I bought my first helmet and also riding gloves here. It took several visits to get the fit of the helmet right and every time the salespeople (especially Chris) were patient and very helpful. My latest visit to cycle gear Neil helped me with my new gloves. The only downside is the store is a little short on inventory (some helmet sizes/color combos, for example), but everywhere is these days, that’s the new normal. You can order what is in stock online and have it delivered to the store or your home address for free. Overall a great no pressure experience, I got exactly what I needed.

Huge thanks to Christian, John & Neal for having helped me on exchanging my newest helmet and John really went out of his way to make sure I got something with the proper fit. Switched to Arai for next year, and scored a beautiful Corsair-X!! Thanks Guys!

This place was great! Staff was wonderful, knowledgeable and very attentive. Jon and Justin really went the extra mile to help my wife and I get fitted for everything we need to be safe on the road. They even attached/set up our bluetooth devices to our helmets, as well as installed the anti-fog shields and gave us drinks to be sure we were comfortable. This place had everything we wanted in stock and the checkout was simple. Very pleased with our experience and would highly recommend!

Went in looking for a beginner helmet that you can wear glasses comfortably with. I have the larger square converse style glasses for context. Neal politely greeted my husband and I, and I explained what I was looking for. I cant thank this gentleman enough for his time, patience, and knowledge as he explained to us the design and function of the different materials. He was not only very professional, but personable too and we enjoyed hearing a little of his background. You can tell that he truly cares in the service he provides. He also answered all my follow up questions about proper helmet care, and showed us the products we can use. My husband and I will definitely be returning customers.

Little bit of a drive, but a great place to shop. So far Ive found cycle gear to be really a great to shop for gear. Sometimes it helps to have an alternative place to shop other then a dealer. Where as we all know some things are just a bit much. Cycle gear has something for everyone and every budget. If a store doesnt have a particular item, another store near may have it, convenient for you if you can pick it up. Unlike online shopping being able to see and try it on to make sure it fits is well worth the time of being able to go to brick and mortar to make sure .otherwise what a total waste of time waiting and returning and hoping it fits when you do get back. Online does have a major draw back. Walking in and finding what you need and walking out with it priceless.Thanks cycle gear.

I’m new to riding so I had a lot of questions and Jon was very very patient and helpful with getting me set up with gear and he shared some great riding tips as well. I would definitely recommend this store if you are looking for riding gear as they had a wide variety of jackets, pants and helmets. They were limited in shoe sizes for boots but I still found a pair that worked for me.

The team member that helped me at the Schaumburg store was very helpful. I new what jacket I was looking for. The team member pointed out the other features of the jacket and helped me find one that fit properly.

I wish I would have remembered the name of the girl that helped us. She was just so friendly and willing to help us. She was trying to do her job and we kept interrupting her with questions and not one time she seemed bothered by that. I think they changed the layout of their store too and I think they used to have more stuff but I still go there for gear anyway. I have a store closer to home, but Id rather go to this one 10 times.

Went to purchase the Trackside Wheel Chock. I saw online that there were some in inventory, and when I came in-person, they had plentiful available. I was able to go in and check out quickly. The customer service was excellent, and asked if there were any additional items I want to check out. I told them it was only the wheel chock for today.

Looking for oil for an oil change. Checked the website on what was available. Was able to find what I needed and whether it was in stock at my store. Got suggestions from store associate on which product to use and purchased it. Great service in the store!

Im glad these guys are in my backyard, Ive found some great deals on some great products here over the years and now that the store has doubled in size its actually a nice place to visit/shop.

Nicole at the Schaumburg location was the picture of EXCELLENT customer service. She was extremely knowledgeable of not only the products I asked about, she also made some great suggestions in regard to helmets and jackets. Extremely friendly and helpful. I will most definitely be visiting this location again.

Awesome staff! Even though they were busy, they still found plenty of time to help me find what I was looking for, and even answered my technical questions about my specific model year bike from over 40 years ago! I definitely plan on coming back here for my parts and intuition needs!

This was my first time going to this store and every was clean, well kept, and overall great. The staff was very friendly, helpful and awesome to talk to as well. They give you advice on things or help you out with anything youre looking for. They really made it feel like I was welcome without any pressure. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for gear. They have a large variety and if they dont, they will have it delivered so that they do. This is my go to shop for motorcycle equipment from now on.

Neal was great help in picking out an ATV helmet for me and my wife. Not many stores in the area carry ATV/Motocross products.

I wish the womens section was larger. I went in looking for mesh riding pants, the selection wasnt very big. I was also hoping to find a new jacket, as mine is a couple years old and I was in the mood for something new. The mesh jackets were also in short supply and the one I currently have is still the main product being sold, in the same color. No womens base layers, no womens cooling under layers AMD nothing available in mens sizes that would fit me either.

Staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. John helped me out and was fantastic. Ill be a customer for life now, thanks guys.

A totally different experience. I visited this store after buying my first motorcycle looking for clothes and a helmet with which I would feel comfortable on my motorcycle, since a sales representative entered the store under the name of Chris he helped me with all the questions I had. without any problem until I came out with a new jacket and helmet according to my taste, never without feeling pressure that I should buy something. Excellent service and great variety, not to mention the prices, this is definitely now one of my favorite stores.

Great people working there, extremely helpful to choose the right size

Very friendly staff at this store. Mostly geared towards the street bike and motocross. I was looking for a half helmet for my wife and only found one or two options. Im sure they cater to their target market. They have all kinds of full face helmets to chose from.

I have 2 bikes I needed to get ride ready for the summer. Each time I needed a battery the staff was too incompetent to provide me the correct one. Made 2 trips for one Bike. For the other Bike I had to wait near 3 months to get a battery. I ended up getting a battery the next week of waiting when I ordered it because another shop (not cycle gear associated) had the correct one. Only had to ask them once. After waiting for 3 months, I decided to call and ask where the battery was because I was going to shelf it due to already having the battery from a different shop. This place then tells me they still dont have the correct sealed battery. Then they tried to up sell another battery. Seriously ridiculous. I kept the receipt and had to get a refund, 5 Trips later. If you have a question, I highly recommend not asking Jesse. He doesnt seem to know much about Bikes.

Fantastic people working there. Jesse in particular, has helped me since the moment I stepped foot into the building. I was in the market for a new helmet, jacket and communication system. Jesse did not seem bothered by any and all questions I had. Answered them to the best of his ability. Would definitely recommend Jesse to a family or friend if they were looking for new gear. Over all 10/10 on experience there.

I purchased the wrong face shields for my helmet on line and went to the local Schaumburg IL store to see if they could help me with a local exchange. To say that the team in this store is anything else but outstanding would be wrong. I have an older helmet that I like but it is out of production. They searched the store and local other stores and ended up finding me two shields to replace the ones I incorrectly bought. The team communicates fantastic and has a strong drive to offer excellent customer service. This is my local go to store and every experience I have had at this location has been incredible! They expanded the store and now have more available in one location.They cant be beat!

Together with my wife we got our Jackets and gloves here, very nice stuff, they will help you with they right advice and products, when we couldnt find jacket for my wife they went on phone call other stores found the last one it the size and put it for as on hold so it can be shipped to this store or we could drive to pick it up in Schaumburg IL. Cycle Gear now has the ability to let you text the store to ask questions. Thats genius! Texted the Schaumburg store about a lens for my helmet. They had three in stock and put them on hold for me. Within 30 min I was out the door with a new Lens and snapped it on my helmet in the parking lot. The staff in the store was helpful and gave tips on product that would stop fogging and scratches. Very friendly. I ran across Cycle Gear in TX had the same good experience there as I did here in IL. Thank you!

I previously used to buy all my gear online, but for my second helmet I decided to come into a brick and mortar store. I was not disappointed at all with my experience, I feel I got the absolute perfect fit by coming in to try on the lid I was looking at and after owning it for a while I can say its much more comfortable than my first lid. You can bet that Ill be coming back when I feel I need to swap out my other pieces of gear, or need some other bike accessories!

Horrible service. They made me wait a long time, plus Ive been lied to, right from the beginning about the return policy,meaning rubbed. Do not visit this store, save your time,nerves and money. I will never come back here for the rest of my life!!!

Brought in two sets of wheels+tires. Waited four days to be told one set is done and tubes would have to be ordered for the other set. But I can pick up the set thats done. I pick up the set that are done and find they didnt take the wheel weight off a wheel when changing the tire. Which caused the weight to drag and scratch all around the edge of the wheel. The wheel had previous damage on the other side but that doesnt make it ok to cause more damage. And Im still waiting for the other set to get done now 5 days later. I didnt complain because of the previous wheel damage, but after the wait and damage caused I wont be coming back.

Poor service. Took 3 people to help me get a jacket. Not one of them seemed intrested in answering any questions I had. And when looking for other items there was frustration shown. I purchased what I did because I had a gift card theres remaining funds on this gift card and I will be giving it away because I will not be returning there. Not everyone is a cycling expert and we expect to have service and assistance when looking for items and things that we need. It would be more helpful if theyre willing to answer questions and stay with you while youre making a large purchase or any purchase for that matter. I guess you have to be an expert in order to get good service. I was there for over 35 min with at least 15 of it waiting for help. Dont go unless you want to be rushed out and unless you know exactly what you want. Very unhappy with the service and that is sad since they came highly recommended by multiple riders. I shared this story and the feedback was yeah thats how they are but once you go a few times they are usually good. Sorry but if your a customer you should get good service no matter how many times you have been there.

Bought my helmet, boots, pants, jacket, gloves, winter undergarments, and motorcycle accessories all by recommendation from John the manager. All recommendations were great and all products are exceeding my expectations. Great service,good products at nice prices.

Very happy with my helmet/Bluetooth purchase! Have used Cycle Gear for years when I was in California and when I moved here I was glad to find a Cycle Gear nearby. Jesse is a wealth of knowledge and helped me every step of the way. May have even gone above and beyond as I had come in several times and hadn’t purchased anything. But when I came in today he was as friendly and helpful as the first time I came in. Walked out with over $1000 worth of merchandise (paid for of course!). Thanks Cycle Gear! Will be back in the spring for a new helmet for my wife and daughter!
