DISCLAIMER:I bought my vehicle from them without being able to see it and inspect it for myself, so some of these issues can be blamed on either party. They were great to work with, and quite responsive. I believe there were a couple cosmetic issues that should have been noted (such as a couple 1 square inch spots on the hood that were rubbed down to bare metal), but I also understand that they cant memorize every little thing with every vehicle. The car runs great and smooth, so I would trust these guys to get you a well running reliable car with minimal issues if any. Although, it is hard to overlook some of the smaller issues that I felt like a dealer should have noticed and repaired. For instance, the radio screen does not function. Minor, but makes it near impossible to use the radio. The driver side power window is also non functional. Mechanically, the engine and transmission are great, so like I said, i would trust them to get a well running vehicle, but it does seem like they dont run fine tooth inspections of the vehicles, or possible dont write some of the smaller issues down and forget to notify customers, even when asked specifically about these potential issues. I wouldnt rule them out as an option for purchasing a car, but I would probably have another mechanic or experienced party run through the vehicle to truly get an idea of the state of everything (something that was very hard for me to do living hundreds of miles away)
Been about two months now that I had bought a car from these guys, the car for being 10 years old was just awesome.I delayed writing a post to see how the car would be running for a spell and Im not disappointed in this purchase.
Bought a truck there and within having it a few hours the windows did not work properly had to take it tons mechanic to them find out it needed over $1,000 in work for a noise it was making. I’ve now had it a month and a half and took back to mechanic to have it looked at due to mangas smell coming out of the Vents when the AC is on and was told I now need over $2,000 in repairs done... oh and I also just had the flex pipe replaced as well. I can not believe they sold me a car with this amount of damage. I have 4 kids and can’t afford to keep fixing this car. Beyond mad and upset over this.
Bought a car didnt have drive shaft they were going to do something but nothing. Never buy here again
Food was good, but they have a waitress that have some attitude problems, she looks like is American but was offended when I told her that . She doesnt belong there .
Eddie, Ralph and staff are very friendly, helpful and explained everything thoroughly. They worked with us to get a great car at the term we needed.
Find a good mechanic and a good attorney before considering buying a car here. Look at the reviews -- this shop has earned a LOT of angry customers. Undependable, unreliable, inconsistent, no follow-up, no respect for your time. Just lies, deflection, delays and certainly the worst warranty Ive ever dealt with.EDIT: in case Best Choice tries to comment on this review, NO they never offered to take the car back; Eddie explicitly refused to take the car back. NO they never offered to repair or even look at the car and every interaction from the day I bought the car was a bad-faith gesture to make it seem they were doing something about the $5k in repairs the car needed. NO they never sent an estimator to look at the car. NO the car wasnt driven hot any longer than it took for me to bring it to a gas station to put coolant in it. NO it wasnt inspected in NJ or elsewhere when I bought it. NO Im not confusing this dealer with another dealer. NO Im not adlibbing the texts from Eddie, these are the exact words he texted me.Review:My Jeep overheated ON THE WAY HOME from this dealer. Eddie texted me Thermostat is locked. I changed out the thermostat and filled up the coolant. Three weeks later, the car had consumed a gallon of coolant - an indicator that the head gasket was blown and coolant was leaking into the combustion chamber. I brought it to my mechanic, where it spent the next month. Eddie assured me it would be all taken care of.Not just that... Eddie claimed Anthony at Veterans Auto Warranty is Good friend of mine and eventually told me that my mechanic ...has the documents that state that... the head gasket repair would be covered. Then Ill let you know they need to send an appraiser there. Then Im handling it. Then Your mechanic ... will receive a call today or first thing tomorrow all taken care ofThen Eddie told ME, after two weeks in the shop, that Veterans Auto Warranty was waiting on shops estimate. How did he know that? How could they be waiting for something they didnt tell us they were waiting for? What was Eddie taking care of if they didnt yet have an estimate?I did eventually get in touch with Veterans Auto Warranty. They told me 1) there wasnt a valid warranty on the car, and 2) they hadnt received payment for the coverage.Veterans Auto Warranty never sent an estimator. After a full month of calling, waiting, leaving messages, faxing estimates... surprise surprise... they wont cover the head gasket, a part that is LITERALLY SPELLED OUT UNDER COVERED PARTS. Why? Because they said its damage due to overheating.First of all, HOW WOULD THEY KNOW THAT IF THEY NEVER EVEN SENT AN ESTIMATOR? Why did I pay for a warranty??? They wasted a month of my time and they werent even going to cover the repair. Then Eddie told me send me invoice he sent to warranty, balked at the estimate, and again refused to take the car back.Best Choice ALSO wouldnt cover the rear brakes - they were metal to metal, meaning it wouldnt pass NY inspection. By the time the oil cooler blew a month later, I was done trying. The icing on the cake was a missing plastic cover on the dash. Eddie said hed send that part out to me ASAP when I bought the car. TWO MONTHS later, nothing. Whatever, I ordered it on eBay and it arrived in 9 days. Im writing this review FIVE MONTHS after buying the car -- still no dashboard part in the mail. Let that be the your gauge of just how little effort this dealer will put into follow-through after a sale. Eddie couldnt even send me a $45 dashboard vent cover.Eddies last message to me about the Jeep was if you drive a car hot you will blow head gasket I cant be responsible for that.If you enjoy that kind of infuriating arrogance after being ripped off, AND you enjoy paying $5k over the next 2 months to make a car driveable AFTER paying for a warranty, then by all means find your next jalopy right here at Best Choice Auto. If you value your own time and money, steer clear of these scam artists.
Bought my 2008 civic Si four door off of them 2 years ago and has been great.. High recommend..Awesome people.. Would definitely be my first stop next time I look for another vehicle .
Worst experience ever and I highly suggest to take your money somewhere else to buy a better car! Bought a Chevy sonic from them in January 2020 within 2 weeks I found out the brake pads and rotors were basically metal on metal which was causing a terrible pulsation which I told them before I bought the car it needed brakes and according to the owner his mechanic checked them and they were fine, after driving I could tell they weren’t perfectly fine than in the same time I had my mechanic check to see what else was wrong with the car, my transmission lines were completely rotted and had a leak & my flex pipe needed to be repaired. I went back freaking out because I didn’t even have the car for a month and I have to put 700$ into it already? The owner proceeded to tell me I hit things and that’s why I needed repairs (i didn’t hit nothing. I spoke to another mechanic and he said I was sold the car like this), I continued flipping out and they agreed to pay for it. Flash forward another month, I noticed the car was slipping gears and hesitating to accelerate and jerking between certain speeds. I decided to bring to a transmission mechanic and come to find out I need a new transmission. So another 3,000 dollars out of my pocket on top of what i’m paying for the car. I called again flipping out and they acted so shocked and had hung the phone up on me multiple times, I continued calling and they finally spoke to me and said I could go to one of their mechanics who would do it cheap and they could call me back a couple days later, I didn’t rely on them because I know the work wouldn’t be good. Thank gosh I didn’t wait for a call back because I am still waiting for one. The cars they sell there aren’t mechanically good and shouldn’t be sold how they are. The owners lie about getting the cars checked out, and unfortunately I had to learn the hard way. Please take your money elsewhere to people who are more honest about the product they are selling.Car does not have over 100,000 miles and I have the receipt from your mechanic with the work being close to 700.
Nice people and great selection of cars.
Purchased a car here about two months ago and I have nothing but great thing to say about Best Choice! The car dealer Lou was nothing but patient with me. I am not proud to say I do not have the best credit but unfortunately i do but that was not an issue here. Lou spent several hours with me going over everything with the banks that were suitable enough to fit my needs. I appreciate the help and i absolutely love my Jeep Wrangler. I recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to be treated like absolute family and it certainly have FIVE stars! BTW I loved that they offered to buy me lunch while I waited for the application process truly a great experience!
Most honest and respectable dealership Ive ever set foot on. Staff was available and willing to provide all the information. No pressure. No hassle. And no surprises. And no unexpected fees at signing. What you see is what you get at Best Choice and I recommend anyone looking for a used car to stop by and see what they have to offer.
I’m not the kind of person to right a review but I feel like I have to at this point please for the love of god don’t come here I got sold a lemon guy won’t do anything to help me I just came to get my plates and dude looked at me while turning down the street 10 minutes before close and still didn’t come give them to me which is already expired btw nothing but bad experiences do not recommend
I am a single mother of two and was recently in desperate need of a new vehicle to fit my children comfortably ! I did not hesitate to purchase my second vehicle from Best Choice Auto Sales because their staff was absolutely fantastic during my first purchase. If you are looking to feel comfortable about a car purchase I highly suggest you go to Best Choice Auto Sales to buy a car. I bought my first vehicle from them in 2007 and they took it back as a trade in and put me into a much newer and larger vehicle. They work with several different banks and did whatever was possible to put me in a bank with the lowest monthly payment. One young woman around 18/19 years old and an older man worked together on my purchase. The owners of the dealership spoke with me and helped me out throughout my purchase as well. The dealership was properly run and was most definitely family owned. I am from New York and had to travel a great amount of time to Best Choice Auto Sales but it was worth every second of it. If you are looking for GREAT customer service do not go any further. I highly recommend Best Choice Auto Sales .....
Amazing customer service, deals and they work with you. Better then going to any other dealership. I only come here cause they are trustworthy and where else do you get to see and all to the owner on the spot. Great great place can’t wait to do business again. Thank you.
Stay away. I looked at a mazda 3. The bearing in the engine were rsttling so bad it was crazy. Guy had the unmitigated gaul to tell me the oil has to be just right or they make engine noise. Ive owned many mazdas, i am not an idiot, and i am a tech. If you buy from this place they bring your mechanic. They are dishonest.
Great selection of clean cars to choose from. Super helpful staff.
Purchased a car from best choice about a month ago. Have not had any problems with it. Lorraine worked with me and got me the car I wanted at a price I was happy with. I would definitely recommend this dealer to other people.
Story short, I bought a car from these people about six months ago, barely two thousand miles on it from when I bought it, and I have to spend more then 3k in repairs to be able to drive it safely, needs a new oil pump sensor, a new exhaust system, the engine needs to be rebuilt, and more issues. These people are conartists that get good looking junkcars to sell you that they know will break down after their warranty. To anyone thinking about buying from these guys, I implore you to stay away, God Please stay away from this place.
Bought a 2004 Nissan Murano “ no problems, low miles, car runs great” the whole 9 yards. Before going to look at the car, my boyfriend was working up there so he decided to go look at the car first before taking the drive up there myself. Noticed the car had brand new tires, but back passenger was running low. No big deal! Put some air in it. Long story short, there was a huge screw in the tire, exhaust doesn’t even BELONG TO MY CAR, radio doesn’t work, get home, check engine light comes on. And to top it off, today we got a rain storm here in brick, and I got a shower in my car. Stream of water straight from the roof. I expected some problems considering it’s a used car, but not a couple thousand dollar fix. Called them in regards of my situation, and pretty much told my the problem is none of their concern.
Don’t buy a car here, the salesmen are dishonest and selling lemonsEdit: Scrolled down not very far to see just one of many “satisfied” customers...
Sold me a very solid car! They will definitely work with you and try to get you the best deal possible. Everybody else was telling me no or asking for too much and these guys are lifesavers!!!
Only come here if you want to buy a lemon
The good: they got me in a great vehicle under extremely challenging credit circumstances. They worked with me to make the deal work. The meh: the car had been sitting for a while. So, theres a certain set of issues that can arise. While inconvenient, the owners and Lou worked with me to resolve the issues.Bottom line: Great experience overall, in spite of the issues shortly out of the gate.
Ive had my car for one year now and I have never ever had a problem with it. Lorraine and her bosses were nothing but sweet to me, even with my troubling credit score. I dont know what everyone else is talking about, but I really had a great experience at Best Choice Auto.
After a long morning of hunting for my dream convertible car . I was finally blessed when i came to Best Choice Auto Sales. From the convenience to the great customer service. 5 stars all the way !!
I do not recommend it🙆♀️ If I had seen the ones I would never have bought in this dealer, they sell damaged cars, they give you three months of guarantee which is a lie and this place does not work, deceptions and lies. do not go to this place to buy vehicles they will suffer everything that I have suffered
Beware dealing with the salesperson Lou. He tried telling me that that the recommended service for the vehicle (timing belt replacement) was probably done because the vehicle was well maintained. When I mentioned that I did not see it on the Carfax service history, he backtracked and said it would be covered under their warranty. He supposedly was going to try to find out if it was done, but after mentioning the Carfax service history, he hung up on me. Based upon my experience, I would not believe anything he says.
Very attentive eager to help and make sure I was satisfied.
Does not even deserve one star bought a 2008 armada for full price zero discount horrible no deal at all and bought the warranty as per Lou he says take it its great covers everything... well truck needed everything come to find out its a piece of S$%T nothing but issues needs braked rotors air suspension pump air conditioner lines and condenser and struts so the MATH!!!!!... DONT BUY NOTHING WITHOUT GETTING IT CHECKED DONT BUT THE WARRANTY DONT TRUST THEM THERE THEY CARE NOTHING ABOUT THE CUSTOMER ONLY TAKING YOUR MONEY....If you dont believe me email me
I bought a 2008 jeep compass from John. I found the car on cars, com for an amazing price I drove two hours from Otisville NY.when I got there all the paper work was ready the car was fully serviced as promised and I was in and out within a half hour. truly a great experience!!!
Bought a truck there about a month or so with a warranty that cost $700 Lou said get it the warranty covers all so I did a few weeks maybe 2 the car needed everything from brakes to struts and nothing in that warranty is covered truck is a F%$k&N lemon dont buy the warranty nor a car there they dont even care to help fix the issues and I paid full price on the damn truck... smh horrible.... deserves a negative star and should and will be sued....... sincerely unhappy and upset customer......
The salesman were absolutely helpful in all transactions. They were helpful and curtious. I would definitely recommend this car dealer to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.
I thought finding a Manual 2003 V6 Tiburon at an affordable price was an amazing blessing....wrong! Before purchasing the car, I was guaranteed the clutch was new! But within DAYS of driving, I noticed the rpms constantly sticking at 3000-3500 after shifting. I thought I found a reliable dealer and was assured I could always go to them for help if anything seems off. I was mistaken and quickly found I would receive no assistance or rectification. My concerns were constantly blown off by the incredibly rude receptionist and to make matters worse, after I had my car inspected by several mechanics who confirmed the clutch was not new, I was still told by Best Choice the clutch was new and that nothing would be done. Paying out of pocket over $1000 for a new clutch wasnt the worst part. Dealing with dismal customer service was! I would highly recommend abstaining from experiencing what I did! Today was the last straw when my car was towed home after I left it with Best Choice for more problem analysis. WHY? I was it told it wouldnt go in to gear....but as soon as I got home from work I drove it to the store.... and still have no resolution. Not only did the receptionist tell me I could not speak to the owners, but also told me I couldnt talk to them tomorrow, and no response for when I could. After complaining of my terrible experience with the company, and being sold a car with a useless clutch, the receptionist told me I was rude and hung up on me. My advice is to avoid at all cost!
Great place to buy a vehicle friendly people and great personal
Very helpful on all aspects of the car and transaction
I usually dont like anyone, especially used car dealers. We were in the market looking for our 17y.os first car. We wanted something reliable so we narrowed our choices down and started the hunt. We actually came across this place by accident after visiting several used car dealerships in the area. The guy Lou answered all our questions, immediately gave us the carfax (which by the way carfax isnt as accurate as people think), no pressure we came back several times, he addressed all our issues we had and my son is happy and so are we. It helped that my son and husband are knowledgeable about cars but we also did our homework. We were happy with the price and with the service. Even when we wanted something extra, Lou delivered. Was Lou perfect? No! I had to keep on top of him about somethings, but then again Im in finance so Im a money girl and I want things right. But he was a good guy. Who I didnt like was Raritan Bay credit union(who financed the vehicle), they are very incompetent. will never use them or recommend them for anything.(thats another review which i will write under their name). Overall, a positive experience.
Easy going business.great value.does what they say they will do..my experience was completely different than the negative ones I read..go there yourself and make your own opinion,I was glad I did
UNLAWFUL PRACTICES - Did not disclose to me as the seller that the auction (they bought vehicle from - which I bought) found vehicle to have structural damage. This is an unlawful practice through the Motor Vehicle Damage Disclosure Act. I wouldve never bought this car knowing this info. They said they would research info and never called me back. I should be entitled to money back due to repairs I had to make to the car due to this damage.
Customer Service is terrible and the warranty they offer is a joke. Stay away from this place.
I have inquired about a vehicle 3 times with no contact back whatsoever. Also, the vehicle has no photos due to poor weather but I am a photographer for another dealership and there should be photos by now (it has been that way for several weeks)
They sold my son a car that had bad brakes. Took the car to their mechanic 3 times and the brakes are still not fixed. Go there in person to tell them about the problem and the owner and mechanic are conveniently never there! Now, the AC doesnt work. Unsafe and they do not care that what they sold you is a death trap.Do NOT buy a car from this place. Once you leave the lot you are screwed!
Do not go here!!!!! Been less then three months and my car is not drivable. Been to the mechanic 8 times. They bounce u around to different mechanics till ur face warrenty is up. Told me if I didnt want the car I can return it, which was a lie. I am now in the process of going through a lawyer. This the short story! Then after telling them u have a lawyer the guy Lou goes to the mechanic tells them I do have a warrenty but covers nothing?! Cover nothing sounds like a fake warrenty. Well the fake papers they had me sign about having a warranty, call them up .... They have no record of me.DO NOT GO HERE
They definitely are nice when yu meet them....sale yu a non-running car then blame yu for the problems, also if they tell yu they have car fax or service history make sure yu see it because they denied me, nt sure if thats faulse advertising or nt I RECOMMEND NO ONE GOES THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE IN THE SHOP NEXT WEEK.
I purchased the car from this dealer. The car was in good shape, and didnt have not had any problems with it.
Dont believe the fake positive shill reviews below!AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP LIKE THE PLAGUEI bought what appeared to be a good used vehicle and it broke down TWICE in the first 3 hours of me driving it. The first time I managed to put a hold on payment, so they were forced to pay for the repair and give me a warranty, but the second time it was a major problem and the warranty only covered a part of it.Up to that point I had not even driven the vehicle for a full day! They will pretend to be nice to you before they take your money, but afterwards you will have to face the bad cop owner Dave who will stonewall you, insult you and try to shut you down. Instead of solving the problem and taking care of their customers, they will do their best to disavow any responsibility. In the end, I had to pay hundreds of dollars on top of the warranty to fix the car and it is in such condition that if I tried to sell it, I would be out thousands of dollars on top.AVOID! Learn from my mistakes!
Thanks Dave, I never fill these reviews out when the transactions go flawless. But i must let it be known when a dealership stands behind what they sell. Will send more clients your way. All and all, price, value and trust i could not have made a better choice
Never calls back and lazy. Not interested in helping.
Who in good conscience sells a car with bald tires this car was a lemon every day is something new worst car i have ever owned if i could get out from under it tomorrow i would
Dave B is very rude & cocky. If you must go to this place avoid this Jackass. Hell try to screw you over.
Great Customer Service
Sham from the get go. Dont believe a word. Once it is off the lot and the $ are in their hands it is your problem what goes wrong
Great attitude
Fair dealership
Awful people
Buy a navigator and all the time with problems, I do not recommend that site. Here is the proof that it was them that I bought that truck, which even the a / c has problems etc.
Very good attention ERIC LOPPERENA IS THE BEST
Bad experience with them, I bought them a truck and the next day I took it down, supposedly they took it to repair but it was not like that, I have almost three months and they do not solve the problem every day that I go they invent a lie without exaggerating and taking the truck about 30 times because one day always lasts well then it gets ruined, dont buy there I dont want what happened to me
