My first experience shopping at DeCicco was in Pelham. Then I graduated to the Scarsdale store. Its a long story but my point... I enjoy shopping at DeCicco. I shop there at least 4x a week. I hope you maintain the great customer service.
Great staff, wonderful products and swift checkout.
Rediculous prices and poor selection. Few spaces to park
Excellent quality and efficient service.
Easy access and wonderful variety of groceries available. Easy convenient parking, too.
Today I had a chance to visit The newly expanded to DeCicco family market in Scarsdale. I will admit the selection of quality foods is certainly apparent. With changes over time, hopefully they will continue renovations. This supermarket is very dark and ice cold. Its too bad they didnt make windows across the front to brighten up the place. Our family shops in several of these stores. The quality of meats, seafood and cooked foods are of the highest standards. This is definitely a small store and maneuvering around is difficult. At least they have check out counters at both entrances. Parking is absolutely hideous. The real benefit of this family market is quality foods. The service is excellent. The management is kind and considerate. Its really too bad that they are housed in an aging building that needs some serious upgrades. If youre a Scarsdale socialite, its worth the trip!
I try to avoid. Staff act bothered that customers are in the store shopping. I could give plenty of examples. The latest example - 8 minutes before closing I was looking in the freezer for something to purchase and the clerk literally asked me to move so that he could turn the light off in the freezer I was shopping in. I couldnt see in the freezer anymore. It was that ridiculous. He couldn’t be bothered to wait til closing or come back. So I did move. Out the door to another grocery store.
I like DeCiccos Market. They have good stock, are helpful, keep a clean store, good hours, and have a good organic produce section.
I was pleasantly surprised as I had been their for a while. Good selection in depth. Clean
I have mixed feelings about this market. Its proximity to the Parkway is great. The staff is helpful, but the word friendly cant be used. It seems to have a very old world supermarket crew in a store trying to be upscale. The cashiers are efficient, but frightening. Sorry, but its true. They have unique, high quality things mixed with normal ubiquitous products. They are more costly than other places, but better things cost more money. The produce section isnt great and the produce doesnt seem that fresh to charge such premiums. Their meat department is relatively comprehensive and good quality and the meat moves quickly. They got better at social distancing since their tragic beginnings when COVID began, but could still be better. They shouldve just closed the parking lot and expanded the store because that lot is frightening. My BIGGEST complaint is their dating of the food and using a sell by date is non-existent. Cmon!? You gotta start putting dates on the food. Three stars because I still go, but only three because I still have to go elsewhere for better quality produce and sometimes I cant abide how cramped the place is.
Congratulations Youve forced me to write my first review ever. Youve lost my support. Ive been shopping there for my 20 year career in the emergency service. Not because its so good but because Im a captive audience. But no More. Due the current Covid climate weve been working crazy extra hours (as I am sure so is he). I needed groceries for my next few meals as I was asked to stay for another shift. One register open with 50 people on line. I walked to the service desk and asked to be checked out as I only had a few items. The manager told me no. I understand how that would look as I was in uniform and on duty except there was no register or people in that end of the store. So therefore there would have been no customers to upset. Just a shrug. So I left. For good. I will be spreading the word. They say they want to thank first responders. This would have been so simple.
Super sweet, helpful staff and the best deli guys in the area. Excellent meat department, very clean, and they will always cut you anything you want. The parking lot brings about fantasies of murder though...
Mad good beer. Also fire 🔥
Good store
Very good managers in scarsadsle location. Their staff are ordering items that y request that are not presentlty stacked on shelves due to difficulty in getting routine items that were normally stacked prior to covid occurrence .
Good local grocery store with good selection and prices. Great beer variety
Newly remodeled store looks great. Waiting to see if the new traffic patterns make for easier shopping, but it is wider and larger. And nicely freshened up.
Great local market with many high-end specialty items. Very convenient location by train station although parking lot can be busy on weekends. Steam table food is surprisingly great. Both meat and deli departments are fantastic. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Slightly pricier than near by supermarkets but often very good sales make up for that.
I really enjoy DeCicco in Scarsdale. The personnel are friendly yet professional. For a small market the variety of of products is exceptional. I especially like their made to go table and deli. The small fish counter is excellent. DeCicco Market is one of my favorite shopping sites in the greater NYC area.
High prices but very convenient. For a small supermarket tey have a great selection of products. I often stop here on my way home from work to pick up a few things. Its easy. They have a small parking lot out the back which often fills up. When this happens there is street parking--just make sure you have change as the meter maids are crazy.
I have been a customer of DeCicco’s for over twenty years and while some of their products might be a little more expensive than the larger supermarkets, they were one of the first supermarkets to stop selling cigarettes years ago. Their lox, whitefish and other deli items are par excellent and they have a dedicated staff, many who have worked at the store for years. This afternoon I had a remarkable experience that says a great deal about why I love shopping at DeCicco’s. As I was walking into their store, I noticed a man who had gotten off the train, crossing the street and then almost slip on black ice as he was walking from the street to the sidewalk near the entrance of DeCicco’s. I went inside the store and saw one of the managers, Flora. I explained what I had seen and she walked outside with me as I pointed to where the black ice was on the street. We agreed that, technically, it wasn’t the responsibility of the store since the black ice was on the road and their sidewalk was clear. However as I was leaving the store a few minutes later one of the employees was salting the entire area that was icy! While this may not seem like a good reason to shop at DeCicco’s, to me this is indicative of how much they value their customers!
Even though the products organization and disposition are not helpful, the staff working on them is outstandingly kind, receptive and makes you feel like family. They are always there for you, asking you how they can attend you better, making the experience a way better!
Great, as always...
A small and local grocery store with overpriced items all around. It is fairly clean considering people are constantly walking around there, all of the shelves seem to be stocked properly with little to no mess. I would and do come back here once in a while if I wish to spend a bit more on food for my home.
Nice and clean! Great product selection. Amazing shopping experience!
It has always been a good place to food shop; even better now since they expanded - nice produce; nice selection of brands; excellent deli dept; good seafood section; all around good alternative to the Shop Rite and Stop & Shop dominators.
They are upgrading the store. Looking nicer
The store is clean and you can find everything since they expanded their store.I will return soon.
Best Supermarket...they have a little of EVERYTHING: organic, hot food, Japanese Sushi Bar, etc etc...and The Market is just the right size so you don’t need to walk forever to find something. A+
Its expensive and the parking sucks. The hot bar isnt bad though. But if you can go to another store, chances are youll have a better shopping experience. I hear the other decicco stores are quite nice though.
Fresh fruits n vegetables. Delicious hot food
The food is good, yet the prices have me on a diet. Whole Foods is cheaper.
The store horrible.....dark lighting. 🍣 looked disgusting...tried to get prepared salad at deli, that did not look good either....the sliding door where the salads, deli meat is taken in and out looked absolutely disgusting. Anything that is not pre packaged from a manufacturer i would not advise eating/buying....it looks as if this store never gets cleaned properly
Pretty good experience, Hot food very good. Could be pretty expensive, but Ok!
Great variety of locally made prepared foods. Good prices. Welcoming staff.
For a quick stop for food, snack or anything else. This is the place to go.
They got British chocolate. Well stocked small store. With good deli and fish butchers departments.
Very good selection of produce. There are very good prices for all produce.
Very good produce and meat selection. There are very good prices for food.
Got extremely sick from their prepared hot food, Never again!
Great selection and quality, particularly for a fairly small grocery store. It’s definitely pricey, but worth supporting.
Always, always check the expiration date on products from DiCicco’s- their shelves seem to be full of expired products ...
In formed by employee theres no restroom available. Store appears old and crowded with narrow aisles. It smelled of a strong cleaning agent.
Unique supermarket. Good for specialty items
Honestly, the store itself is fine. It packs a lot of variety and choices in a small, aging, chaotic store. The problem is the shoppers. They are pompous and rude. Even the staff at the butcher has an attitude. Go there for the food, don’t expect a pleasant experience
Small but with good range of products, like everything in Scarsdale nice and pricey $$$
Needs a total revamp. Try Traders Joes 10 minutes away
Attentive and friendly workers. Great place to shop.
Absolutely wonderful! The staff is always polite and helpful!
The service is excellent always ready to help you
Good beer selection. The same goes for the cheese. Cheap items are expensive, some expensive items are cheap haphazardly throughout the store.
Good selection of quality food and goods. Located just in front of the Scarsdale train station.
Nice clean store. Courteous help at store.
Over priced but extremely convenient if you just need to run in and out for something. There is a small parking lot in the back of the store.
Convenient but overpriced with a poor selection. I can hear the staff gossiping about the customers in Spanish.
Nice place with friendly people 😁 😉
Small, cramped, expensive and a bit dirty this market has been serving Scarsdale Village for decades. But if it werent for an older community that would prefer not to drive to a larger supermarket itd likely be out of business.
Great quality, customer service and product assortment !
Fresh food and vegetables. A little pricey but worth.it
Friendly, knowledgable staff, good fish, meat & deli depts, cozy aisles.
Prices are high and stock limited. Staff is friendly, great fish department.
I was in and out of this place, which was great. But, I passed by numerous employees, you would think at least one person would say hello.
Great family owned supermarket chain
Good food but pricey!
A little expensive!
Great food for thoughts
This grocery store has most of the vegan items I use. I always stop here to pick a few things up, before heading home.
Love the fresh sushi bar
Good rich people place
Different varieties of products that are hard to find in a typical grocery store
The one in Ardsley is better
Small and dated but good in a pinch
Great store great selection
Excellent products and friendly help
Great deli department!
Great sovereigns but expensive
Impressive beer selection.
Isles are kinda tight. Some selection is good, but many items are overpriced.
Too expensive and kind of skeezy
