Really enjoyed this place. The boba was just right, semi sweet and flavorful. On this note, it seems like a good place to sit down and enjoy a beverage and a dessert (once they open the dining room). Inside it has a nice open and spacious ambiance. Highly recommend. Cotton candy on top of boba is an extra!
Edited after reading owners reply: I’ve come here 3 times. The first time it was great. They have a wonderful and whimsical selection of macaroons, all tasted great. The second time I came I thought they were closed (lights off, chairs up) so I sadly went back to my car. The third time, same thing - thought they were closed. The sign at the front even said closed. As I was walking back to my car, I saw someone else go in. They were open! Advice - they might look closed but they are probably open if it’s during business hours. Go in, it’s worth it! Macaroons are phenomenal.
This is one of the cutest little out of the way places you could stumble into. Its clean, its chic, the food is delicious. They not only make the macarons to perfection, they also have such unique flavors. Im still craving their fruity pebbles flavor! Cant wait to be in Arizona again so I can get my fix. No other macarons will do now.
I was very impressed. Great customer service. Explained menu items to me as well as gave a few good recommendations. The Macaroons were very good. The Iced coffee and lemonades were just as good. Even though the inside seating is closed for covid, they had a cute table outside we could sit at and enjoy. The ambiance inside is very insta-worthy, if you’re into that sort of thing. Definitely recommend as a cute mini date spot then maybe a walk around old town. I’d like a better variety though.
Located in downtown Scottsdale, in a nice area with plenty to see!Went on a Wednesday, mid afternoon & there was parking and it was quiet. They offer drinks with boba, but apparently there’s a boba shortage? Not sure how, I’ve been to some other local businesses within the last week that offer boba and have not had an issue about there being a shortage. Regardless, the shop is very aesthetically pleasing, put together and nice looking.Price for the macarons($62 for 20) is expensive, especially when I could get 18 macarons at (Paris Rendez-vous in the Desert Ridge Marketplace) for $20 cheaper. At the time I got my order I did not mind paying the price, especially with all the different unique flavors, but after trying 3 I most definitely am underwhelmed & unimpressed. The 3 that I did try were stale tasting, The fruity pebble filling tasted like Bavarian buttercream (more buttery taste) and right in the middle a big chunk of (white chocolate) I think? The lavender one was meh, and the drumstick one also tasted as if it was filled with Bavarian buttercream, the waffle cone pieces were stale. The macaron itself was also stale, or like frozen, unfrozen and a repeated process of freezing and unfreezing.I won’t be returning, it’s overpriced & although they offer different flavors you can’t really taste the flavors!I was hoping for more, especially with all the good reviews.
Gorgeous bakery with such delicious treats 🥰🥰🥰 highly recommend!
Food: Overpriced, so brace yourself. However, I will say the flavor is well worth the splurge. I would recommend the Chocolate Chip Cookie and Neopolitan macaroons. Their Matcha boba drink with cotton candy is also quite fantastic and mind the Vietnamese coffee, it is cold brew so it wont be as thick as a normal Vietnamese coffee.Atmosphere: Crisp and to the point. The greenery adds to their minimalistic style with their products placed purposefully on shelves. But the large table in the middle of their shop obscures the beautifully crafted pastries and, on first sight, doesnt help create a comforting environment for patrons who enter. In other words, the brass chairs, quiet atmosphere, and hard tables dont invite me to sit down and chat for longer than a couple minutes.Service: Ive had the same girl who has served me the past three visits and she has always done a spectacular job, giving recommendations and being very kind.Overall: Great little shop with lots of eye candy and delicious, but expensive, delicacies and drinks. Fantastic for a girls hangout or a quick drop-by for something delicious.
I worked a wedding that had a cake made by Ruze, and it was absolutely gorgeous! It was pretty, sturdy, and a great overall cake for a wedding.
I’ve only had a few things from here, including macarons and a beverage, and I wasn’t too impressed. Everything looked amazing and so, so cute but just tasted like sugar. Their cakes look immaculate and beautiful, so if you need a cake for a special occasion, this is a great spot. They also have the cutest sugar cookie designs, especially around the holidays. The service for me has always been so friendly. All in all, this is a cute spot; hopefully they can figure out how to balance their flavors a little better with the sweetness because they have some really fun, creative flavors.
Riding Tandem had the pleasure of working with this company this past weekend for a wedding and it was nothing but wonderful! The cake turned out absolutely amazing !!
So many options! The price is reasonable for its amazing quality and quantity. Plan to go there more frequently to try new ones.
What an amazing experience ordering the great assortment of the macarons today and the quality of them is out of this world! The lemonade is so refreshing its a must!
I love their selection! The cakes are works of art! What a great spot to grab something fast or get a cake for any occasion!
I placed an order and the cupcakes were not AT ALL like the cupcakes that were pictured online when I placed the order. The cupcakes I picked up looked cheap, poorly frosted, the flowers were leaning, messy, and disheveled, and the cupcakes were in a black wrapper when pictured in a clean crisp white wrapper on the website. These cupcakes were supposed to be the focal piece of my sisters baby shower desserts and ended up completely ruining the dessert table. I would have assumed that when spending 100.00 for a dozen cupcakes that you would get high quality beautiful pastries vs. the cheap grocery store looking cupcakes that were given to me. I would never recommend using Ruze cake house to anyone.
I wasn’t at all impressed. Reserved a cupcake box for Mother’s Day, under the assumption based on the post that the $42 cost was for a dozen, nope. It was for six. $7 a cupcake and they weren’t even good. The bread was super dry and hard, the buttercream was mediocre at best, and they looked nowhere near as pretty as they do in the pictures. The flowers were really really sloppy. I am all for paying good money for a good product, but this fell extremely short.
Beautiful work with the cake at a recent wedding I was working at!
Placed a delivery order for some macarons. They cancelled it. Never got my order.
The team at Ruze Cakehouse is amazing! The flavor choices are all unique and delicious! I have to eat gluten-free and I can honestly say that this was the best gluten-free cake I’ve ever had! In addition to the amazing wedding cake, the in-store macaroons are a wonderful treat (and gluten-free)! Highly recommend booking Ruze for your wedding, shower, bach party or next event!
Ruze cake house helped us with all the sweets for our wedding. My husband and I have the biggest sweet tooth’s so we knew we wanted a lot of dessert but also wanted it to look classy. From the tasting, to the collaboration to make sure our “dessert vision” came true, to the final product, every detail was accounted for and absolutely delicious. It has been a month from our big day and guests are still asking where the dessert was from! Thank you so much Ruze!
Our group was split on this place. We ordered a mix of what should have been sweet and savory macrons, but even the savory ones were 100% too sweet for most of us. The person in our group with a major sweet tooth thought they were good though. We also ordered hot chocolates, which again had way too much sugar. The hot chocolates were infused with various flavors, but it was was hard to taste it through the sugar. We also had an issue with some of them being lukewarm at best. The decor is very charming. The space is a little small for the amount of seating they tried to put in there however.People who order very sugary drinks from Starbucks or Dutch bros will probably enjoy this place, but theres not much for you here if you like a dessert with a bit more nuance.
Lots of gluten-free options which is nice. Some flavors are amazing, others not so much. A bit pricey and that is my main complaint as there are no deals (I bought 10 macaroons) and they charge for their gift box.
Always my favorite spot to pick up macarons, cookies, and cupcakes 😁
Incredible macaroons and intelligently crafted drinks. This beautiful shop seems to have been copy/pasted right from a magazine. Operated and owned by a daughter and mother duo, stocked with friendly staff and delectable treats, Rüže is a must for anyone visiting Old Town.
The cupcakes are exceptionally delicious, fresh. The macaroons are so lovely and delicate, unusual flavors.Nothing tastes artificial therefore no after taste.
What a great little place! The owner came out to talk to us and recommend some macaroons (which are to die for!). My wife and I stayed for coffee and some sweets and loved it. The quality here is unmatched, youll quite literally taste the difference.
The decor is adorable! The menu is extremely creative and delicious. This a must go to place if your in the Scottsdale area. They have great macaroons, cupcakes, lemonade, tea, hot chocolate, you name it! It is a bit pricey but it’s worth it.
Super beautiful shop ! The cakes are out of this world, I have seen many weddings that have used them and they are gorgeous !!!
This is my altogether favorite pastry Shop. You can eat delicious pastries, on display. Or custom order whatever you want. They also have drinks to order.
I found this hidden gem, while in Scottsdale, and although it was pretty much hidden, I found it.I walked in to a wonderful display of macarons, crazy flavors, like french fry, and Trix cereal bar.I got my half dozen salted caramel macaroons and a strawberry lemonade. The macarons were not at a cool temp and the filling was everywhere .Very sweet cookie
My boyfriend ordered me a cake from here and it was to-die-for. The owner is super nice! Thank you so much for making my party so special, the cake truly was the center of attention!
Really yummy macarons! A sweet gift! Thank you!
The food and beverages that are served and made here are straight fire. I frequent this part of town on the weekends and I always have to stop by and grab a drink or two and some pastries. Two words, straight fire 🔥
Adorable shop with yummy baked goods. Careful- everything is pretty overpriced, but I will say the macarons are worth it. They have a creamy filling that is very different from the typical macaron filling. Dont bother getting the sugar cookies. They are cute, but too old/crunchy.
Place is so cute and clean, modern european touch to it. The sweets are very cute and tasty but a little too much sugar. Capuccino was cafelatte no capuccino as I ordered it. The service by the 2 older ladies was very good but the young girl didnt really know how to answer couple of questions related to the bakery and coffee. Over all, I will go back.
Nice atmosphere. Delicious cupcakes! Macaroons were also excellent!
Walking down main street, saw the sidewalk sign for boba tea. It is set back off Main St in a walkthrough alley. A real hidden gem. Very cute small cafe, only offerings seem to be assortment of teas and macaroon, but what an assortment. The tea concoctions include mixtures such as earl grey, lavender, chai, and the Ruze which includes prickly pear and other flavors. There were easily 15 or more varieties of macaroons in so many delicious sounding flavors. Alas, I could not indulge having just come from an excellent lunch of Thai food at Malees. But that did not stop my husband who finally opted for a salted caramel macaroon. I had the Ruze tea and he had spiced chai, both cold with boba. To our surprised delight, they came out garnished with a nimbus of cotton candy.I understand from other reviews that they make wedding cakes, and I could see how they would be great at that. But I can also imagine a great macaroon buffet with all of their imaginative flavors. This would be great fun at any party or event. The cafe decor is just adorable: simple white walls, floor, tables; copper accents in furnishings, light and decor; hand crafted white pottery holding a variety of cacti, succulents and other greenery. Johanna Gaines would drool over the simple elegance.Next time you are in downtown Scottsdale, treat yourself to a Macaroon and Tea break at this perfect little place.
I was randomly walking around the art district and came across this cute cake house. The macarons were so cute and beautifully decorated. I got the carrot cake and French fry. Compared to lauderee, le Lette, Fauchon, the filling was not as chewy or dense, but light which I liked. The pink velvet cupcake flavor was great, but little on the denser side. The flavors were creative and the inside was well decorated. Very Instagram worthy. The lovely girl helping me out was super sweet. I would definitely try other flavors if I’m ever back in the area.
Yummy! Cold brew coffee with a little bit of sweet cookie on the side❤
Came in to try something new. The blonde girl that worked there had attitude and was rude. Right when my husband had paid she left to the back to sit down. The drink she had made us was disgusting. I had went back to trade it in and that drink was disguting too. She wasnt even going to give me difference for the trade. I even asked what the prices were and she said i dont know. The service and food over all was terrible. Would not recommend!!
Amazing service. Beautiful place and great people!
All I can say is lavender buttercream...yummmmmmmm.
Awesome experience, amazing cakes and the friendliest staff ever! You will not be disappointed.
Great place with great treats. Staff is always glad to see you.
Came here for a Jr. Model, Meet and Greet for my daughter. It is such a lovely, chic looking French Bakery. It had a warm, cozy and inviting aura. The Owners are Mother and Daughter. They had Teaspressas and Salted Caramel Macarons. Delish!!We plan to go back for her birthday morning this weekend. She wants to compare the Croissants to the ones she had in Paris. She loves everything French!! Me too!! Ooh La La!!
Amazing lavender vanilla coffee, highly recommended.
Cool place with delicious macaroons!
Cream puffs and custom fortune cookies!
Delicious cupcakes, moist, amazing!
Great experience!
What are your prices ?
Great food!
The most delicious macaroons ever. We got them for our wedding and they did not disappoint. We got a ton of compliments on them. I am not usually a macaroon fan but these were so freaking good. We got the salted caramel (to die for) and birthday cake flavor. We don’t live in AZ or I may be going there weekly for more!
Very clean and very friendly
