Todd Zulauf @ the Lakeland store was very helpful. He took time to explain the details of the two outdoor furniture sets we were looking at buying. Todd also exhibited patience with our cushions color choice adventure.What we bought was delivered on time.

We shopped several places and found ourselves back at Leaders to place our order. Our salesperson Chuck was incredibly attentive as we were making our selections. He continued to be so as we awaited our furniture, providing us with updates even when it meant that one item was going to be delayed. He didnt try to shy away from telling us - he was always upfront and honest. The manager Christy is obviously an industry veteran. She knows the products! She was able to source a table we found else where so that we could order all of the products from her store. We were able to purchase all items for our Naples home while we were staying in Sarasota. We furnished our lanai living area, dining area, bar and lounge area from Leaders. We had one damaged item but we are using it until it is replaced. We are very impressed with the Leaders team especially Chuck & Christy in the Sarasota store!

Very please with the service we received. We purchased our outdoor dining set and they immediately set the delivery date. We were given a window of delivery time and they were right on time and set up the furniture for us. The delivery men were VERY polite and courteous and were eager to set things exactly as we wanted them to be. Very pleased.

Original post 08/27/21We shopped our outdoor furniture extensively looking at many stores, some less expensive and some more. After weighing style, construction, price and locality, we settled on Leaders.We ordered our furniture in December 2020 with a projected delivery to our new home in March. Our construction was delayed until May and they kindly kept the furniture until then.Our first delivery was scheduled mid May but the furniture didn’t arrive and it turns out when we confirmed delivery details, our old address was still on the paperwork: that was on us, not them.So we rescheduled our delivery for a week later. They have a nifty tool where you can see how many stops are before yours. I think we were #10. I checked around 4pm and it said they were at stop 9 so I was excited to get the furniture. Several hours passed and it still said 9. No one called. I called the store about 15 minutes before closing. TJ/CJ referred me to the Clearwater office and told me they closed at 7….of course this was a Friday. I asked her if she could call on our behalf and she said no! So I called at about 650 and no answer. I called her back and she said they’d have to sort it out in the morning.On Saturday morning Jim D. (our salesman) called us and said the delivery GPS took the drivers to Tampa on Friday. We live in Venice and ordered the furniture from Sarasota so why no one questioned that right away is beyond us. If the driver had simply called all of this could have been avoided. No one called. Of course there are no deliveries on Saturdays so we were assured ours would be “the first” delivery on Monday. Now two full weekends in May have gone by without our furniture. We did finally receive it on Monday around noon.The furniture is great. The two custom pillows I ordered were not the correct style even though a photo/illustration of them is right on the invoice.When I pursued getting those replaced with the correct ones, that too was a fiasco. We finally received them when we had to go pick them up on August 21st (yes 3 months to make two throw pillows that THEY made improperly). They insisted we return the incorrect pillows that have been out in the elements. Not sure what they will do with them but that’s their prerogative.Lastly Jim promised to refund our delivery fee back in May once delivery had been made. That did not happen. I called him about ten days ago and he said he would take care of it. When we picked up the new pillows I asked again and they said it would take up to ten days. It’s been about that and no refund yet.Bottom line: Fair price for nice quality furniture. The rest was sub par, the left hand does not talk to the right hand and no one wants to be accountable. If you can tolerate the customer service issues, the goods are well made. I waited to write this review until the transaction was completely finished to see how they would react at each step. Disappointed in the customer experience but happy with our furniture. If I could I’d give it 3.5 overall but since it’s whole stars we will give a 4.09/03/21 update:I emailed the store again on 08/31 about our refund and nothing. I am going to remove one star every seven days until this is resolved. I see the “owner” promptly replies to most posts and I was completely fair. There has been no reply and no refund. So I have removed a star and they are now at 3.09/15/2021 update:Still nothing. It is not my responsibility to chase this refund any further. Now two stars.Later 09/15/21 update:My husband decided to call Jim one more time and he has now issued the delivery charge refund so I will restore to 3 stars. Because we put so much psychic energy into this we cannot reasonably assign a 4 star rating.

We looked at 5 other patio furniture stores in Sarasota before deciding to purchase our set at Leaders based on a family recommendation and comparison of their furniture with that in the other stores. The staff is very knowedgeable and helpful without being pushy. After delivery, we noticed that the glass in two of the end tables did not fit properly. They exchanged them quickly without a problem. I was so burned out from traveling and shopping for our new home here in Florida that I couldnt organize my thoughts to save my life!Jim was unbelievably patient, incredibly professional and helped me, despite my scattered brain, figure out the dimensions from my Floorplan and terrible picture of the model home.Jim is incredibly knowledgeable, theres beautiful product, absolutely the most comfortable thing I sat on all day and I was furniture shopping for 8 hours! We had a great sales experience, and initial pickup of 2 chaise lounges was timely. 2 staff members loaded my order into my car, and I didn’t really have a chance to inspect the chairs before they were loaded into my vehicle. Upon returning home (less than a 5 minute drive), I noticed a large scratch down the arm rest of one of the 2 chairs, as well as scuffs on some of the legs. I called the store right away to see if they could offer touch up paint, because this was an expensive purchase for us. The store offered to replace the chair. I thought that was great customer service, and I was grateful.However, when I went to pick up the replacement chair today, I was basically accused of damaging the chair. I was told by the employee there that they would have never loaded the chair with that large a scratch, and he would replace it this time but there’s no way it happened at the store. Well first of all, this isn’t the way to get a repeat customer. Secondly, I did not load the chairs into my vehicle and did not have a chance to even inspect them before they were loaded. I noticed the scratch as soon as I (very carefully) unloaded the chairs from my vehicle, and seriously doubt the damage happened at my hands. I understand this is just 1 employee and the rest of the staff we dealt with were great, but it really left a sour taste in my mouth. Fortunately I haven’t found any issues with the replacement chair. And at the end of the day, they made it right. But, we will not be returning to this store for more patio furniture in the future.

I purchased a Windward patio set 1 table, 6 chairs and 2 lounges. They were delivered February 28, 2015. Ive been noticing water spots on the arms of all my furniture as well as the powder coat finish is looking dull (fading). I contacted Leaders they forwarded my pictures to the manufacturer. The manufacturer responded with the spots are from chemicals and I should be waxing my furniture. I was very disappointed with their response. Ive never heard of waxing your pool furniture and the chemical theory is completely wrong I have never used chemicals on my roof or pool cage. If I was told from the sales associate I needed to wax my $3000.00 + furniture. I would of never purchased it that expensive. I did contact Windward to speak with them about their response and never received a return phone call. Very poor customer service. I would NOT recommend purchasing Windward products!!!

The staff has consistently been warm, engaging and helpful. They follow up with phone calls regarding the status of your order. We are happy with the quality and look of the set we purchased. We would definitely recommend them to our friends.

I have not bought furniture here yet, but the salesman at the Sarasota branch, Kris, could not have been more helpful. When I expressed that I wanted two of the nicer swivels and wanted to match with some less expensive chairs and tables, he said I got you. and worked with me to find a set. Great service! I am now using their Room Layout planner to help decide what I can fit in the space. Love it!

My husband and I absolutely love Leaders Furniture; our home can be a showroom for them. We love the personalized attention we have received from the staff, especially the Manager, Ray Lux. He is always helpful in making suggestions that add to our decor. We recently sent some friends in and they purchased outdoor furniture for their lake house. We appreciate the personal interaction which you do NOT get at the big box stores. When we have to replace any of our furniture, Ray is the go-to person for us. He personally came to our home to help us add some pieces. To my knowledge, no other stores will do that without a fee.

Weve purchased many pieces of furniture over the past two years and really appreciate their customer service, and friendly and professional demeanor. I recently bought an outdoor dining set and indoor sleeper couch from the Sarasota store. I was very pleased with the professional service I received from Gisela. Due to her expertise, I happily made my purchases. Leaders exemplary service continued to be on display when I experienced a concern with the size of my couch and it fitting in the designated room. With the assistance of our delivery people (Justin and his associate), we were able to contact Ray (Showroom Manager) in the Sarasota store and he managed to help me return my couch and order another model. Their courtesy was above and beyond normal expectations. I am extremely happy with my experience with Leaders and will return for future purchases.

We purchased a second home in Venice and needed furniture for our lanai. After doing comparative shopping, we found that Leaders had the best prices. We not only got the best deal, we had an extremely helpful saleswoman, Gisela, who made the decision making much easier. Our furniture arrived when promised by a polite and efficient delivery man. We needed comfortable occasional chairs that would look just as nice on the lanai or just inside the sliders to the lanai. The sales woman at Leaders helped us find exactly the right pieces. They had an extensive choice of fabrics for the cushions. The chairs were delivered today well within the estimated time given when the order was placed and they look fantastic. This is the second time Leaders has delivered furniture to the house. In both instances the delivery men were careful when carrying and placing the furniture and were extremely polite.

If he wasnt in the store, another person gave me all the information I needed. I never felt pressured to buy. I think that is why I kept coming back and actually bought more than I had anticipated. the furniture was delivered a week before the original date. I am very satisfied with the whole transaction.

We found a beautiful patio set. There was a large selection of furniture and quality fabric choices. Patricia helped show us everything that was available. We were told it was going to take up to 3 weeks to deliver but it only took 1 1/2. We’re very happy with the furniture and great service in the Sarasota store!

Our entire experience with Leaders was amazing. We went shopping for outdoor furniture on Wednesday and everything we wanted was delivered on Friday! We were lucky to catch the March sale from both Leaders and the manufacturer. We bought an outdoor sectional couch, four sling chairs and a fire pit. Our salesman Ray Lux was top notch...professional, knowledgeable and personable. The delivery team led by Rob was also great. They gave us a 10am to noon delivery window and showed up at our door at 10:03 am. They placed the furniture and did the assembly they needed and set up the fire pit and showed me how to use it. Again, t very professional and polite. Highly recommended!!

Decided on a seating area to match our bar height dining table and chairs. We love the table and chairs and theyve worn very well over the past two years. Purchase was easy and a Saturday delivery necessary. Our two hour window was late in the day. Luckily we were home when they came an hour prior to the earliest time quoted. Delivery men seemed in a hurry; dont blame them as it was the weekend. But, noticed some damage and frames seemed in need of cleaning and touch up. The delivery men did touch up on the frames and left. My husband is out there right now touching up more of the cocktail table top.The chairs and love seat are extremely comfortable and eager to enjoy a cocktail outside.

We were searching for a large cantilever umbrella. Jim was very helpful. We ended up buying the floor model. Delivery was quick and convenient. We bought a beautiful dining set from Ray at Leaders in Sarasota and we are loving it. We got the table top from the floor because that was the only thing available at the time. Ray promised we could exchange that for a brand new top when we returned to Florida in 8 months time. Just as he promised, we received our new top yesterday and couldnt be happier. The deliverymen were prompt, courteous, and very careful with the product. We would shop at Leaders again!

We walked into a showroom - my wife and I - that was well organized and easy to navigate and were helped by an efficient salesperson. during our selection of the furniture we were searching for, helpful advice was offered, and after our purchase the transaction and delivery preparations were efficiently handled. Delivery of the four items was made when it was promised by a staff of friendly and competent employees.

We looked all over the area for the perfect outdoor furniture with the perfect, well almost perfect, price. We did get a package price for all pieces and cushions. We chose the Savannah collection. It was delivered promptly and looks beautiful on our porch.

I ordered my living room set from a salesman via a phone call about 3 weeks ago. He was very helpful and answered all questions and made me feel secure with the product and the quality of the product. The living room set was delivered today and the quality exceeded my expectation. The delivery was very well co-ordinated and on time. They actually worked to satisfy my schedule.

Leaders has a beautiful showroom. So wonderful to see all of the furniture and decor rather than searching through catalogs. Sales assistance and delivery service was excellent. Highly recommend this chain of stores!

I LOOKED FOR OUTDOOR FURNITURE TO FIT MY NEEDS FOR WEEKS, I FOUND IT A LEADERS THE SALES HELP, GISELA IN PARTICULAR WAS OUTSTANDING! THE WHOLE STORE IS INVITING AND YOULL FIND WHAT YOU NEED. THE DELIVERY PERSON WAS COURTEOUS AND THEY GOT TO MY HOME AT THE TIME THEY SAID.

We called Leaders as we were unable to lite our 2 year old Tropitone gas fire pit. Their service technicians identified the problem and they were able to repair it on site. They were both knowledgeable and courteous.

The service was second to none. Christy was patient, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We received our lanai set one week ahead of schedule. The quality is excellent. The delivery was seamless and of the same high standard. We would highly recommend Leaders.

After looking in avout 15 furniture stores we chose leaders above all. They had great customer service that helped us with every step of our custom outdoor furniture. They had great prices and super fast delivery. Couldnt be happier with leaders, their service and the great furniture we have.

Went to the store today early afternoon to buy 2-chaise lounge chairs. The salesperson -a man could not of been more rude and unhelpful. He never introduced himself to us upon entering the store. He answered a few questions for us about product availability. He then took a phone call without saying excuse me. We waited for him for at least 5 minutes while he remained at the desk on the computer. After a few more minutes we left the store as he was obviously not interested in helping us with the sale. I worked in sales for 30 years and never treated my customers in this manner.Dan BOsprey

Tamiami Tr. in Sarasota Fl. has been outstanding....their in-store assistance helped us decide on all the furniture that we have positioned on our Lanai....and their delivery service is second to none....extremely courteous,on time.and set up was excellent. We have recommended them to several family members who have all purchased from them....the quality is very good.....

I believed their ads that said dont buy from the big box, dont do it. I had bought an outdoor ottoman and the fabric disintegrated after 3 years. When I emailed customer care I was informed that the fabric had a 1 year warranty. Whats interesting is the big box offers 5 year warranty on fabric and life time on components. And by the way, when I went into their Sarasota location the sales person asked if used the furniture outside! No more Tropitone.and no more Leaders.******UPDATE****** They made it right. Thank You!

We recently purchased lanai furniture from Leaders.John, the sales associate, was very thorough and patient, made a diagram of placement of the furniture based on the size of our lanai., etc. and covered all of the possible options.Delivery personnel kept us informed of their arrival time, arrived as promised and were very personable and friendly.Well be back for additional purchases.We came to Florida with virtually no furniture for our new home. Leaders will be on our bucket list for some time.

We are very pleased with our Kokomo dining and sectional sets. Our salesperson, Carol, was exceptionally helpful, and the delivery team was knowledgeable and careful. The entire experience was refreshing and stress free.

Once the ladies got to know our specific needs they went out of their way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and had it delivered to our new home in time for the entertaining we were doing. We now have a beautiful back yard thanks to the ladies at Leaders.

I recently purchased a recliner, coffee table, and lamp table! The recliner is very comfortable and supports my lower lumbar area and is very proportionate to my stature! The coffee table is adorable and matches the sofa I purchased . The furniture is made extremely well and the staff was helpful! Im looking forward to adding other pieces!

We had been looking for patio furniture for some time without finding what we wanted. We saw the Leaders store when driving down US41 in Sarasota and decided to check it out. Christie greeted us as we walked in the door and was extremely helpful. She showed us exactly the furniture we were looking for. When it was delivered, the guys were so professional. With all the rain weve had, and the fact they had to walk on the lawn to the lanai, I assumed there would be mud and grass to clean up after they left. That was not the case as they had placed a door mat outside the lanai door and wiped their feet each time they brought furniture into the lanai. We very much like our choice and would highly recommend Leaders.

Searched quite a few stores for patio furniture. Went in to Leaders and talked with Gisela and she was very friendly and professional and showed us several sets that might be of interest. We finally decided on what we liked and received it in a timely fashion but minus one end table. When I called to inquire about it, I was told that although it showed in stock in warehouse the item wasnt up to Leaders standards and they ordered a new one which was ok with us, better having one with no problems than having to return it. We like the furniture so much that we are going back to purchase the ottomans that go with it. I was very very happy with the service and furniture that we got at Leaders.

Excellent experience with Lanai swivel chair. Needed minor repair and the Sarasota store on Rt. 41 sent the chair off for repair at no charge and it was delivered back to us in perfect condition. Highly recommend this store for furniture and especially the warranty.

Loved the furniture. Loved the service. And, the furniture which was customized came quicker than anticipated. All in all it was one of the best furniture buying experiences Ive ever had!

Would reconsider buying from this company again.We bought $20K of outdoor furniture which we love and enjoyed dealing with our sales person. Once she was no longer there, we were treated very poorly after the sale. We had trouble reaching people and when asked if we could get a certain pillow for our pool chairs, we were told under no uncertain terms that they were unavailable and the sales person hung up.While we love our furniture, customer service should be paramount. There are many choices today and this wont be one of mine in the future.One should note, that this company custom makes many of their upholstery and Pillows, so the answer was not honest.I wish the main office was aware and didnt allow those with such poor service to represent.
