I sent an email to Steve and I believe he is the owner of this business. I was inquiring about embroidery he replied one time then after never received any other response. I wonder how this business stay open with no customer service?
Ive had jackets and shirts embroidered at the Schaumburg location for years, always a good experience. Ive always gotten them back in a timely manner. It helps to be a repeat customer and have the logo on file...
I ordered shirts for a non-profit organization Im in in Oct. I gave them a month to complete them. It was a small order so I thought this was plenty of time and they told me they could have them done by then. A week before the deadline, I call to check on the order and they tell me they will check and call me back. I never received a call back so I called again about two weeks later. Same thing, was gonna check and call me back. No call back so I call again a week later. They tell me they lost the order. I resend the order and call back and check a few weeks later, shirts are still not done and they have no ETA. I give him a week to give me the shirts or at least an accurate ETA or I will take my business elsewhere. I call back and still no shirts. I give him one last shot and give him one more week. NEVER got the shirts, just some apologies. Apologies mean nothing if you do nothing to rectify the issue. I was more than patient and gave them 4 months to complete about 30 shirts. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I have had several Shirts embroidered with this business, they are always helpful and responsive!I look forward to doing more business with them in the future. The nature of the projects we work on entails a lot of communication about projects that never materialize, Embroidme in Schaumburg has been very understanding about this and continues to be helpful even though they spent time with me before and didnt get anything out of it.I really appreciate their openness and customer service and all the work they have done has been exemplary.. even when it was just embroidering 1 logo on 1 shirt that I brought in.
Steve the owner is the most incompetent business owner I have ever encountered. I was a loyal customer for two years for some stupid reason. He messed up every single order. (over $3000 in orders in two years). I would repeat order the same things and the font was always different sizes and colors. I am pretty relaxed about things so never really made a huge deal about it. He always says a week and a half to two weeks. And it always ended up being 6-8 weeks. The last order I placed over seven weeks ago. Ten hats to be embroidered, the same way I have done them ten times. A very simple order...And I call and email at least 5 times each over the span of a week and as always he doesnt return. So I drive a half hour out of my way to stop in and see whats going on. All he has to say is two more weeks. I cancelled my order. He has lost my companys business for good. As a fellow small business owner it takes a lot for me to write a negative review. This guy is unbelievably disrespectful and the customer service is horrible. Do yourself a favor and stay away from embroidme in Schaumburg, owned by Steve Schroeder. Negative five starts. You should be ashamed of yourself Steve.
My business partner and I were looking for embroidery for our 2nd small start up a couple weeks ago. We wanted to try to set up a relationship with a local place instead of offshoring our business, maybe American quality and service would be better? Called ahead and asked if we could set up an appointment to discuss designs, pricing and what not. Was told to walk in and talk to STEVE. So we walk in, casually dressed (mind you, we are relatively young) and asked to talk to STEVE. A very large man walks up and I can see the judgment already taking place in his eyes. So we give him a brief explanation of what we are looking to purchase. (A small order of 24 as a sampler, however we did not tell him 24 was just to begin) After I show him the complex art, Steve starts to explain briefly and in as little detail as possible how to process works with a very Unless youre about to drop at least $5000, I dont care attitude. I open to a blank page in our sketchbook and ask him to write down the prices he was describing and instead of taking the time, HE TOSSED A PEN AT THE NOTEBOOK AND SAID Ill tell you the prices but you can write them down. Trying to contain myself, I didnt say anything and scribbled down some of his outrageous numbers told him to have a nice day and left. To give you an idea of how much this guy is ripping people off, he quoted me about $1000 for 24 heavily embroided sweatshirts. The company we ended up going with are in southeast Asia and charge about a 1/32th of what STEVE wanted. They send proofs before they print, the quality is there and these people want to bow at your feet for your business. I would go as far as to say that STEVE is part of the problem why big corporations move their production offshore. STEVE is a perfect example as a matter of fact. Dont buy from STEVE and dont be a STEVE.
