Wow. So it is their policy to not sell you a top handle chainsaw unless you are a licensed tree service.I will go to the other guys and get it no problem.The only chainsaw that I have ever used....top handle.Thats s weird policy only because I can go down the street and buy a semi automatic rifle and a couple of hand guns with a quick background check and NO license.Maybe northern should do background checks instead.

Edit: Im updating my review to reflect that Roadie contacted me 2 weeks after the delivery to make sure the product was delivered. I also received an update via text that theyre delivering another unit to the location (2 weeks after original delivery ) even though we didnt order another unit. Terrible system. Terrible service.________________________________The experience could have been much better.I placed a call to inquire about a product. Called later on about same day delivery was referred to their online portal.Submitted the order after setting up my billing and shipping profile and selecting my shipping profile is the default shipping method. I also selected local delivery.The confirmation screen only showed my billing address and did not show my shipping address. I received an email showing that I ordered local delivery but it was set for in-store pickup and it did not show my shipping address It only showed my billing address.I called to try and clarify this issue and was put on hold for a short period. Then a CSR picked up and I explained to them the problem. I was told that the software pipes out the information to a third party delivery service. I was also told that they would try and resolve the issue and double check to make sure everything was correct and I was told I was going to be put on hold. Instead I was hung up on, possibly accidentally I willing to give the benefit of the doubt.However I did not receive a call back even though my phone number is set up on my profile. Shortly thereafter I received a confirmation text message telling me that my order was being delivered to my billing address and not my shipping address. I called back once again to try and resolve the issue and was told that the driver would be called and rerouted after manually providing my shipping address.The driver got lost and called me to confirm the location. The product was then finally delivered to the company.I cant say that this was a great first impression because it definitely was not. Thats the first time I ever used Northern tool or bought anything from them. I can say with pure confidence that I will never use their online platform again. Walk in only or Im going someplace else in the future.

I have shopped at the Savannah, Ga Northern Tool store on numerous occasions. The people are always friendly and helpful - never pushy. The store itself is rather small, but always clean - including the restroom.The most challenging part of shopping at Northern Tool is leaving with only what I need. So much good stuff!

Its a great place to shop - all of the people who work there are friendly and knowledgeable. You often find bargain prices on useful things there.

Excellent as always. Personal attention along with professional advice. The employees are always knowledgable about the items offered for sale. I bought a Stihl chainsaw. The employee told me he was going to take it to the back and start it and make sure it ran properly. I could hear him testing it. A few minutes later he brought it out and it was full of fuel and chain oil ready to go. He even registered it for the warranty right there in the store. I always receive the same professionalism every time I purchase there.

They will sell me a drill chuck for my drill press, but not the adapter which has a taper on each end. So without the adapter what good is it.

The managers excellent attitude is the only reason why this review gets even two stars. George and the disgustingly judgmental troll working the register shouldn’t have jobs in a society that values respect and dignity. The condescending manner with which I was treated in a customer service environment was appalling. Just go to Lowe’s and save yourself the headache.

Walked into the store today looking for a wheel hub for my boat trailer. The experts are no where to be found so I ask the cashier for help. She calls a guy from the back and he ask me what I need. He tells me he is out of stock on that product. NOT A PROBLEMHe immediately walked away and acted like it was a burden for him to talk to me. These people did not give me the time of day. They were not busy at all, maybe 5 cars in the parking lot. I asked him where else I could find one. He told me everybody is closed. Either the guy was a liar or just ignorant. I walked across the street to West Marine and they had everything I need. Expect to be treated like a burden when you shop at Northern Tool. Guys customer service is easy.... just a little bit of effort.

I did like this store, however after calling today... Nope.My wood stove glass broke last night and I called here because they have a repair department and wood stoves. Well, I got a guy named George who really did not want to help me find a wood stove. He kept saying go online, look online. I currently do not have online and felt very much like a problem to northern tools. I need help from someone who works with these and northern tool did not give it. I will spend my $800.00 else where.Thank you for making me feel under valued George.Later Northern Tool.

The cost of shipping was more than the purchased items and over a week for the delivery date! You should have the option of pick up purchased items at your store and we dont pay shipping charges and have delay.

I asked the lady and older man at the counter, if they had anymore in the back, they said they did not and left it at that. They could have asked if I wanted to order a pair, but they did not. 5 stars for having nice product, but need to the staff to sell it.

Did everything we needed plus some

Purchased their 3600psi powerhorse pressure washer. Brought it in for its 10 hour service. 4.5 weeks to get it back for a simple oul change. Fast foward 2 months, having issues with it not wanting to feed fuel into motor. Cleaned myself because they said it would be 1 month before they could look at it. Cant even get a gasket for the carb bowl which was the issue. Its a dissapointment everytime i go here. Wish i bought a craftsman

Great place to go, if you are a hobby tech. Lots of general tools to choose from. If you are looking for a more obscure tool, it wont be found here, for the most part. Recommended for the regular things you might need but not for the more needful technician like myself.

Started off ordering 2013 Ford f350_ Phoenix chrome hubcaps one month ago. Which by the way stock wheels are 17 in and they sent 16 in. WowFinally just receive them and they are the wrong size.Now you got to wait a week to get the returning package. Then probably another week to get my money back.Bottom line is make sure you know what youre ordering because it may take a month or two if its not right. And by the way you got to pay to ship it I just lost out on $40 and a lot of heartache.They didnt care nothing about getting me what I ordered.

Great place, plenty of high end tools and plenty budget friendly tools. Wide variety, looked for an odd size mower tires at lowes, the depot, and T.S. no one had them. Found it at Northern Tool. Also plenty of friendly, and knowledgeable customer service to help you find what you need.

Clean store well stocked friendly service

Service slow, placed order to pickup at the store in Savannah, Ga had to wait to get my items pulled from the back. Employees said they were unloading a delivery truck and me the customer would have to wait. I had already walked all over the store after I inquired about my order on line. A good 30 minutes.

Sent a 2 week old commercial pressure washer in for warranty work, supposedly a bad motor which consist of a motor and 4 bolts. Fast forward a month and week and its still not fixed. Can never get anyone to answer the phone at the store and when i did i was told the motor ordered got lost in shipping. Never again will i purchase a Northern Brand pressure washer.

Who is store geared toward? 30% of the store is clothes and gloves. the rest is lawn equipment, pressure washers, and tools. its listed as a hardware store, but it doesnt have hardware. So if you need actual hardware, go to a hardware store or home depot. if you need tools, go to harbor freight or something. This store feels like it doesnt know what it wants to be. I came here with a list of 7 things to get and found ONE then put it back and left.

I ordered mig welder from northern tools. The UPS man must of slammed it down or dropped it because it arrived damaged. I called my local northern tool and was told I could exchange it. Total BS because when I returned the welder I was told oh we dont exchange we can refund you and then buy another. So in reality I have to wait 3-5 business days for refund. messed up! needed welder this weekend. They expect me to rebuy it from them!?!? they most be smoking something funny! Now no welder and no refund utter BS

Staff was very friendly, ordered an ATV trailer for me. Upon delivery I was notified, employees loaded trailer into back of pickup.

Ordered 10 spray bottles. Waited three weeks and never came in. Employee said the order wasnt placed properly. Very unorganized store and employees.
