Salty Dog Records in Sarasota! The selection was not only Incredible but the service was so cool Bill and Josh are all around great people extremely helpful and kind with a very impressive selection of not just records but cds,cassettes,posters,pins and the biggest collection of punk rock,ska and hardcore vinyls i have ever seen for sale with very reasonable prices I highly recommend Salty Dog Records in Sarasota to anybody looking for rare,re issue,new and classic vinyls i will definitely be back with more business 🤘 😀
