I recently ordered a Henry from Upstate, This is the first firearm I have ordered online and they made it easy. I had a couple questions and Craig responded to all of them and made me feel at ease on the shipping process. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to do business with Upstate to do it you will not regret it.

Excellent service and the prices were more than reasonable they were fantastic. I found a hard to get gun that I was looking for a while nobody else had it but them. They have a lot of product for a small place. They became my new gun shop beat all the other shops Ive purchased guns at hands down!!!

Bought an M&P 15 from them earlier last year and had it modified to a thordsten stock to make it NY compliant. Didn’t realize this until now knowing much more than I did at the time of purchase, I realized that they never gave me the original buffer tube and stock in addition to the modified gun. After all I paid for the featureless modification parts, labor, and I paid for the original buffer tube, and stock. And I should have walked home with every piece. I feel like that was a bit shady. Especially now when I have to buy a new stock and buffer tube and pistol grip to switch it to a pinned mag setup.

I can honestly say after having visited the gun stores in this area this is by far the best. The workers are very knowledgeable, attentive, and try their best to help you compare but don’t pressure you into making a purchase. They have a solid selection with good pricing

Great shop! I’m a beginner and unlike other local shops who could hardly break away from their buddies to talk to me, the staff at 𝐔𝐩state took their time, answered all my questions, really were patient and helpful. I ended up buying 2 rifles and Upstate will be my go to for all my purchases and training.

My wife went in to purchase a firearm for home protection. She loves her Mossberg 500 410 Pump action with pistol grip. It was a perfect gun for home invasion protection. Very practical with the short barrel for maneuverability in tight quarters. Jim did a great job as well as the rest of the staff! Thank’s again Upstate Gun’s and Ammo!!

This was my first time buying a firearm of any kind. I wanted to get a rifle but wasnt sure which one. I looked around for a few minutes and then was greeted by an employee who asked what I was looking for. So I told him that I was looking for my first rifle and I never fired a gun before. I told him I heard a .22 was starting caliber. He agree and suggested the Smith & Wesson M&P15. After a few more questions I made my purchase of the S&W M&P15. The process went smooth and I was out the door in less than a half hour. $570 for a .22 rifle and 500 .22 rounds. Im happy. The store is nice size, everything is displayed neatly and most importantly the staff is knowledgeable and nice; which is a plus for someone that has never owed a firearm or been in a gun store. Thanks again, Ill be back in the future.

I never had a bad experience at Upstate Guns. The staff is friendly and attentive. I was in there to buy a holster for my .38 snub and I saw the .45 Remington R1s that I now own. Layaway was no problem. I also took the advanced pistol course with Lisa and Bruce. Lisa went way out of her way to help me get the needed paperwork notorized for the advanced pistol application.

About a year ago I was looking for a Colt 1911 45 ACP and I believe that Upstate is the only local Colt dealer. I stopped in spoke to Cliff and Craig found my 1911 and it is now my primary gun shop. The staff are terrific, very knowledgeable and in my experience very fair. I have been to most if not all the shops in the Capital Region, at Upstate I have never felt pressured. Great people and I highly recommend them.

Friendly & knowledgeable staff, makes the purchasing process low pressure and enjoyable. They know a lot, but even if they dont know the answer to your question theyll admit they arent sure and find out for you instead of BSing- I respect that. A previous (and still currently) used car dealership turned shooting sports store. Knowledgeable staff with an inventory that has continued to grow. Prices were competitive in the beginning, but have gone up in price lately. I believe that they are a Glock Blue Label participant. Sometimes its hard to pull out of the parking lot, because State St. is very busy.

Reasonable pricing, totally knowledgable and courteous service. Nuff said.

Craig, Lisa, and Cliff are amazing! I only recently obtained my pistol permit, and as one should, in my opinion, I had a lot of questions regarding what would be right for me. They are so helpful and have so much knowledge on the firearms and accessories I have ever inquired about. I trust their knowledge and their opinions and I havent been steered wrong thus far. I even took the class In which both Lisa and her husband hold to obtain ones permit . I have also signed up for training on target practice so I can then move towards my unrestricted! There is no one else I would put my trust into! Check them out, you won’t regret it!

Cliff and Craig are who I dealt with. I brought a firearm to be repaired here and it sat in a corner for many months. They told me they had ordered a part for it but I later discovered they never had. I ended up taking it back without being repaired. It was only missing a screw. I also ordered a large box of 9 mm ammunition that never came in. I had to find a different dealer.

Knowledable staff and a great selection of firearms and ammo. If they dont have it in stock, they will get it for you. A toy store for grown ups. You wont regret going.

Friendly and helpful but prices are 20% more than any other gun shop around. Gave me an absurd reason, like the pistol they sell is somehow better than than exact same model in another gun shop. Okay.....
