Man these were delicious. This is where to get your donuts. Everything was delicious but I’m dreaming about that strawberry frosted, where it actually taste like strawberries!! Mmmm. Boston cream was amazing too. A must.

Anyone that knows me knows I love a good donut and so far Kane’s has the best donuts hands down...so worth the ride and the $50 spent (don’t judge me 😏) Their infamous “Honey Dip” had me at first bite! Their gluten free donuts are just as amazing and the Bismarck is just phenomenal. You will not be disappointed with these round doughy pillows of deliciousness 🍩😍🥰😘

If youre cruising southbound on US Route 1, be sure to stop at Kanes Donuts and get you some donuts. And if you dont EAT donuts, get some for someone you love. There is love in gluten. And if gluten doesnt love you...Kanes will fix you up with gluten-free donuts. Egg sandwiches do not suck either. See says it right there on the box. ❤

Great in store made Donuts. Went to purchase a dozen Donuts pulled up to drive thru went to pay. 40 something dollars for 12 Donuts I was in awe. Hues Im still living back in the 80s. Service was great even after I canceled the 40 dollar plus dozen Donuts and just got one.

While some owners of donut shops buy all purpose flour from king Arthur or some flour company. Many owners choose to buy Bake n Joy dry donut mix or pillsbury or karps brand. And add wet ingredients instant dough pull off very consistent. But if youre not buying the flour then measuring cup for cup like the online recipe videos show. Proofing from scratch. The owners of this place should look at the back label ingredients anything with dry whole eggs non fat dry milk powder. Emulsifiers etc. Not the same as places like knead doughnuts. It might have flavor to add

If you love Donuts this is your place. Forget about DD and get the real treat here. Nice inside and outside sitting area. You actually see how they make the Donuts fresh in the shop. Would love to have some espresso cafes and latte variations as option though.

Excellent. Definitely recommend. 9.5 out of 10. And I give it a 9.5 and not a straight 10 is because the are a little pricey. But them again there items on their menu are no joke.. they mastered the whole donut thing. They remind me of this place in East Boston called Betty Anns I believe (it may be spelled different).. its in Bennington st.. and this place was a little hole in the wall that only sold plain ball shaped donut dipped in sugar, and then the same this but will jelly inside and omfg are they amazing.. and I believe they ended up making a lemon filled donut. And then they sold some type of bread, or rolls, idk I forget I only went for thier Jelly donuts. Id always get 2 and 1/2 dozen. But they were only open from like 7am-11am. Either that or they opened at 6. But some times they would have to close early cause they are sold out of EVERYTHING. They always made a certain amount every day. So some days youd be lucky to get what you went there to get. And then there was a sickness in the family, and they closed which was supposed to be a month, and that turned into, never opening again. Im so sad.. someones gotta have that recipe.. but if you go to kanes, the smell you smell when you pull into the parking lot, well thats the same exact smell when ya went to Betty Anns

These donuts are delicious. Yes, they are a bit pricey and perhaps not for everyday.  But they are super delicious and worth the trip.  I would add that the coffee roll can seem a bit bready, but still amazing.

Doughnuts are best in area. Creme Brulee is my favorite. Staff is friendly and fast. Wouldve have been 5 stars but coffee is inconsistent. Get your coffee next door at DD and all your pastries and food at Kanes

Theres something amazing about a quality doughnut and thats all you can expect at Kanes. They close early and the doughnuts are pricey but think of your visit as a privilege that few will experience. Good luck not immediately eating the entirety of your order because these confections seem to be a self control black hole. Skip birthday cake this year and just get a pile of these baked and fried joy rings!

Huge selection! Actually tasty gluten free options too. HIGHLY recommend the basics here. The strawberry frosted was my fav. So light and fluffy!

Great donuts!! The classic Honey Dip donut is my favorite, its absolutely delicious and one of the best donuts in Boston. I also like the jelly filled donuts and apple fritter. This location has a drive thru and some outdoor seating which is nice. Price is reasonable, especially since the donuts are so large. I highly recommend!

Kanes donuts are easily the best donuts in a town filled with good donuts. Add on that they have great coffee from Atomic coffee and you have an unbeatable breakfast.

Went there today my son went in wasnt clear with the fact that we needed gluten free I saw that they werent I went back in a gentleman looked in the box said no only 1 is abs they r touching gluten ones...he grabbed a bag what would u like I dont want u to get getsick I picked out what I needed I would have paid the difference he said no problem and gave me the gluten ones to give to my mom.. this place e is my hero..I havent been able to divest food in a week and I kept down the lemon poppy gf dont I love this place and their extreme kindness to me ❤🧡💛

Kanes donuts are the best. My kids love Kanes breakfast sandwiches too. The new-ish Route 1 location lacks the charm of the original, but makes up for it with convenience.

Wow the latte one of the best Ive ever had. And Ive never had crusty crust donuts. Hands down the cinnamon was our family favorite following old fashioned. The donuts are just awesome. I hope this location does well. The free WiFi and large picnic table is great. One suggestion is for the shop to get some tables and chairs for the cement opening area outside the entrance. Enjoy donuts and coffee and drinks outside for the spring and summer and fall.

Truly great donuts. Always lines because the product is so great. Worth the wait and the lines move pretty quickly. We plan other stops in this heavily commercial area in case it is too crowded the first time we stop.

Always an efficient visit considering how busy it is. And of course, the donuts are unmatched

Great donuts, can can be somewhat challenging to get to if you are not familar with route 1. if you miss the turn, you basically have to turn back on the other side of the world and loop back. coffee were good too at reasonable prices. looks like they have the outdoor area for you to sit and eat if you want. seems like they have an efficient pickup drive through as well. i like my chocolate turtle and red velvet donuts

This is the best donut place in the Boston area, and it has a lot of competition. I am not going to complain too loud if you personally have a different fave, but Kanes has won plenty of rankings, not only for Boston, but, indeed, has been ranked number one in the country. We Bostonians take our donuts very seriously, and this has rotating seasonal specials, as well as monthly one-offs. But if you are a traditionalist, and want to stick to the basics, you also wont go wrong.

Doughnuts are so fresh nothing like DD.. Jordan is great, friendly service and had good recommendations ..

My family and I drove from western MA and couldnt be happier about the experience. We got the maple bacon, jelly and turtle donuts. I have no words to describe how delicious the jelly donut was! Food was great and staff was friendly as well as a clean store. We will definitely be back 😀

Kane’s donuts are the best!! They have many selections and they are all tasty. Kane’s uses organic ingredients, so I’m told. They have excellent coffee too. The donuts are a great gift!

I love Kanes the donuts are great. This time they want the best I usually go to the original location I went to the one on route 1 so maybe theyre a little bit different I do have to say Im finding them to be very expensive but for a once in awhile family treat when Im visiting its certainly worth it

These donuts are bussin!My husband is a donut lover. These honey dip are a 9/10 according to him. One of, if not the best glazed donut hes ever had.You must get a Kanes donut if you are in the Boston area. Go early for the best pick. Twice now I have been denied the Creme Brulee donut, but thats ok because it means I have to go back.

Just got the Oink breakfast sandwich. Omg it was delicious! Plus a small ice coffee. The coffee is very good and if you like dunks you will like this also.

These folks have some of the best donuts around, with lots of great flavors to choose from. The raised donuts themselves, regardless of flavor, are about perfect.

We have been here many times and enjoy this sweet treat. I like the Boston cream. Now that I am celiac I am going to have to try their gluten free options.

Ive had the specialty places around Boston and this place is better. Consistency in taste is a factor too. Kanes is consistent unlike some places Ive been to.

I absolutely LOVE Kanes donuts and their new location doesnt disappoint. All of the donuts are wonderful and the breakfast sandwiches will fill you up.

A first time experience in going to this place but it was pretty good and the staff was very accommodating it was an enjoyable experience. I ordered a large coffee roll unaware it was as large as a small cake.

Walked into Saugus, original store, asked for a coffee cake at 8:15 all out. Ok, ordered a half dozen donuts took a $20 out of my pocket, WRONG! $23.40 for 6 donuts. Pigs get fed hogs get slaughtered. Outrageous, last visit. Honestly justify this cost for me. Does anybody want to work for a living anymore?

I’ve loved this place for years. I bought multiple dozens while visiting friends in the area recently. Surprisingly most of them have never had Kane’s. Everyone raved about the donuts all weekend. It’s a must have!

Phenomenal donuts. My favorite the chocolate Oreo! Decadent. In all honesty, the lemon donut was a powered donut filled with lemon. They replaceD the powder with a glaze- the same with the jelly donut which use to be more of a raised- light sugary top stuffed with jelly. I prefer the Old recipe- The coffee cake is amazing as well!

This place lives up to the hype. The donuts here are indeed extraordinary. I really like the turtle donut -- its more of a cake than a donut but its absolutely decadent.They also have a rotation of seasonal donuts that I usually try when I go there. Im not the biggest fan of gingerbread cookies but Kanes seasonal gingerbread donut is probably my favorite donut of all time.One issue weve had was stock. You should come pretty early if you want the full selection to be available.

I can go on and on about this place. I waited a year and a half to try the donuts it drove me crazy because I wanted to try it so bad and just never had the time so finally a month ago I made it and it was worth the wait. I cant say enough about the donuts honestly I didnt try anything else just the donuts and they were Heavenly, delicious, succulent, marvelous, wonderful it melted in mouth like cotton 🍭 candy. One of the best pastry or donuts Ive ever had. It was like I got to the bakery just as the donut was coming out of the oven. Perfectly warm and soft and melty and just dissolved in my mouth. Unbelievable..

Boston cream is delicious and they dont cheap out on cream like dunks. The pizza is amazingly good. They need to heat it up more when you buy it.Donuts are pricey but worth it. Dozen will run you close to $30. Pizza $4 Each of our donuts were $2.75

Kanes Donuts are my one and only go-to stop to satisfy my donut cravings in a region with many fine producers. Their flavors are unpretentious but can still be very imaginative and the quality is consistently excellent.

Very good donuts at $3+ each! Too much money for a donut for me, so 3 of 5. Didnt see a1/2 dozen or dozen price.

I am not one to write reviews, but the service at this location is frustrating.I order the same 3 items every weekend and they continue to give me the wrong sandwich.I love the food they provide here but it’s frustrating to pay a premium price only to continue getting the wrong order.

I was expecting friendlier service but the donuts make up for it, the store and display are gorgeous!

We looked online to see how we could order ahead since it’s Saturday and the lines are long. Google said to use doordash so we downloaded it, paid and sent in our order. When we went to pick it up the manager just says “we don’t use doordash,” and walked away. We tried to explain that’s what it said to do online and that we already paid and he just straight up walked away and ignored us.Then a man claiming to be the owner comes running over and gets in my face saying they “don’t use doordash and we have to take it up with them and get in line.” And he left the building....Hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. This is not my issue. This is an issue they need to handle with doordash. Yelling at customers is going to lose you a lot of business, and remember this is over DONUTS. After this we will never spend our money there again. Truly horrible customer experience and waste of time and money.

Definitely the best donuts in Boston. But the way in from the highway is really sketchy. Were going to go to the other location in the future to avoid the minor heart attack involved in navigation your way in. Try the Boston cream!
