Purchased a pair of skates I thought would work from their online site. Too short so decided to stop in for a fitting/exchange. Steve fitted me for a new pair of Bauer Supremes that fit like a glove. Explained the process thoroughly from the foot scan to the different brands and fits. Was probably the best experience I have ever had in a hockey store. Thank you Steve!

Have gone here 2 times in the past few months. We are a return customer thanks to the employee Steve! He is great and deserves a raise!! So helpful and polite. He knows what he’s doing and you can tell he enjoys his job!!

Purchased a pair of TRUE skates and decided to have Pure Hockey install the Bauer holders. Unlike the first pair of True skates purchased 3 years ago these skate are very painful for my son to play in and the rivets for the Bauer holders keep pulling out. We first noticed issues with the holders when the skate sharpenings were way off due to holder warping steel. Resolved by purchasing a runner holder for our Sparks machine. Contacted TRUE and they suggested 8 copper rivets per skate, which we had Pure install on Sunday and they didn’t even last 1 practice. They say quality is long remembered after the price, not in this case. In addition to $1,200.00 paid and multiple charges to install the holders onto the skate. This has been an entire waste of TIME AND MONEY! If you want the Bauer holder purchase the Bauer’s custom skates. Stay away from TRUE. They just drilled the skates to fit the Bauer holder and left us hanging with huge problems. SKATES THAT DONT FIT! HOLDERS THAT WARP STEEL! HOLDERS THAT DONT FIT SKATE!

Beautiful hockey place, tons of new equipment. I havent played hockey since I was 8 to 11 years old and Steve gave me the best equipment for the best price. And was helpful throughout the whole time I was there. He went overboard and even helped me get a new stick, the best way to tie my new skates. And gave me the best skates for my size (Baurer Supreme) An excellent guy, and im glad I bumped into him today. I would recommend this place for anyone starting or looking to play roller or ice hockey. Or even if youre just a fan of the blackhawks they have tons of items in stock.

Hard to find a decent brick and mortar hockey shop anymore, everyone seems to go online now. I just dont like buying sticks or skates without trying them on first, so I bring all my business here.Service...the kids are knowledgeable but it is the typical rink rat trying to sell you what is trendy, not what meets your needs the most. But, I was that kid once too, so Im not going to complain.

I went there once to get inline skates and the associate (Leno) who helped fit me was very knowledgeable about the equipment. Although I did have another associate the second time I went, who wasnt helpful at all. The store is well organized and neat and they seem to have everything you could possibly need for roller and ice hockey.

My son wanted to try try on and get fitted for a pair of in-line skates, employee was very helpful working with my son, even though we werent purchasing on that visit. AFew days later, ended buying skates online through Total Hockey, as they had the best price anywhere. Schaumburg is a great location and excellent staff!!!!

I have always been happy with their skate sharpening service in the past. But my son kept falling on ice since last sharpening. I checked my sons skates and found out that there are bumps and burrs about one inch away from the toe end on both skates. So I took the skates to the store this morning. I told the guy at the store that last sharpening was not done the guy who usually does it for us but a teenager instead and it was a poor service. I told him that the burrs should be removed and sharpening should go all the way to the toe to get rid of the bumps. He told me to stop telling him how to do this because hes been doing this for a long time and I have to pay again if I want to get the skates fixed. I just left the store told myself to never go back again. Bad employee training and bad customer service!

Tim helped my 11 year old with new skates, he was patient and helpful with finding the right skate at the right price.

I bought skates here they guy helping me didnt know much and I ended up with a skate that doesnt fit right. Three years later Im stuck with an expensive pair of skates that wont break in because they just dont fit right. They hire anyone not necessarily hockey people that know what they are talking about.

April 8, 2016. Just left the store. Worked with Kevin Kraus, the store manager. I had no idea what is the right skate and size for me. I told Kevin I am a new ice skater, took up skating recently to ice skate with my 4 year old grandson. I told him I do quad roller skating and I love the suede and thin leather feel on my Riedell Boots. I went in the store for a Bauer or CCM. He educated me on what to look for. He was very patient with me trying various sizes, in different Bauer and CCM. After trying a few sizes, we narrow it down to size 7.5 Bauer 170. Although it was the best fit, it was just ok. Based on my history, he recommended Easton. I tried one on, and by golly, it fitted like a glove. It was so comfortable and it hugged my ankles well. He did not have the 7.5 so he will order a 7.5 and 8.0 for my fitting next week. I cant wait. Thank you Kevin.Mario C. UyStreamwood IL

GREAT! I went in for elbow pads and a new stick. When I asked the associate johnny he was really nice and helpful. He seemed like he wanted to be there and like his job. He helped me finding the same stick I had and helped with sizing of pads. Even the check out was good. Rishika the cashier was really nice and told me about the breakaway card and showed how it was worth it to get one. If I didnt live far from there that would be the place to go everytime! Much better than Elmhurst
